The way teams feared and would game plan for Shaq was like nothing that had ever been done before. Teams would literally sign additional big men to use against Shaq because Shaq would get their bigs in foul trouble or because they would do the "Hack-a-Shaq".
They literally changed the rules to make the game more balanced because it was unfair how much Shaq was dominating. Widened the paint, allowed zone defense, 3 seconds in the lane rule, players began learning how to sell a flop because there was no other way to stop him offensively. I understand why Shaq is upset. He should have had more than 1 regular season MVP. Averaged 27 and 11 with 2.5 blocks for 11 straight years

That was super unprofessional for Shaq to literally lead with a strong disagreement. There are a million ways to professionally bring this up at the right point in the conversation, this was not that.
