When a Sikh would cut his own beard for the sake of joining the army you know he is putting his nation before his own life. That’s way more dedication than the majority of soldiers out there.

I remember being pregnant 20 years ago and being so sick and exhausted and one day going to an Indian restaurant owned by Sikhs to try eat something and a miracle happened. They introduced me to their cuisine and how it is different from the rest of cuisine eaten in India and, for the first time in my pregnancy, I felt wonderful. I continued to eat the Sikh food throughout my pregnancy and felt great. I ended up having a big, strong, healthy baby boy who is now 19 years old. When he was a toddler, he used to shovel Sikh food in his mouth. Thank you Colorado Springs Sikh community for saving my pregnancy and my son.

A lot of Canadians were upset when the Canadian government allowed Sikh's to join the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and still wear their turban. From 2015-21 the Canadian Defence Minister was a Sikh. He had been a policeman and was in the Army reserves. He served with the CDN. Army in Afghanistan. While there he served with the Americans.. Unfortunately , as Defence Minister he embellished his exploits in Afghanistan. The Americans publicly stated that he was not telling the truth about his experiences. Right now the Defence Minister, Anita Annand, is a woman Hindu from India. I think the government did that to punish all those generals in the Cdn. Army that were sexually harassing women.

Again, there are several rules and restrictions like no non-agricultural person can buy land outside the municipal limits in Himachal Pradesh or there was the issue of buying land in Kasmir which has recently been scrapped or there is a rule which allows only the people with tribal background to buy land in some parts of north-eastern states. Again, these rules are for all the Indian citizens to follow and not just for punjabis. Therefore, there is no such rule that discriminates Punjabis from buying lands in the other states.

tikka masala it is ironic that your forefathers also "worshipped cows" meaning who converted to Islam from either Hinduism or Buddhism during islamic invasion (assuming you are a Muslim in and around Indian sub continent). Secondly, I'm not Hindu but cows provide source of food (milk) and are given respect for this reason in the indian culture and this has been for 1000s of years in the Indian sub continent. It was never a religious thing but now is being distinguished as one because Muslims like to point out and hate everything that is not Islamic. Thirdly, after millions of Hindus and Buddhist were converted to Islam (by force and will) in almost 1000 years of Islamic invasion of India, the few converted ones have now created this pretense about Hinduism, Sikhism and other Indian religions that they are not godly religions. The truth is that Indian religions are in fact more spiritual in nature than abrahamic religion which of course have a pinch of hateful rethoric in their holy texts towards other religions.

Gagan Singh yes our forefathers were polytheists, and we do not care for them, neither love them. Cows give milk, yes, but male cows or bulls do not. we eat them for sustenance and there is nothing wrong with that. Our Prophet is the most beloved to us after Allah, Almighty God. We neither worship our prophets, nor our teachers, nor righteous good doers, we do not worship or seek help from animals or ANYTHING besides God because they have no power over anything to be worthy of our servitude. Only God. If you do not come to Islam u will be burnt over and over and over again due to your disbelief and arrogance against the One to whom you owe everything to. Not a thousand or million years, but forever, the fire keeps burning you alive and you are given boiling water to drink if you are thirsty. We try to get you folks to convert for your own benefit and so you can be protected from corruption and lewdness in this world, and ultimately not have to face destruction in the Hereafter.
Religion to is is not to feel holy or just have a spiritual kick, it's to call to success those who fear their Creator and Lord the way He should be feared and revered. If only you thought rationally about the favors on you, you would curse yourself and hate the fact that you worship things that don't bring any benefit to you. It is better if you come to Islam and you will be rewarded with lush gardens and springs and all that you desire. No harm will touch you there and it will be everlasting and endless. I am only one who advised you to overlook your past and come to truth. No other religion will be accepted from you

      Nagas were never mercenaries.
They were merry defenders of their land from Indian agression.
Naga region had historically been always independent but India started full scale agression in the early 50s. The first Naga regiment was formed in the early 60s after a section of Nagas decided to accept Indian administration on their ancestral land. The former rebels were recruited in the Indian Army because of their expertise in Guerilla Warfare and that's how Naga regiment was formed.

    • @americanmetalhead3954

Shadow Skill “brainwashed” It’s something called “patriotism”. And loving your nation and supporting troops because of helping people who live in warzones and are broken, it’s nothing wrong. I really think that our troops are doing the right thing, they fight against terrorists, Shadow, people who kidnap, rape and murder every single day, USA can’t allow that, they need help, and the US is capable of doing it which is great. It may be dangerous for the people who live inside those war zones, regardless all the problems they had in the past, they may be dealing with new ones including the war, which is devastating. Nonetheless, it’s important to mention that it’s all heritage and not politics. Liberals can hate the politics but not our troops, this is what a Liberal said when I told him why hate our troops and he said; “We don’t hate the people who get deployed, but the people who sends them” and reading your comment, and analyzing it, I can see you don’t support our troops, nor like them or any other sort of thing that supports them. But I can see you don’t support them, and you’re calling them “murderers”. Listen, you may call them like that, but they’re not. Despite the great amount of criminals our troops have taken down, you have no right to call them like that, they do it to keep America and the whole world safe from any threat. It was an honor debating with you, I hope we can keep this debate/talk going on but not fight, thank you and I hope you understand.

Tyler Durden I really don’t agree as well with the “voting” aspect, but the “drinking” habit, it’s for wealth. You wouldn’t allow a drunk Soldier/Marine/Sailor (any other serviceman) drink on-duty, it’s just not good to know an addict person is out there fighting and maybe kill innocents. Despite all those bad habits, some good habits are not allowed, which is not good. But in the bad ones, good to know they are not allowed, they do that for a better life and a wealthier style of life, now I think it’s a good idea to send a drunk person to the military for rehabilitation haha, just kidding. But I really agree in the voting aspect, have a great day, Tyler, just like with Shadow, I wish this talk continues in a good aspect.

The tactical-ness of it honestly comes from the fact that it breaks up the facial features via natural camouflage. No matter your skin color, a beard can help break up your outline and hide your face. It, weirdly enough, blends in quite well.

Well yeah in Afghanistan beard and turban gets you some respect among local elders and they open up and are likely to share information.. that is how Canadians defence minister who was in army got all the information there.
That is the reason most people while deployed in Afghanistan especially the one who deal with the locals grow beards.

We had a Sikh truck driver one time. Told us about his son who was special forces. Showed us a Halloween picture of him. Dude was Leonidas from 300. 100% looked the part. Guy was a beast. Dad truck driver was cool as hell too. Always had respect for Sikh faith from what I've read of it. Always struck me as one of the few faiths that really pushes you to be better.
