- I review the hilariously fun Dodge Charger Hellcat. With it's 4 doors, roominess and large trunk, it's also a very practical family sedan. What do you think of these? Huge thanks to Dodge for providing this car to review!

Maybe I'm weird for this but I've always preferred the Charger over the Challenger. Putting a 707hp engine in a 4 door car with plenty of space in the back with heated seats is an amazing option. I love it
Same i would take the charger hellcat any day
If it came in the Manual i would buy it
@@yungpepereacts5674 auto will out run the manual and is still very fun
same same same
Mustang, Charger/Challenger, Camaro... Good times we live in. Good times indeed!
we need a 300 hellcat
Not the shitstang lol
Mustang didn't bring nothing since gt500 years ago. Gt350 nice but Ford is slow bringing things to market.
ace 1 5.0s have been killing many different types of cars even supercars
Corvette zo6 will gap all of them
This has to be one of the best cars ever made. Mad power lots of space , cool factor, enough tech and luxurious . 60+k cant touch it
blkbird98ta 100% agreee
the Hellcat charger is a hilarious car..Its about 4300 lbs and a 4 door yet can smoke the shit out of a base corvette..707hp..that's 2 nismo 370z under 1 hood.lol....Dodge really raised the bar with this car and for the price you can't get more power.More hp then a v12 Aventador LOL..wtf Dodge...you crazy fucks.Cant wait to see what the gt500 is gonna do and when the zr1 is out...The streets are getting fast pretty soon everyones gonna have a 10 second daily...crazy times we live.
What bout amg coupe

YES INDEED bro you read my mind, i legit was trying to explain this to my friends when we were all high af but they were not on the same page as me lmao I was trying to explain to them how in the future it is going to be so easy for a teenager to get a stupid fast car for a decent price lol
Yup, you can definitely hear the national anthem every time you hit the go pedal.😍
Vayetsii Yup, I hear "Oh, Canada!" every time I floor it! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Yup , I can hear all of my slaved ancestors building this country in that engine. 🤯
MoneyMan Bino Unneeded comment.
@@bino2solid you really didn't need to say that
You should really do some research about the national anthem
Came to watch his reaction to "Lets turn down this back road" 8:55 great review matt👍👍👍👍
Giovanni The G35 Fan straight road*
His reactions are priceless. lol
Anonymousjoe64 straight road , back road , depends on his mood lol
Thanks only part i wanted to watch lol !!
That front end is so amazingly aggressive. I love it. I like the rear too. It's just the side that looks so old and bland that it's forgettable, like any average family sedan. I wish the side matched the front end
Your energy and enthusiasm to review the cars is at the top.
Pretty much the same reactions I had reviewing a 2015. It is hard to argue the basic points this car makes: Under 70K, warranty, 707hp! The auto is on the ball and the straight line fun is practically unmatched.
I'd still prefer the CTS-V over a Hellcat. Call me crazy haha. Dodge's automatic transmission is what steals the show, obviously the power difference/roots blower whine as well.
I have driven and reviewed the 2009 CTS-V but haven't had a go in the most current model. But I am quite sure I would love it. But, again the price... 20 grand buys a lot of gas and definitely some stickier tires. (ok, and a B woody intake, the hellcat I drove had that intake and man it brings that whine to the front!)
This is defiantly on one of the cars I want to get when I got my computer engineering degree my wife won't complain and I get a fun car ;).
i'd rather get a 2013-14 gt500. about the same price or much cheaper, exact same 0-60 in a lighter car. (lighter than the challenger hc as well.) but thats my opinion. i know the challenger has more power but the 662hp and 631lb-ft gt500 is good enough for me considering they have the same top speed.
Yup, but no 4 doors! As a family guy the Charger gets it!
Dude, your reviews are the best!!!! Your reactions to forward thrust alone are enough to get me to subscribe!!! Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see your review of the new ZR1!!!
Thank you!
