Thank you! Finally a quality video about this! Also, did you know that the 07-13 CV axles are 2in longer so you can ditch your spacer and have better angles. Just an fyi, thanks for the video!
I've done this swap on my yukon. Same exact setup youre using. Couldn't be happier, handling is amazing. I'm currently running the vikings at 7/9 clicks. I ride Colorado trails every weekend and you gotta have bumpstops. With 35's I'll grind the tire on aggressive turns. I was thinking of cutting the rough country torsion bar bracket and welding it to the lower control arm then just mounting a universal bumpstop to it. Looking forward to your videos!
Sweet glad to see you are the one to finally make an install video about the Atomic Fab kit! Currently changing gears and building a fresh 5.3 for my 2006. The coil over conversion will hopefully happen after that.
Hell ya!! I haven’t played your video yet but I cannot wait. I just got my 06 Sierra I’ve been wanting to do this mod, there is no vids on out there till now
HIGHPIPE5280 LSX atomic fab doesn’t make a kit for HD trucks. I’ve been wanting to do this to my 1500HD for a while but haven’t found any aftermarket support. Probably just going to have to fab my own kit.
@@Chevrolet263 cutting edge fab, lsk and soo kibbetech have coilover conversions for the HD trucks. They have boxed uca and lca, shock tower to fit a longer 8" stroke king.
You would have been doing the removal for a few days if the truck was from up north. I had a 02 yukon from Michigan and went to do LCAs.. getting the torsion bars out required me cutting the torsion bar support and then pounding the hell out of the torsion bar on the LCA. Not to mention every bolt was stuck real good.
I want to do this to my 06 1500 crew, I've always hated the torsion bar system, it's either to low, or rides to rough, there's no middle.. I'm run stick suspension and stick Height with my 20x12-44 on 33x12.5s. looks awesome and still has a nice stick ride feeling, has the stock rake still, it levels out with my work tools loaded, I'm loaded 75% if the time, seems to ride smoother loaded with about 4-500lbs
Nice if only my truck had a new paint job, it look like this👍🏼 I hate the torsion bars, feels like the lower c. Arms are Gona snap a ball joint, happened twice on me… I needa do a conversion soon… don’t like the feeling of the suspension
I looked on their website, and wasn't able to find anything about an option for 2500 HD's. Anyone know if there's a comparable system for HD Diesel trucks?
Bro, quick question; I have an 03 Extcab Silverado. OLD STOCK LOOSE AS HELL suspension, way too much body roll. I want my sway and suspension to be a lot tighter than it is; what do you recommend. I got the truck for free, and it is my daily, but it is also my project. I neeeeed guidance. I am a big fan of this pick up. (The one currently featured)
Endless Wishlist i actually have a new 13 piece kit for the front and just bought brand new lower control arm bushings. Just dont have all of the tools to put them on as of yet. Which [budget friendly] shocks do you recommend? Appreciate the response.
Does the lift have to be done before the conversion? And if so what lift recommend for a 2007 chevy silverado 1500 classic 4wd looking for a 6 inch lift
No but just doing the coil overs won’t lift the truck. Level or lift the truck to get it where you want it. Then you measure and he sends you the correct parts. I have a BDS lift and love it
@@EndlessWishlist what lift was on there previous to the coilovers? I have a 6” but my UCA’s have been relocated and I really wanna buy this conversion kit
It’s the same lift kit. Just took the torsion bars off and replaced with coil overs. I have the bds 6.5 mine is a spindle lift. Yours sounds like a full drop kit. I’m not sure if it will clear. I’d message atomic fab.
Endless Wishlist could you give me the part number off the box? That would help figure it out. Truck looks good! I’m always happy to see you post a new video. Can’t wait for more LS Tahoe/Yukon videos.
Endless Wishlist thanks. Yes sir. From that part number it looks like it is a 14” long spring, 2.5” inside diameter, and a spring rating of 650lbs. What I needed to know was the 650 lbs. rating.
He sent me 14 inch 750 lb springs and my truck went straight to the ground I've been very upset about it because all the godamn money I spent and Richard really told me alot of stuff that really didn't help. So I'm riding around with coilovers and torsion bars. yayyyyy. He may have been mad that I didn't buy his brackets and built my own but shit he wants way too much for the brackets. I'll could make and sell them for $150 bottom and top. The guys to busy for you do your own research and get the right springs first time I'm in need of 850 lb or a highly priced custom 1000 lb rating springs anybody want trade 2.5id/16/850 rating for my brand new eiabac 2.5/14/750lb rate
I would do the same swap but I've got an 06 Duramax, BDS has a version like this but is 3500, I hate the look of my dropped torsion bars and those brackets would be an awesome upgrade

Thank you!!! I’ve been waiting for someone to do a video on these
Looking forward to watching this when im off work, i want to do this to my 2002!
Great video I'm definitely thinking about doing it to mine ...keep them comeing 👍

Ever had a problem out of the independent 4wd
The kit looks nice, I'm curious to see how it is holding up after some miles on it. Maybe a video on how all the upgrades on the truck are doing

why were there no shocks up front in the beginning??
Awesome
Alright back to black beauty. 👍
I could see the torsion bar protecting that drive shaft if your off roading even if it is dead weight
yeah im gonna keep the crossmembers the frame will be stronger
How is it holding up? Looks amazing

Did you do a diff drop ? I am looking into lifting my Chevy 4” and idk if I should do cv spacers or diff drop. Help please!
1. 1500 or 2500 ?
2. will this work on Chevy OBS 88-98 ?
Where did you get the parts
Any issue with the transfer case leaking from pump rub? My 00 Silverado has that issue....
No nothing yet. Just the rear seal.
I heard you can do this conversion with the 1997 OBS Style. Does anybody have any information on that?
Think the shocks will rub on the upper control arms. Seen a vid of a guy using some shocks off a lower year, and shocks were rubbing.
I could be wrong
This looks like a badass setup. What's the website it's not in the description.
Shoot my bad. I’ll put it in there right now.
@@EndlessWishlist I so want to do this to my 03 silverado now

Where can I go to get pricing i need to know if they make it for a 06 with a 7.5 inch lift
I would go to his website and email him.
You looking to sell your old non drop torsion bar brackets? I know a guy looking for a set.
We’re your UCA’s in the stock location still or did you move them when swapping to coils?
Stock location

What is your front spring rate on your eibach springs? I’d like to get a set for my trucks as well.
I’ll be honest with you I have no clue. I just told the guy my measurements and he sent the springs. I can probably find out though.

Yea probably

No idea. I just measured and told Atomic the measurements. He sends what you need.
