Athleticalchemy said it best. You can have your privacy, that's your prerogative, but don't expect sympathy from us. If he said, "Hey, my dad is in the hospital, gimme some time" or "Hey, I'm going through a divorce, gimme some time" I think people would understand. But by not even giving a vague description of his reasons for being away, he leaves the door open for people to question his commitment to basketball and the team. Kyrie disappeared from Brooklyn for a while without explanation and everyone absolutely DID question his commitment, Wiggs isn't going to be treated any differently. He can make us forget he was gone if he plays well, but he's too inconsistent. As a Warriors fan, I'm painfully aware that we have no chance to win a single playoff series without the Two Way Wiggs of old. We desperately need him to show up. I hope he can get his head right soon, because it's clear there's something wrong, and it isn't physical.

I would say it is no one’s business, except…… he is playing in a high profile job relying on fan support to pay his “lottery winner” type salary and wants commercial advertising dollars on top of that. No problem with fans wanting to know what the issue is. It is OK to ask what is the reason. That said, there is nothing wrong with him wanting to keep it private. If you don’t like that…. Don’t buy his jersey, don’t buy tickets to his games or watch them on TV.

There's only 1 thing I've seen completely rip away all joy and happiness from a person until they end their entire career or worse and that is the loss of a child even an unborn child. I seriously do pray that this is not what happened with Andrew Wiggins. Because life is never the same after something that horrific but considering how long it has been since this took place It is something that must be considered because it's obvious there is no joy or happiness in that man right now And it's well over a year later maybe 2.

As a Raptors fan, we did just get some sad news about one of our players and he just took a leave of absence from the team. Our season is over, but I hope he doesn't let this emotionally destroy him for years to come. It's because they don't utilize Wiggins properly, especially in the low post when he has a mismatch. They should give him more isolation plays, not just use him as a screener to get their shooters open. I hope they give Wiggs more playing time so he can regain his confidence!

I believe it's the seemingly toxic behind the scenes GS environment that is wearing in AW. Plus, he was scapegoated by Kerr early in the season and taken out of the starting lineup when the issues were bigger than just AW. Plus, his best friend on the ream was Jordan Poole. I think a change of scenery will do wonders for his game... Toronto anyone?

I think this really goes into how much of a disconnection there is with mental health if he was hurt physically I think everyone would have a different tone I think players should be allowed personal games or time a week or a number of games at any point in the season where they can take time for themselves
He isn’t obligated to tell us fans what is going on and us fans are not obligated to be patient. Everyone in the NBA plays through personal issues and many of us regular folks work through tough times. The team pays him handsomely to be there, and he hasn’t been there much the last 2 seasons 💯

As a Warrior fan in Minnesota I feel that I can speak on Andrew Wiggins! In my opinion I don't think Andrew loves the game of basketball...I think he does it because he's good at it and it has made him a lot of money but he doesn't love it...If it was me I would have traded him for a big before the trading deadline but we know the Warriors are all about their players feelings...Just imagine how good the Warriors would be if every time Wiggins or Kuminga got the ball they attacked the basket...You always have the other team in foul trouble and our shooters would get a ton of open shots...but no we got Wimpy in his feelings...family crisis or not...
Plus wiggs gets paid a 9-figure contract.... It could have been ok if he was like a Mid-level exception or like 10 million a year. I think it’s more unusual to act like nothing’s happening than to confront the reality of the matter at hand. If they can maintain the motivation to keep this shrouded in secrecy they need to find the same motivation to do what’s best for the team and put Moody in the starting lineup. Personally, I’d send him home to handle his business until he can properly focus on his job. Inserting Moody back as a starter would help the younger core gain some much needed playoff game experience in preparation for a serious playoff run next season.
