    You made that look pretty easy. Well done.
    I have a problem with a recent new ME split install.
    Fan only, runs quiet , but when in heat mode makes a hell of a racket. After enquiring with Mitsi Electric, tech person suggested that the indoor unit might not be attached to the wall bracket correctly, in particular the centre hook at the top of the bracket. Would you agree with this possibility, or could it be something else?

      @hvacraustralia  Před 16 dny

      I have seen that before where the middle clip isn’t in correctly and in heating mode the unit expands and makes contact with the fan barrel. Makes an aggressive noise. Can always be something too, but first check how it’s sitting.

      @@hvacraustralia The installers returned and found that it WAS the middle clip not located properly. All fixed.😁

    So, this is basically an MSY-GT unit (which sold in my country) but with a bit bigger CDU with blue fin condenser, not a cost-cutting cute and small CDU with microchannel condenser.
    Also, nice installation.

      It’s always interesting seeing the same brands but from different locations and their variations. Where are you from? Thanks mate.

    Much easier way is to do install the wires to the head unit instead of using a snake before mounting the head unit. Saves a lot of time because head unit is infront of you instead of the wall!! Just the way I've always done it cheers!

    Hey mate. The wall brackets you use outside, what was the wall made out of and what screws and how many did you use? Reason for asking is that I am going to install the same unit at my property but my wall outside is cladding.

    • @hvacraustralia
      @hvacraustralia  Před 5 měsíci

      Hey mate. It was a rendered brick wall. I used 5 masonry anchors to secure it. Probably overkill for this size though.

    I had this same model installed recently. When the compressor is running slow maintaining temp, it vibrates the outer casing in front of the compressor, so annoying. I notice on this model they don’t stamp a pattern into the sheet metal on the front to give it rigidity, Might have to see if it’s a warranty job.

      Hey mate. I use the metal hollow wall anchors, and a few timber screws into the studs.

    Great installation video, it was nice to see you pressure test it. Cool to see you installed the isolator. I have been seeing a lot of PCB's getting fried by power surges from lighting or power lines. Have you ever thought of including surge protection in the switchboard?

    • @hvacraustralia
      @hvacraustralia  Před rokem

      Thanks mate. You just know the day you don’t pressure test is the day you have a leak 😂 I haven’t. If it was a larger installation, VRV or some such, then I imagine people would go for that. Is that something you install as standard?

      @@hvacraustralia I'm not a sparky/fridgie I just watch lots of videos on the topic. I know customers want the cheapest price so offering surge protection is difficult but you mentioned it was a friend you were installing for and I just thought you might consider it.

    when I turn on the air conditioner for heating, I have to wait 5 minutes before the air conditioner starts blowing

    • @hvacraustralia
      @hvacraustralia  Před 4 měsíci

      With Mitsubishi, the indoor fan won’t run until the coil thermistor reads above a set temperature to prevent cold air from being circulated. 5 minutes does seem a little long to start running, but hard to say. When it runs doesn’t it produce hot air?

    wish they would stop selling that cheap crap white insulated pipe.. black inso fired rated pipe is the pipe i use, especially due to the hot WA climate

    • @hvacraustralia
      @hvacraustralia  Před 7 měsíci

      I’ve used the fire rated stuff a few times. It looks 10x better too. The WA sun would rip through the white insulation.
