I don't notice dirt getting on my back unless of course its wet then you're getting sprayed in the face from the front tire and when you slow down to about 10 mph it's the perfect speed for the water to go right on your ass. I wear a backpack when I ride, so it takes most of it, but even with just a shirt on I don't feel anything on my back on a dry day.
Finally someone did a decent job with the vt1100c.. Most of these guys on here keep those ugly stock risers. Its the simple things that make one hell of a difference!!!!
Depends on where you live. This bike was an excellent condition with 21,000 miles when I bought it for $2,250 in MN. The bike would have sold for somewhere around $3,000-$3,500 in socal, so I would say somewhere in between there.
I wanna do this to my bike just unsure on really the process of doing the rear I don’t have many fab tools or skills. Did you just remove the rear fender or did you also cut ?
I just removed it, but you need the solo seat kit at the same time because the original seat mounts are on the fender. Assuming your bike is the same as mine. Although I'm pretty sure most shadows are that way. The little "subframe" that holds the fender on just bolts on/off. Some bikes you'd have to cut them off which isn't hard at all. Buy a $30 harbor freight grinder and a face shield ha
Yeah it's about half white right now. Doesn't really bother me though. If you wanted to you could spray paint it with header paint and see if that works.
@@usMarinecuv902 I ended up wrapping mine with the white wrap from advance auto parts (it's DEi Design Engineering) and coating it with their black silicone spray. It's been holding up so far in the past 2 weeks. I want to replace it with the titanium stuff and find some clear spray, though.
The aces look nice stock with a few changes. The spirits need some help in the looks department, but they have the mag wheels and a 14% taller gear ratio so they're a good starting point for a build.
Nope, I don't know if they'll fit with the 12" bars and stock risers though. 10" bars with stock risers will fit, with the 12" bars I'm running 2" straight risers.

Well, you get wet haha. I'm going to make a little fender just so water doesn't get into the airbox, but it's not going to be big enough to protect me. I wear a backpack pretty much every time I ride.
No, I'm currently running a 45 idle jet, two needle shims, and a 185 main jet. It's still running rich on the top end.
