In this Outer Worlds video, we take you through what we found to be the BEST Outer Worlds Build, meaning that you can pass all the checks (hacking, persuade, etc.) that you need, get the best outcomes for factions/quests, have the best, buffed up gear and weapons, as well as companions that you command, that will blitz their way through combat.

The Outer Worlds is a first-person action role-playing game set in a world where megacorporations have started colonizing and terraforming planets far from Earth. The game takes place in the Halcyon system, where the player awakes from cryosleep, soon discovering that most of the passengers on their ship are still in hibernation. With a strong focus on roleplaying, the player is able to make choices that cause the plot to change as they progress through the game. The Outer Worlds features well-written dialogue and lore, with the various factions, planets, characters and their interactions bringing the world to life. The Outer Worlds is developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Take-Two Interactive's publishing label: Private Division.

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite build in the Outer Worlds.
In nigthmare you will have problems with this build and you will use elli more because off the heal bonus
This breaks my heart
Nice🤣
You know what's really kind of sad/funny outer worlds is what I was expecting Mass Effect to be.
We'll bang, OK?
Here's a written summary starting from after character creation
Skills
Levels 2 & 3
Tech & Dialog to 22 first
Leadership until 50 then Inspiration 60
By level 7
22 base in Dialog, Stealth & Tech
50 Determination
60 Inspiration
Then get Dialog, Tech, Stealth to 50, priority to Dialog & Stealth (for persuade, hacking, & lock picking)
Then start bringing Dialog, Tech & Stealth to 60 to get effective levels to 100
No need to invest in combat skills
Persuade usually covers most speech checks, if not, Intimidate 95 or Lie 65 usually does the job
No need to invest further in these skills especially with later game gear which will boost dialog skills further
Consider investing in Science to reduce tinkering costs
Consider Determination 60 to get effective value of 70-80
Perks
Top priorities:
Tier 1: Deadly Demonstrations
Tier 3: Armor master (first perk you should get at level 22 or earlier if you’ve taken flaws)
Other priorities:
Companion based perks: Precision, Tag team
For convenience:
Walk & sprit speed
Carry weight
Time dilation
Vendor price
Don’t Go Dyin’ on Me! (Can use inhaler to revive companion during battle (15 min cool down))
Flaws
Only consider Drug Addiction (easy to fix with Adreno, inhaler) and phobia flaws of less common creatures like primals
Armor
Gear that boosts skills needed at the time (light or medium armors)
Early game: Protecting clothing with safety harness (+5 Dialog) modded with Silver Tongue (+5 Dialog, +10 leadership)
A Nice Hat (find in OSI Church in Stella Bay Ruins) (+5 leadership, +7 Persuade)
Late game: Camara (sp?) (+10 dialog, damage 53) (quest in Bizantium (sp?)
Weapons
Long guns, rifles
Dead Eye Assault Rifle, modded for plasma damage
Give new and legendary weapons to companions
Companions
Parvati
Armor: Legendary Iconoclast Gear (faction mission line)
Perks: Skill bonus (Engineering), Base health +30%, Range to damage +10%, Companion ability damage +30%, one perk to revive themself (Second Wind?)
Vicker Max
Armor: Legendary MSI Gear (faction mission line)
Perks: Skill bonus (Hacking), Base health +30%, Range to damage +10%, Companion ability damage +30%, one perk to revive themself (Second Wind?)
Both:
Weapons: Heavy: Standard or legendary version of light of heavy machine guns
Fight style: ranged only
Thank you :)
Thanks so much. Fudge needs to pin this.
big help, thanks!
where can I donate to you
Thanks :) this needs a pin!!
I walked into town and killed everything I saw, except the grave digger. He’s got a lot of work to do
Chaotic Evil
Silas: they are so going to dock my pay when I tell them I'm the only one left to pay
@@alexbutler7269 so many closest relatives.
You... I like you.
All started when the gravedigger wanted me to handle his debts. Everyone I talk to was insane. There’s this one guy who wanted me to deal with some kind of Mythical robot uprising but he was clearly in sane so I killed him when I went into town the barber wouldn’t pay me and well naturally it ended and violence. The third guy had the plague so naturally he had to go. And the fourth girl in the factory What is the only one I initially spared simply because they were too many guards at the time but that quickly changed.
