Burrows Cave Translations: The Elephants are Coming

Brian Nettles works translations on two more Burrows Cave stones. These stones depict elephants in America. The elephants may have been imported on the boats these people built.

Ok, this is random, but I am going to share it anyway. Have you seen Sir Peter Jackson’s, “The Hobbit”? In it one of the dwarves, Kili, has a stone, very similar to these stones. In short, he shares that it is a reminder of a promise that he made to his mother to return home. What if these stones were like talisman, that you could buy, or even ask to get made for you? It could explain where there are some for Christians and some for those who are not.
