I am a quilter as my username describes. I made me a canning mat after I saw yours. I went to her channel and watched her tutorial. The stitch that she put inside each of the circles is called a stipple stitch. That is a lot of detail work. Mine isn’t that fancy. I’m glad she made you one as you are deserving for all your time spent teaching. That was very thoughtful and kind of her. Thank you for showing us the detail work and for giving her a shout out. I’m sure her channel will grow now.
That's a work of art. Don't know if I could actually use it while canning.

I checked her channel out yesterday after peeping comments and you linked hers. Wow she really does have an awesome channel(subscribed). I watched her make a canning mat and she made it look so easy, i can sew but not any where near her level then she free form quilted? the centers and i wanted to cry, that is way beyond my skill🤷🏼♀️ im glad you linked her though i have been searching on etsy and pinterest for the pattern and now i have one-ish. The detail she put into yours is dreamy

Love that! I'm in UK and had to import my Presto Canner, the import cost was more than the canner price. Jars and lids can only be purchased from one supplier and I've not yet managed to get a water bath canner. I use a giant stock pot for that. Love canning my own food and i also dehydrate allotment gluts. Waving hello to the UK canners x

I searched how to make a canning mat and her video came up. I showed my husband and he laughed, said I can make the basic but not the detail work. So I think I've talked him into making me one. I cant sew, that's his dept.

Have u heard of "pur" canning jars before. I went to Westlake ace hardware the other day and they had a lot of these on the shelf. Thought I'd ask you since you are so knowledgeable on canning. Nancy from nebraska
I have found them a few places especially in PA area. I have used the for pressure canning with no problems ( fingers crossed)
Jeni Gough on you tube did a review on them and loves them. She has great recipes…cans all the time.