Naturally you’ll need the atronach then??
No, lord stone
This wins so much 😂👏🏻👏🏻
Lol wonder what's the new work horse/s of FudgeMuppet gonna be in this game lol.
No the Lord stone are you new. :P
Also love you fudge couldnt wait foru your build for this game.
Drop intelligence to Below Average. Because this is the future, and Captain Zapp Brannigan is reporting for duty.
Would It be President Build?
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I feel bad for your companions.
@ZergrushEddie hey, don’t make fun of his sexlexia
Captain Zap Brannigan reporting for snu-snu!
I can't get the light on my pip boy to work
😂
Have you tried turning it on and off
Me neither, was wondering if I was the only one
Wait there’s a pip boy in dis game? Kapp
Its not the best choice, its the spacer's choice.
I'm glad to see you're making builds for this game. I've been playing almost non stop and almost ready to start my second character. Thanks for giving me an idea on what to make next.
I'm so glad to see yall are doing builds on this. So stoked to see what you come up with.
This build is working beautifully for me on my first playthrough! Thank you so much, great build!
What you all outlined here is sort of how I ended up playing my first run. I called my character the exasperated mediator. I didn't invest in leadership as much as you all did, opting for guns. By the end, her ethos was, "You idiots WILL get along and fix this colony or by god, I will start shooting everyone with my tricked out sniper rifle until you change your minds."
I tended to use Ellie and Parvati as my default companions. Yeah, I know there were better options instead of Ellie from a min-max skill up perspective, but I liked running around with a hardened cynic and a naive optimist to keep my character centered.
This 👆👆👆👆👆👆
Me too sis. Ellie makes me laugh and Parvati makes me shit rainbows. Love ma gurls
Imagine companions in Skyrim getting kill cams. That would've been amazing.
Awe yeah, been waiting for you guys to start making these for The Outer Worlds! Can’t wait to see what else you come up with!
I've been looking forward to seeing your Outer Worlds builds. It's a great game with a lot of potential for a variety of builds. Looking forward to more in the future.
Great build! Not sure I'm a fan of having my companions fight my battles for me, but if one is mainly interested in the story and roleplaying, I can see this as a worthwhile build. If I were going to min-max this build, I would have Nyoka and Vicar Max as my companions. Give Nyoka a good machine gun with good mods, and give Vicar Max a science weapon such as the Shrink Ray.
Here we go. I was waiting for your builds.
Yess so glad to see you guys making builds for this game
Man digs. I'll be picking this up tomorrow.
Always excited about the new builds! Thanks guys!
Omg yes I have needed more fudgy builds in my life
Kickass guide fudgemuppet! Subbed and looking forward to all content. Love your tone, and overall flow. Keep up the great work!
Found your channel as I just started playing this game. This is a really fun build to play with so far! Can’t wait for the others for my next playthrough 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I knew I could count on Fudge Muppet for Outer Worlds Builds. Thanks!
Literally got the game today and was looking to make a build like this. Gonna do some things different but great explanation of how the skills/ attributes work. Was a bit daunting
As always, your guides rock! Your first guide for this game suits my usual completionist playstyle perfectly....I just wish that I didn't have to wait an entire year to play this on Steam!
I always look for that kind of builds!
Great upload thanks
Look at me.
I am the captain now.
I’ve loved your Skyrim and fallout builds can’t wait to start trying your outer worlds build thanks guys
Any chance you guys could put the skills info in graphics like you did with your Fallout and Skyrim builds? Much easier go Screenshot and look back on instead of having to remember everything said in the video
I'm excited for the first of the builds from fudge Muppet.
Thanks for doing a great job as always. More please.
I would love to see a: Gunslinger build, a space pirate, and a bounty hunter build in the future
Gunslinger build next? Oh, HELL YES!
Here's hoping it's a lone gunman build to counteract this heavy companion build. Sheriff build?
@@MrFatalisDev I was thinking a smooth talker, or rogue/mercenary character who wields a badass revolver or something cool.
Big iron?
@@didacticpixeltv3349 on his hip?
The Third Crusader perhaps
Crazy build! Love it Only down side is making sure you loot everything because companions murder stuff so quick you can miss some!
