How I Beacon Rush by Day 2 in Frostpunk - A New Home

This tutorial presents the way that I open the scenario "A New Home" on the second day!
In case there are any issues in potential future updates to the game, the current version as of this upload is 1.6.1.
In this tutorial, I break down how I play the second day at the normal difficulty setting.
The sooner you complete the beacon and send out scouts, the sooner you can get your hands on the resources and people that are trapped in the frozen wasteland!
By the end of this guide, you will have done exactly that!
The biggest advantage of this setting is the pause feature.
The second day for this scenario is when I construct the beacon and send my first scouts out. Getting more people is essential to the survival of the city!

Depending on the scenario, sometimes I split my scouts down different paths or make them both run as far as they can and deliver a huge haul 😜!
@@PhatBeetzGaming oh wait i read it wrong lmao i thought u meant what are the first locations in the scenario, i actually go Lost expedition take the ppl back and rush Winterhome (i take automaton down) as fast as possible, after Winterhome i either go destroy the mine, go to Convoy or Springs, after Winterhome i get the 2nd scout unit to rush Tesla City (i set the outpost) and Frozen Dreadnought (Dreadnought gives you iron, super good in late game where you have to upgrade tents which costs a lot of steel if you dont have the New house design researched) after These two i get the 3rd scout and focus on saving ppl from frostland (thought good city requries at least 200~ people) the ealier you get the speed upgrades and rush winterhome->Tesla city-> Dreadnought then you Will be stacked Real good for storm: A lot of iron and steam cores for homes and hospitals, food (if you decide to go with the craphouses) and automatons (Real good for end game if your doing no death)
@@rockstachpl99 Looks like you've got this scenario down! Early access to cores gives lots of wiggle room for error as well as automatons! Breaking down that one at the bridge is a good choice for that early extra core as well!
Lost Expo (send) → Sturdy Shelter →Return with Rations & wood.
Then go for the Automaton, if Crash Site is available I'll grab it on the way back for the Raw Food, then push all the way out to Coal mine (dismantle), & hit the Large Convoy on the way back & Escort them home.
best tutorial for beginner that I can found. others are 1-2 hour long, this one is sliced to short videos make it less intimidating and can be consumed during lunch break. Also straight to the point. Wonderful work!

Thanks bro, It really helped me. When I first started my first 3 runs it was really bad only survived till 10-20 Days after that I got to 100 but didn't survive for discontent. After watching this It helped me to get past the 30 day mark I hope I will survive the Storm.

Yeah, I'm keeping an eye on any changes they might make. Since the creation of these guides, they haven't changed the balance or mechanics too drastically.
There are random events that might happen with each attempt, but I've tried to capture the general strategies to get through each scenario!

A reason your 1 Engineer may not have shown up to work at the medical post is if that was one of the sick people.
The game won't let them work because once they're working they'll go to treatment, thus stop working, then they'll be no one to treat them, so they'll go to work... It's a glitchy cycle, so the game just has them not work.
Good point! You can see this glitch a lot in Winterhome...especially at the beginning. If you're trying to keep people alive for extra challenge, this keeps you on your toes!
I don't really understand how you researched the beacon at night, mine is just paused after 20:00 at ~40%, so I need to wait through half a workday just to get to the same spot.
EDIT: I probably just missed that you turned on extended shift for Workshop. :)
Yeah I apologize for the editing...I was trying to keep it balanced between pacing and information!
I've received similar feedback from others as well. I think I got better about it as I went through the game, but I may have missed a detail here and there!
Actually, I'm also quite confused, why the workshop still worked after 20:00, it would need emergency shift, not extended shift.
My research went to 99% in 20:00, (2 tier1 researches cost 14 hours which just equals to extended workday, but due to the click time will cost no less than 0, additionally, I only had 9 wood for research before second day), but it still finished after 20:00, I don't know why.
A resource depot that close to the inner ring? Why? It doesn't need heat. Silly to waste prime building space for storage you don't even need right now. Again, you build the beacon a building that does need heat in an area you're going to end up heating. You'll end up heating a building that doesn't need heat.
Faster gathering is a trap. It's not worth doing now. There are other tecs much better at this time. By the time your research it your gathering of the piles will be almost over. So your faster gathering nets you nothing again at this time.
