      Same! I've had lots of bikes but I just picked up a Ninja 400 last weekend. I'm super excited about it.
      You need a variety of bikes. Not all bikes fill the same role.
      I'm looking for a ZRX1200 next!

      About the same for me. Been riding for years and have had many big street bikes. About 3 years ago i sold my last big bike, got a n400 and started doing some track days to actually learn technique and improve corner speed. Perfect bike for the task, and I'm glad i did it. I'll be getting something a bit faster soon, but i do wish to keep my n400.

    Definitely a good daily rider, I started with a 400cc when I first began but got bored not even a month in and upgraded to a Yamaha R6. Best decision ive ever made it's definitely more fun but of course comes with more risk. Stay safe out there

      I definitely got bored after around 6 months of owning the 400, I’ve got a triumph 765 now alongside this thing and honestly having the ability to swap between the two is so much better! I would like to ride an r6 at some-point honestly haven’t had any opportunity’s to ride any Yamahas at all yet

      For daily rider 400 great but I agree you want to play 600 perfect plenty of power and speed to really have fun 1000 to expensive and heavy for just a little more performance and most cannot fully push 600 99.5% never skilled enough to fully use liter bike and damn they expensive for what a tick quicker and a few mph faster? really on street I think 160 and 0-60 it has is more than enough for street

    I am far from a beginner and I have owned quite a few bikes and still own a few and I am also old, we are talking about over 20 years of riding experience.
    I am used to the over 150hp type of bikes.
    I got this bike because I wanted a simple light easy to flick machine and it has become my favorite to just cruise around.
    Now this bike is not the fastest or the quickest, but it can hang on with a crowd cruising around, but if you want something just a bit quicker and faster than this, you have a $300 option, it's called an ECU flash, this along with a new slip own exhaust makes this quite a thrill of ride around.

    I’m a new prospective motorcyclist and I’ve been eyeing the Kawa 400 for a while. I never went seen a motorcycle up close and personal before and that bike was HUGE. I’m 4’11 and I heard that’s a good bike for short ppl. That a bike for ppl at least 5’4+. That’s not short!

      @HeldIntegral Před 7 měsíci +1

      Tbh no bikes are THAT short, but as far as the n400 goes it does have a comparatively low seat to other sport bikes. Also has bar risers and a less agro footing.
      4'11 is pretty wild tho, be careful in the wind 🥜

  • @MattCantSpeakIt
    @MattCantSpeakIt Před 6 měsíci +2

    I LOVE mine. Here in Quebec, under 400cc is a different class of bikes, for which the plates are super cheap, and the insurance is super cheap. The bike itself, even brand new, was also cheap, and while this clearly doesn't have the power of a super bike... it actually doesn't change anything for 99% of your riding. The only difference it makes is how much you turn your throttle.. because for 99% of the time, you are NOT using more power from your R1s/GSXR1000/ZX10s/etc than a Ninja 400 has...
    Also, the way it's geared is so much more fun... A gsxr1000 will do what... 85-100 mph in FIRST gear? If you ride in the city, you gotta love that first gear cause you're likely never getting out of it XD. It's geared for the race track where you then get 6 useable gears, as compared to a bike like a 400 that would only stay between 3rd and 6th gear on a track. On a Ninja 400, you get to use at least your first 3 gears in the city, and you can even get into 6th gear on the highway without getting a felony...
    The position also matters. Being hunched over a supersport going 30mph is ridiculous. This position is designed for faster riding, where your upper body kinda floats on the upcoming stream of air, so you don't have to hold your body up so much... IF you ride like this at 30mph, you're gonna have to put a bunch of weight on your arms... the ninja 400 has a position much more suited for commute speeds.
    I mean... come on. IF you are buying a track toy, a superbike is cool (although I've heard the Ninja 400 is also impossibly fun on the track). But if you're buying a bike with which you'll be commuting... The ninja 400 is a LOT better.