Great share, thank you, saved me so much time!
only started this games this last week, had a not so fun start till i got this vid... now im having the time of my life
thank you for this vid ad keeping this vid for us late gamers that waits for the games to come on spesial haha
This just came out and I already want more!
YES! We're now getting Fudgemuppet Build goodness!!! Your Fallout and Skyrim builds are awesome. I'm hoping we get a Malcolm Reynolds build soon.
I did this same build with 100 inspiration and Determination on Supernova it worked great. I used only science weapons with 100 science with Paravti and Vicar it was actually pretty easy.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Farsighted is a worthwhile flaw if you're setting your companions to Ranged Only, absolutely no downside. Great guide!
Great vid thnx for the ideas. Still on first play through but will put more points into leadership etc on your suggestion. ty
Interesting idea. I'm starting a new character today with this build.
Loving the game so far keep up the good content guys I'm doing a lone gun slinger playthhough my self
Can't imagine playing without these companions! They're so awesome
Ellie is hilarious
@@ThomasMilne And Parvati is so awesome and sweet! The VA of Chloe in Life is Strange and Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn does Parvati. Love her work.
Felix is the funniest
I played the first planet with only on companion because I thought I can only have one at a time so I didn’t take the preacher till the end dang
Just got this game. I've made a few characters because i'm learning i'm building them wrong. It's very different building characters in this game compared to many of the games i'm used to. I actually really enjoy the change; challenging. But this video gives me a way better idea of how to build. Thank you for the tips!
I want evil builds ASAP so looking forward to you guys pumping these builds out
Nice. I am going to try the captain for my second playthrough which I hope to start today.
This is literally my build for supernova difficulty with the same attributes except specialized for sneaking melee and range weapons with companions it’s awesome
Same, I basically accidentallied into this build on Supernova, though leaning heavier on science to Tinker gear.
@@srbingham it makes me a little sad tbh, this seems to be the only "build" that really exists. Its like the game is balanced in such a way that makes this the best/easiest way to play
I have been trying out the OuterWolrds Captian build and I have found a nice little science Item that complements it very well The item is called the Mind Control ray it is located in the Cascadia area of the map In Rizzo's Secret lab off to the left you have to do a little platform hopping to get the item at the top enjoy and thank you again for your videos
I would love if someone had a written down version, instead of watching this whole video
Love the build and video. New sub!
One of the great kahns from new Vegas's descendants coming to space making a new band of great kahns would be badass
Ave, True to Caesar
Great vid, very helpful. Thanks.
Cant wait for a Board Corporate Account build! Love the builds and cant wait try all!
another cracking vid boys, props to you. just curious will you be doing another season of fallout: redemption, i listened to them through once again the other day and i'd forgotten how good they are.
I was going to play a lone wolf character but the companions are so fun
Is it fun? Idk just watching them kill people? I already started this build, barely into it, but im thinking i should have gone with something that has me killing more
+
Great video. This is very close to the build I used to finished the game on release. I personally went with Vic and Felix /// Felix and Nyoka /// or Vic and Nyoka for my companions with the unique tact shotgun on Vic and my highest DPS LMGs for the other two. I took all the comp ability reset perk on my character and my companions. As for as my weapon, I thought the best weapons were the Science weapons. All 3 ranged Science weapons were absolutely amazing and made my team an amazing squad. If you hold down the 5th science weapon on an enemy, you can basically perma CC the enemy while your team goes to town. The amazing dialogue and having access to everything quality of life while your companions earn their keep was an amazing fun way to play.
Would love to see you fellas do a heavy armour/heavy weapons build!
I'm Currently Doing a Heavy Armour/Heavy Weapons Build
Is there any way the instructions could be in a list or description bc that really helps with screenshotting for later use
This is so good. Do you have a written version of this build? Like you did for fallout?
Bit late to this game and build video but still wanted to say, that I’m really enjoying playing the game with this build.
Will you be doing builds for the different factions in the game? I’d love to see a Monarch or space pirate build!
You know, this was my build and I loved it. I started out wanting a stealth/speech character, but respeced my character and ended up with this. Only difference was I went with handguns
Marcus Jones handguns over what?
this is where the fun begins
Rev OBI WAN BUILD CONFIRMED
@@deathrangerrk9359 hehe that would be cool with the plasma blade thingy
The way it seams they built this game is to allow the casual market to be able to make this style of character were they don't feel like they're missing out bcos they invested into certain areas.