No problem. Your thank you response prompted me to watch the Hell cat review again. Is that a "lets turn down this back road" t-shirt you have on? ROTFLMAO!!! Perfect! Dude, you own that phrase! Lol.... Keep up the good work.
They look better and better each year
Plz matt keep this style of car reviews. Loved your intro. Keep up the excellent reviews you provide the general public
this car looks really sick. love it so much
Starting off the year strong, great video!
Great job showing this particular vehicle! I purchased the 2006 Daytona & loved every minute I had it. I was forced to sell due to a personal issue but I’m in better situation now. So I’m on the hunt &I want one of these & I’m willing to pay!
My first time watching your videos..Excellent review! You are straight and to the point !
Great review Matt! I really enjoy your videos - they are pure! I appreciate to watch your channel grow! BTW, I think that Charger has a very big and bold rear armrest with two cupholders built in.
This man is the most genuine person on youtube
I have a soft corner for cars.. And i just want to say.. Thank you.. You are doing great job..
8:06 a lime green lambo passes by in the rear view mirror 😂
that green lamborghini just happens to drive by in the rear view at 8:00
I loved your laugh when you were accelerating. I know that thrust must have been unreal.
love your reviews dude been here since you had your brz, mini cooper.
can't wait to get out of my honda accord v6 so i can jump into the hellcat srt it looks fun watching it and hearing the power that this car can create
Love the reaction Matt
8:52 is what you guys came for! 🔥👍
lol
the money shot
He looks like he came
Badass review Matt
dude,,,,nice to see you reviewing a Hellcat. I love your review of the 300C SRT8 back east in NY.
Great review👌🏽👌🏽 i cant wait to get mine, its def gonna be my daily driver🔥🔥😎😎🙏🏽
Nice review Matt, I love those old school door handles
Great review Matt! Is there anyway you could start giving information on the headroom and legroom of future reviewed vehicles? As someone who is on the tall side, this is important to me when considering a vehicle. If you could that would great. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I've always showed the legroom and headroom for the back seat in all my reviews. If the front seat seems to have limited headroom or legroom I mention it, but for most cars of a similar type, I've found the headroom to usually be pretty similar.
Man.... I'm a Chevy guy but I LOVE the new Chargers.... Especially the hell cat! Great review as always Matt! Heck yeah!
Se ha de sentir tan satisfactorio para mí casi lloro al ver tu reacción jajaja buenas reseñas 👌👍
I love the Charger Hellcat. Dodge just said eff it and made a 707 hp daily driver. Why? Because send it!
Chevy's had that since 2009 in the Cadillac CTS-V.. Sure it's not as powerful (556 hp vs. 707) yet the Caddy does look tons better. The interior is garbage with Dodge. The Hellcat's transmission is what truly shines overall.
Well the new CTS-V is 640 HP and is a match for the hellcat in a straight line, but completely destroys it around a track or any kind of turn. That's why the CTS-V will always be better than the hellcat, in addition to better build quality and higher quality materials - the CTS-V is a real performance sedan in the vein of the M5, while the hellcats are just straight line muscle cars that really don't handle well.
I have a gen 2 CTS-V with about 700 HP, and I would drive that any day of the week over any hellcat. I've driven both, and the CTS-V - previous and current gen - are higher quality cars with better handling.
+Irit8ed - "I think you guys are missing the point of the HC"
So pointing out facts like how it doesn't handle well and how it has low quality materials is "missing the point"? How about this: We're not missing the point, we're actually describing some very real flaws with the car.
"ts not about better. Better is up to the buyer to determine"
If it's not about better, then that explains why you drive s Smart car. Right?
"The HC does what it was designed for really well."
It was designed to go in a straight line and nothing else. That's exactly what we have been saying.
