  • Sohla and Ham are back! That’s right, it’s a brand new episode of Mystery Menu. Here’s how it works: We give them one hour and one surprise ingredient. They turn it into dinner and a dessert. Today’s secret ingredient is … bacon! What will they come up with? What does a bacon dessert look like? Watch to find out.

I love the one that Sohla does on Food52's channel where she makes a main dish and then shows you how to riff off of it and take the dish in another direction by changing key ingredients! It's called Off-Script with Sohla. I think it's an incredible idea because the best way to go from a good cook to a great cook is learning how to adapt base recipes using your own favorite flavors, methods, and ingredients.

I almost didn't watch this, because watching people cook a bunch of bacon seemed really boring to me, then I remembered the creativity and knowledge Sohla and Ham bring to the table, and it turned out pretty fun!
