It's good that our club is getting more exposure since he took over, i have been an Ajax fan since 2001, and i will say that in my 22 years of becoming a fan, Ten Hag is probably the best coach we have had in the past 2 decade, he literally resurrect Ajax in Europe and let the world felt our presence again.
It's really sad that he's leaving for Man Utd ( as expected sooner or later he would leave us ) as we have been a farmer for the other big clubs, but still it was an unbelievable 4 years of beautiful memories

If you guys noticed, Ziyech was involved in almost every attack, he was crazy valuable for Ajax, more than anyone at Ajax the last 20 years. Sad to see him play at Chelsea that doesn't know how to use him. He'd fit perfectly with Barcelona, he could become a hero there.

So true! No one will expect them to get to the final cause Ajax hasn't been in the CL for a long time. But Ajax is back and with ten Hag as our manager we play really good football. Back in 2018/19 season I said to y friends: this Ajax could really win it. Everyone laughed at me but my oh my did we had a wonderful season. In the end we didn't win it sadly enough but I'm gonna say it again: this Ajax could really win it!

This style of football is similar to what Rangnick has implemented at Man Utd. The only difference is that Ajax are more efficient and take their chances unlike Man U who waste clear cut chances. We need Ten Haag next season so he can make us ruthless but most especially to get the best out of VDB again.

Rangnick is not a great manager but he is a fantastic coach and technical organiser. Ten Hag is a great manager and there may already be a frame work there for him to work with as the players may have already been getting that sort of coaching.

This is not actually tikitaka but very close. This is called combination football. Dutch players are molded into this playstyle.
Tikitaka - ball possession. Ball is moved up field by using the whole team, rapid passing and slowly moving up with majority of the team.
Combination football - ball possession too. P1 pass to P2 and then make a run. P2 pass to P3 who delivers to P1 who took new position further up field. = Combination football. Few can do it, if others just take runs without the ball.

I still can't believe this was Ten haag's Ajax compared to the Man utd he is currently managing. I think Man utd players just have certain moods and attitudes to play Ten haags tactics according to their comfort, the mentality should change.
The players have the combined brain of Cruyff and Guardiola pumping them, as E.T.H was their student.

Im from the Netherlands, I follow ajax for years! Ajax produces young talents every year and sell them to big clubs. This playing style of Ajax is very much Because of Ajax academy & johan football. This is not like ten hag completely transformed. If you ask any ajax fans, ten hag is not a special guy. This is all due to Ajax system. That’s how they get trained & play for future.

Teams like this are made for players like Sancho and VDB. I thought Ole would be wise and build a second team with an alternative style around Sancho, VDB, Mata and Lingard playing like this. When that core is built, then you can plug in players like Bruno, CR7 and Cavani to give the team better end product. We would have had us 2 teams that play differently to confuse opponents with. Instead we are struggling with small teams, playing disjointedly and relying on individual brilliance and luck.

Ten Haag should improve the side's display in turnovers, and hope to finish in one of the playoff positions, so that the club has something to play in the post season. Anything other than that would be a failure. Besides, the board should be able to secure some good trades in the off season in order to bolster the squad.
Just look at how Van Debeek was thriving in this system
VDB trived under that system because he was used in the centre of midfield to build play. At Utd they have been using him as a support striker which is a completely different position.
Tiki Taka is Ajax's way of playing football, I even think Ajax under P.Bozs were more attacking than the current one

Indeed it was but it also was way more suicidal; but thats Bosz his style. Of course I wished we won the final against Man U, but sadly our players were to nervous. Im forever grateful to both Bosz & Ten Hag for giving Ajax its international shine back, and for my daughter to experience a succesful European Ajax since didnt witness the 90ties. To that extent I feel truly feel blessed I was there in 1995.

This guy would fail so bad at United. Not because he is a bad coach but because our players cant string five good, accurate, appropriately weighted passes together, never mind passing it up across the length of the field.
They players cannot string those passes together because they simply do not have the coaches to allow them to do it.
Players like Pogba and Varane are some of the most technical players in the world but they are in a team right now that does not know how to do it.