" I traded a CTS-vsport for my HC.. I understand there a massive difference in a v-sport and "V", but I wouldn't go back for anything,"
But now you're attempting to draw false equivalency between a 420 HP Vsport and a 640 HP CTS-V that does everything massively better than the Vsport. Yes the hellcat is faster than the vsport, which is why you wouldn't go back to the vsport. The CTS-V is an entirely different animal, and it's not any slower than the hellcat, and handles much MUCH better than the hellcat. So if you were to drive them both back to back, it's safe bet that you would not want to go back to the hellcat, because the hellcat provides an inferior driving experience.
"CUE was and abortion compared to U-Connect, my heated seats actually heat in the Charger unlike my caddy, you couldn't even feel those things."
CUE has gotten much better, but the issue with CUE was mostly that people were being idiots about it and pressing on the chrome guide bars and expecting them to do something. You can even see it in videeo reviews, these dumbasses keep pushing on the chrome guide bars, then complain that CUE doesn't work. And as far as heated seats, I'm not sure what you're talking about. Mine get so hot you have to turn them off, if you put them in the hottest setting.
So you have to understand what we're talking about here. The hellcats are designed to go fast in a straight line... and that's it. People like me demand more out of a performance car than going fast in a straight line.
Vernon Price true if money was no option then I'd get the cts-v but it is depending on options is $15,000-$20,000 dollars more but I don't think I could give up my charger Hellcat for the CTS-V at this current time
+Jaikar Chatha - Sure, I understand that the CTS-V is more expensive. It's also a much better car. There is no comparison with build quality and interior quality. Dodge is making their muscle cars as cheaply as humanly possible, which is why you can get a hellcat for $65k - and it shows in the cheap materials they use. The CTS-V is an entirely different class of interior, everything is soft touch and solid. You're not paying the extra money for nothing. And then there's the platform, the chassis and the handling, which nobody can beat. You really are getting a lot more car for your money than you are with the hellcat.
I also found the lower pricing on the hellcats attractive until I drove one. It's still great value for money, it's still very fast in a straight line, but man is it missing any kind of finesse, balance, precision, all the stuff that makes a great driver's car is missing. It's essentially just a big engine in a really cheap Challenger/Charger body.. And I'd rather go with something like an ATS-V for the same $65k, even though the ATS-V is less powerful - it's a vastly better driver's car. The only thing the hellcats really have going for them is power, and I mean... straight line speed is really, really easy these days. I think it's better to start on a great driving platform and then add more power if you want it.
Yesss this is the year that this channel is going to explode! With a attention grabbing title like that and the excellent editing it should for sure draw more viewers in.
You can always tell when the car is fast by Matt's reaction. Lol!
Surprised it shifts so well. I might have to consider one now.
Nice video Matt! Nice Work!
Saw what you did with that rear view mirror shot! Pretty cool car too.
Anyone notice the green lambo that passed by when he was showing the view out the rear window 👀👀
Iconic muscle car
Finally part of the notification squad ❤️
Never been into Yellow cars, but I might have to trade in my SRT for that color combo! Looks great
No matter what car you review, you'll always remind me of an STI lol
It’s about time you reviewed a charger
Nice review! This is one cool sedan daily driver :))
I can't wait for your review on the new 2020 widebody chargers
Bumble Bee really upgraded himself
And your slogan let's turn on to this back road should probably be on the BACK of the shirt Matt. Small name on the from left pocket area, slogan on the back of the shirt. Come on make it official like the videos you produce.
Simmond Cannon people might misinterpret that rear slogan
Art Vandelay not the fans that watch the channel.
I agree with you. It looks odd in the front.
Diggin the intro music! An improvement
8:52 saw American eagles coming out of the exhaust!
This guys a identical twin to Subaruwrxfan
Sexxy Account why do people still say this? We all fooking know.
@@IzerOne I can't tell if you got wooooshed or not.
help me I’m not sure what that means lol.
@@IzerOne to get wooooshed means to miss a joke. The "woooosh" is the sound of the joke flying over your head
help me ouch lmaoooo
nice to know hes reviewing this where i live haha
Nice review as always! But uploading it two years ago it would have been a plus. When is the '18 mustang review coming?
is that Cody driving by in the green aventador at 8:03?
