Thank you for this video. It was very helpful. I really want to get into riding, but my gf has a lot of fears and worries, understandably. Most people hear the word motorcycle and immediately think that you're going to plow into the side of a car at 150 or vice versa. This video really helped me to realize that i just need to stick with it, and it'll be worth it

Opening these bikes up makes it a whole different machine, I have a 24 street triple as well and did the delkevik catless headers for the 2022 model and paired it with a Toce razor tip exhaust that was also for the 2022. Was going back and forth between the Racefit and the Toce but leaned towards Toce mainly for the looks. Def gotta ride with earplugs but she sounds like an Indy car when you get on it.

How did the windshield affect the wind on your helmet, if at all? Is it quieter than without?

CF Moto is doing a few things that are absolutely necessary. And number one is selling through dealerships. In my area CF Moto bikes are on the floor next to all Japanese, Austrian and Italian brands. You buy and get service and support from the same place. The small dual sport is going to be a mixed bag for sure in my area, has built in design flaws.. average freeway speed in Western United States is 75+mph, in my area it's @82-86 mph and I often need to get out of left lane to let faster traffic pass and I am on a 1200cc at @85 mph. So everything that the CF 450 does right off road, it is reported to do wrong on the street. Brakes are good, suspension, has decent electronics and tubeless wheels, but from all early reviews can't get out of it's own way on the highway..

The more competition the better for the consumer. That's always how it works.

This wasn't anything to do with communications, or knowing the area, if a rider is riding on the assumption someone will warn him of every hazard, then he's a dead man, sounds like you need new friends who can actually ride, oh and your friend needs a stay in hospital!!!! My take on the issues you've brought up. I have the RS. No brake squealing. I'm almost 5'5" tall with a short inseam. I can't flat foot it, but I have no problem managing it. I can flat foot my HD, but the HD is more difficult to single leg/foot down. I haven't had a passenger yet, but I regard to body position on the handlebars, it takes a little time to get used to the seating position. Your body adapts, and then it feels fine. We'll see how it feels when I have a passenger.

Thx man. Great review. Glad you like it and hope i would like it too :) For the differences between R and RS, i found this: colors, hp, better brembo brakes model (stylema i think), brembo master cylinders, different suspension, different dash. I think it's nice amount of upgrades for the price.

Awesome video! I looked into them and they're similarly priced to some of the bikes i was looking at lately too. Some things came up in my life and i wont be able to get a bike right away, but i do still plan to take the permit test and harley course if time permits me. It's interesting how tall it is, the suspension must make riding feel really smooth too.

thank you for this vid, really helped me get an idea. I was actually planning to get a ninja 400 but when i heard it was discontinued and getting replaced by the 500 i was quite devastated. Considering all the aspects of the ninja 500 it just didn't really sit right with me that they are calling it a 500 with only 451cc and not any different from the 400. Prices for a krt edition which is actually not so different than the much cheaper 450ss surprised me cuz it just seemed like now that the 400 is gone the cfmoto might become the first pick for me. I'm also half chinese lmao, so getting the chinese brand sits better with me

I have a '22 RS in silver and its an absolute weapon. The '24 R is a SCREAMING deal for what you get at that price, i only went with the '22 because of massive price discounts for being last years model.

It's a beginner bike. Cheaper is always better. ABS is also standard on the cfmoto. But if it was up to me, buy a used bike.

It’s funny how we favour left or right turns! I can’t remember what mine is but it was noticeable!

So.. havent watched the vid yet but.. when going round a bend to your left push your left arm forward. And lean slightly left. You dont turn the same way you are wanting to lean. Same for opposite push right arm to have a good lean to the right

Hard to say without being there but looking at your hands in the video, your left hand is choked up on the bar vs your right hand is on the end. It's not much but that small bit might contribute. You can also try a screwdriver/ice cream cone grip (plenty of examples on youtube) to give your elbow the flexing angle it needs to move to the inside of the turn. Look up here on youtube 2 vids by YCRS: "Champ U: R=MPH" and "Champ U: Body Position". Those 2 videos are from their online course that isn't free but is one of the best investments you can make if you plan on trying to improve as a rider. Keep up the good work!

One of the things that helped me was finding a neighborhood with traffic circles. That and doing low-speed figure 8s in a large parking lot.
