I couldn’t find a good video on this mold either so I was like hey why not make one because a lot of the videos use the more flexible mold 🤷🏻‍♀️ Let me know how it goes when you try again!! ❤️

    • @SugarTwinsLV
      @SugarTwinsLV  Před 3 lety

      No you never want to add water to your chocolate, some melting chocolate won’t need anything added to it but if it is a little thick for you then adding vegetable shortening or paramount crystals works great! Those are the two I’ve tried before but I heard coconut oil and vegetable oil work good too. You want an oil based product to mix with chocolate and only a little at a time, using water will seize your chocolate 😊 hope this helps!

      You can use candy melts. Wilton, merckens, ghiradeli, or sweet tooth fairy, they come in different colors if you want something other than chocolate or white. Except for ghiradeli, if you want to color your chocolate we recommend colourmill, they are oil based food coloring which is good for candy or chocolate. We use sweet tooth fairy but you can use Wilton, merkins or ghiradeli chocolate as well, what chocolate are you using? Put it in a microwaveable bowl and microwave for 30 seconds at a time, mix it in between the 30 seconds till it’s a nice smooth consistency, don’t overheat or it will seize, so stick to 30 second intervals. If it’s too thick you can add vegetable shortening or paramount crystals a little at a time and it will thin out the chocolate, don’t put too much tho. Let me know if it works for you!

      Melting chocolate wafers like candy melts, if you use real chocolate you will need some kind of oil to thin it out. Paramount crystals work really good, vegetable shortening is also a good alternative. Only using a little at a time. Make sure you don’t over heat it or it will seize and get hard

    • @SugarTwinsLV
      @SugarTwinsLV  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah you can do that, sometimes we use a 6 or 8 inch cake board and glue it down with chocolate, we’ve tried gluing it down to the box but when you move it, it just detaches. If you do it glue down one side with chocolate and then go around and add chocolate to the rest of it, if you try to put chocolate around the whole thing before gluing it down sometimes it starts to harden before you can set it down