Haha no, similar car though. There were several supercars running up and down the road, decided to leave in that little easter egg lol.
I saw that too! 😂
8:24 Mustang fly by
Hellcat is my next Sports car!
I just bought a 2018, test drove c7 z06, gen6 zl1, 5.0, c63... this is the end all car.
WTF flew by at 16:20??? Did you catch a glimpse? Lol, great review btw.
Great vid 👍
Yep pretty much my reaction everyday! I try to keep it in 500hp mode, doesn't last past the exit of my driveway.
Lol
Hey Matt, they do have rear seat cup holders, just flip down the arm rest
Dodge always sounds great
That's call American muscle car 😎
Faisal Dante
With a German frame, Fiat transmission, and Italian brakes as well..... Yup!
Isamu Wallace Yup... But they bay for thim. what about Ford Focus st or the other one... The engine from Germany
Faisal Dante
Aww, yes, Henry Ford. The man who respected Hitler and recognized by Hitler. Some American things aren't so American.
Isamu Wallace you said Henry Ford respect Hitler its long time.. But Ford Focus it not was that day
Isamu Wallace Camaro is the best car
shoutout to the green lambo that drove by in the rear view mirror at 8:01 ;)
I was waiting for someone else to notice hahaha
Still believe his Merc CLA 45 AMG “back road” reaction is his best one yet lol
Huge and Fast. Weighs as much as a small town. Not nimble, no manual. No dice.
Great video Matt!! I was wondering which hellcat feels faster, the Charger or the Challenger?
Matt is the kind of dude who wears a t-shirt with his own name on it......
Since you just reviewed a Charger hellcat I was hoping maybe you can review the charger scatpack? You did a review on the challenger scatpack and I’m in the market right now, so I’m debating which one to go with. I would highly appreciate it
Dodge Challengers and Chargers rock!
Thanks for using my music Matt!
Notification squad here🙌🏻🙌🏻
Beautiful boat sir
Love seeing the Michigan license plates in all hellcat videos.
Anyone else realize at 8:03 a green lambo passed when he was filming the rear view mirror lol

This guys my favorite car reviewer. He literally giggled like a school girl when he floored it lol
I want to visit that back road.
OH LOOK! ANOTHER HELLCAT REVIEW
Matt Maran, where you in Las Vegas?!!
Yep! For SEMA back in November.
Love it!!!Where are you?
Mount Charleston outside of Vegas.
The back road made Matt so much money man
Hey Matt!! I have a question. I'm in the process of looking for a Mustang. What website do you use to look them up? Could you help me out with that please!
Can’t believe you didn’t find the cup holders in the back seat
Hey Matt. Which car would you say is better, Charger Scat Pack or Chevy SS sedan?
Can you please do a review on the Dodge Charger Scat Pack?
It’s only a good daily driver if you live in a place that doesn’t snow and you’ve got open roads to really appreciate the performance. I was about to buy one but I’m glad I didn’t since it’s way too much car for what my daily needs are. 35 mph 7 mile round trip every day. I settled for the Scat Pack and even that can be too much car especially with the horrible Michigan weather.
he really let that mustang gas him at 8:25 lmao could never be me.
I need that shirt 😂😂😂
Do the Charger 392 next❗️
Long Live S.K., you’re in luck. He just did one today. Go check
Why isn't there a hellcat badge in the front next to the srt?
best car ever!
Can someone answer this.
You know how in other cars you press a button before the exhaust opens up so you can hear that loud sound
Does the charger have the same thing or the exhaust is just loud when you start it up ?
The hellcat is loud initially when powered on but when you're on the road it's not overbearing. Very nice, actually!
Subaruwtsfsjxodh here! Sorry, I miss the old intros lol. And this is my dream car!
That beautiful Las Vegas
I need this sooooo bad
That was such a beautiful hellcat
That yellow on black is something fucking serious
