You make it look easy. Great explanations and camera angles. Thanks!
Thank you! The biggest hurdle to overcome is cutting the frame. Everything after that is easy mainly because you don't have a choice but to finish 😂
Lmao looks like a hack
Good job working on your gut!!! Keep it up buddy🎉
Thanks friend! Jan 2022 I was about 280lbs and got down to 205lbs by July 2022. Currently sitting around 230-235. I'm right about 6' and at 205 I had people say I was too skinny. If I can get back down to 220 or so I'll be happy.
Nice job👍looks much better👌
Excellent work my friend.
Thank you!
If you like the Mustang seat, just try the ultimate seat, a very different story, especially with the back rest, I could ride my aero for hours!
Anything over the stock seat in an improvement!
Stock, that bike has 6mm allen seat bolts. If you ever changed a rear tire, you'd know about the axle spacers.
Man I love your content on the honda shadow! It’s crazy because when I brought my honda shadow, I’m starting to realize that my shadow has been converted to a bobber 😅 I didn’t noticed it until I started watching your videos! Keep up the content bro.
Thanks man! As long as you didn't inherit anyone else's problems you saved yourself a ton of work if that is the look you were going for!
@@LuckyAcesRiding I honestly was just looking for a Honda Shadow 750. I did a good amount of research & I found your channel. When I bought It I didn’t have a single clue what the difference was at first but now I do lol. The bike is clean with zero issues (:
@@xxYFKxx Awesome! I know with used bikes sometimes you never know what you are getting yourself in to.
18:53 i wasnt expecting tht 😭😭😂😂 but good shit 😂
In its own stand alone video it got flagged as "not suitable for advertisers", go figure 😆
I’m a superbike guy but I gotta say, your build…it looks amazing my friend 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Thanks friend! Ride safe!
Need to get my build documented, got something very similar going. I did the solid struts in the rear though. Good looking bike!
I have a kit from Chopper Supply LLC which includes 8" over forks and new triples to rake the front an additional 14 degrees. Once that goes on I was thinking of giving hard struts a try.
Spring seats definitely look better. I switched to a spring seat on my '13 Sportster 1200 and love it. Bike came with a pretty stiff suspension and the springs added just the right amount of give to make it comfortable. I'll admit, a bit more cushion for longer rides would be nice, though. 😆
Spring seat for the looks but a lot of days I miss that mustang seat. I'm still debating hard struts but I ride this bike almost daily so I have not taken the plunge yet.
@@LuckyAcesRiding I've never tried riding a hardtail. At 45, I don't think I will. My spine couldn't take the abuse. lol
@@dimmasvaerd Yeah I really am on the fence about it
Awesome content, awesome commentary, awesome video! Both entertaining and informative. Final product is beautiful!
Thank you friend!
I love it, and I don't get when people say they want bigger bikes, 750 cc looks great to me for the city or around.
Wanting a bigger bike beyond a 750 is, in my opinion, more about chasing that "new rider thrill" than actually needing more power.
@@LuckyAcesRiding agree 100 %.
I chopped out an '84 VT700 including a 40 degree rack.
Cool mod. I have a 98 750 ACE, I'd have to use a slightly different wire management strategy as I have a chain drive and I don't think a wire zip tied to the chain would end well. lol
I mean it would briefly work 🤣 but yeah, the swing arm would probably be best.
You should try Black Chrome that would make I pop
Anything to get rid of the shiny stuff lol! Plans to black out the whole bike have unfortunately been put on hold.
I might try this
Just make sure you 100% want to because once the frame it cut there is no going back.
Making it what you want is part of the fun of having a bike. I'm trying to make my Spirit look more like an ACE... you wouldn't happen to want to sell your original rear fender and the associated chrome bits etc would you? I think I'll do an ACE rear end, leave my Spirit large front wheel in place- then do some passing lights- kind of a strange mix of ACE and Spirit.
Before I bobbed mine out I ran a Spirit front fender for a while. The large rear Aero fender just looked odd. Also I really don't want the hassle of trying to ship the rear and have no idea if it will even bolt up.
Great looking build, I am planning on doing something similar on my 05 shadow aero and this was a great visualization of what it could look like! That spring seat you used looks quite nice, could you tell me what seat it is, and do you find it comfortable?
