Hi you can use chocolate as well but I will tell you I had a difficult time taking them out the mold when I made chocolate letters. The fondant letters are more flexible especially since the hear us not completely flat. Hope this helps:)

I tried 1 before watching your video& it broke. Sides wore fine, but bottom part broke. Any suggestions. I uses normal milk chocolate, as candy melts are quite expensive.

Can you use a non stick muffin pan for the Oreos instead of the plastic?
Hmm I’m thinking you could but the only thing Is if they don’t pop out, you can’t push them out from the bottom.
I did just to try it and oh though it came out beautiful with the deviation, I still think that plastic molds is a better choice. I had to use double stuff Oreo cause the mouth was wider.

Chefmaster or colormill food coloring is best
How long does the Chocolate hold up before it melts
As long as is stays cool, it will last as long as you’d like. It won’t melt unless it gets too warm.

How did you fix the break?
lately i have reading bad reviews on wilton candy melt, any recent experiences?
They quality is definitely different now. Sometimes I find it harder to melt as smoothly as I use to.
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong I did the same but when I take it out the fridge it starts melting and doesn’t smash it sinks in

How are you melting it? Microwave?