The seat is from Blue Collar Bobbers. It is not as comfortable as the stock seat but for that style it is pretty decent. Trust me though, after about 2 hours I'm ready to get off and stretch my legs.
@@LuckyAcesRiding thanks! I plan to take longer rides so maybe this seat isn't for me.
@@isaiahandersen9269 If you plan on longer trips the Mustang Seat is what you are after. Pricy but 100% worth it!
Do you have a link for front turn signals? Nice bike 👍🏽
Got them here --> amzn.to/3RwGjAy
Nice one! Y
Do you have the link for the same rear fender kit?
Got it from bluecollarbobbers.com/
What size apes? I picked up some Amazon special ones in 10in but I have 1 inch risers. How far could I push these wires without getting extended ones
On your Spirit I'm not sure. On my Aero I went with 12" apes (wider ones) using the factory 2" risers and only had to replace the clutch cable. I know as far as the Aeros go 10" bars work fine with a little re-routing of the stock cables.
very informative. do you have a gas tac or some sort of reader for it?
I added a tachometer and voltmeter to the bike.
lol i forgot to add a part. do you have a tac or anything for reading your fuel level in your tank?
@@LuckyAcesRiding
@@coryarlof6368 No I just go based off the tripometer. Usually once I hit 100 miles I start looking for a gas station.
Did the blinkers come with the parts you used for connecting the wires
No, they were just the lights themselves.
curious as to why you crimped connectors vs just soldering them
Working with what I had at the time. Just wanted the project done.
@@LuckyAcesRiding Gotcha, especially if it was a hot day out!
@@dovid916 It was pretty hot and I did the rear fender right before that so we are talking a few hours. I keep telling myself I need to go back and re-do they but everything still works so I'm not too worried about it.
What struts did you end up putting on? And what lowering struts did you have?
I have not installed the struts yet. The original cheap set from Amazon did not fit but I have another set (also from Amazon) that look like they might work without drilling out the mounting holes.
Could anyone PLEASE help me find white walls like these for my 2007 Honda shadow 750 aero
They are Shinko 777, the front size you can find exact but the rear you have to go with a 170/80B15
Would it not of been cheeper to cut the old mudguard down to the shape you wanted?, nice turn out all the same
If I were to do it again I probably would have just done that and run the Mustang seat. I really like the small fender look though.
What is your handlebars set up?
12" ape hangers from J&P cycles, factory Honda risers.
Where did u get the kit? I have a 2006
The fenders and seat all came from BlueCollarBobbers. The signal lights, tail light, and license plate bracket all came from Amazon.
I'm a Harley Davidson guy
Regardless of manufacturer I hope you found the perfect bike for you! Ride safe!
What size bars?
They are 12" apes from J&P Cycles.
Cool, but why?
Because cool and I can't leave things well enough alone.
So you've taken a clean factory good looking bike and turned it into a bike that looks like it's been binned and put back on the road in a shed. Bravo
Learn to understand why they are made and then make assumptions.
And sir what did you do with your bike? Kept it boring and looking like every other basic bike on the road? Congrats!
I totally agree with this sentiment. There's a good looking and safe bike and then some bobber/cafe racer chad comes along and makes it ugly and les safe.
@@shearcullLearn to understand different tastes. I fully agree with Nigel.
@@natetaylor8203Oh yes, because every bobber and cafe racer looks oh so unique 😂 At the end of the day someone took a good looking and well designed bike and made it ugly.
That aint no bobber.. a real bobber has no rear suspension 😂 non the less nice work
They can have rear suspension. Bobbing originated as a customization style, not a model.
Future plans friend, future plans.
And at the end of the day its still a worthless Honda. Besides, how is this a chopper? A chopper is a bike put together with parts from other makes and models to make a complete rideable bike. This is just a stripped down honda with no other parts from any other motorcycle manufacture.
why did you watch it if it was worthless? make your own video
Certified hater, opinion invalid
.... worthless.......?
He sounds like a str8 hater
so, wich bike isn't worthless? 😂
Just needs a smaller tank and it will look perfect.
Man I am so on the fence about it, especially with the longer forks and rake kit on it now. I do love the stock 3.7 gallon capacity though!