Role players tho are going to have to learn to speck in a way solely for the build they want to role play
but the best thing is you can actually roleplay! I CAN KILL ANYONE I WANT!
Very interesting. I only just started, so quite tempted to start over with this info. I should probably just play my own character for a bit though, I feel if I follow this I'll just steam roll it. (well even more so, ha ha. I was going for guns, stealth and talking stuff though. I will invest into leadership as well if I can though for my companions)
ah, yes. the first of many 😌
Not really, the potential builds in this game is very narrow.
@@somedogsarecops2354 how?
@@somedogsarecops2354 yes how?
@Some Dogs Are Cops yes indeed how?
@@somedogsarecops2354 yes how is the potential for builds in a sci-fi RPG with class and attribute choices make the options of builds limited?
"The build for the person who wants the best outcomes where everyone comes out holding hands"
Oh so not the build for me at all haha
[Last_Stand] same I have two playthrough right now one of them is a smooth talking bounty hunter and the other is an idiot brute I’m also going to make a sociopathic diplomat.
My initial playthrough is a very perceptive rifleman who became a colonist to get away but is learning to be more social. Not looking back or even glancing at guides!
I'm doing a run through being Welles evil sister who loves the board
@@deathrangerrk9359 in these kind of games my first playthrough is always "The gamer". A character who thinks he is in a video game, he is douche whos every choice is for self gain. He would kill his own mother for gold , because he thinks everything is fake.
Luke oh yeah my first play through took a turn he’s stilll a bounty hunter but and still smooth talking but now he’s a sociopath who kills not only for the money but also for the fun of it and he’s probably going to betray everyone
Awesome, good to know
this is great.. pretty busy these days, didn't want to do multiple playthroughs.. this should help me feel like im missing less of the game.
*"Cosmic Pirate"* Build next?
Wow now. Let me stop your right there, so I can like the first of many amazing videos to come. Now after liking the video I'm garn leave cause theres no way I'm spoiling a single thing for myself. I'll be back after I finish the game. Cheers and have a good one.
Lmao fudge muppet 🤣😂 love the name cheers for the build I was just lost with what to choose
I found one of the perfect support weapon the Gloop gun for this build.
For those curious... this build rocks supernova, just gotta be cognisant of where you place your followers before a fight. Place them behind cover where they cover each other and draw enemies in. And, of course, keep them well equipped... though that should go without saying.
I just got the game and was playing a sneak/dialogue character. It was fun messing with the npcs, but now that im getting companions i want an army.
The companion bonuses were so high I didn't even bring lockpick past 30 and still easily got it past 100 with pavarti and Felix. Science I ended up maxing first. Totally worth it. Shrink Ray was a funny support weapon early game.
I'm doing an intimidating, sneaky, strictly one handed melee build. The intimidation options are great
Did the same thing with the creation, but since i noticed there is a 2 handed science hammer that melee power attack does area damage and is really overpowered with putting points into science, which also makes you not need to put points into ranged, defense or leadership but into important stuff and you only need to put melee up to 20 to use the power attack, so you can focus far more points into dialog, stealth and tech. Basically get perks helpful with science and then get the ones you want, same companions, for skill buffs plus max has science damage bonus, definitely would suggest giving that a go.
looking forward to the alex hawthorne/imposter build
yaaaasss builds from Fudgemuppet yaaaaaaas i love ur builds ppl
Ahh... A fresh, new RPG and that old familiar feeling. What could be better? 😊
"The Scientist " for your next build !
No “The MAD Scientist”
@@jrose4731 Rick
@@MrCrazywowguy Rick Sanchez Vs Phineas Welles
That was their first fallout 4 build
Prismatic hammer, one handed sword, goop gun, shrink ray, mind control gun. What else is there
This is still a solid build but I would like to see a new video given the new level cap and expansions
This build during combat: asthma attack
Lol, pretty much.
Need... To... Shoot... Things... Can't... Breathe! ... Must... Use... Flamethrower... Indoors...!
Thanks for the guide.
FYI I ended up doing this build but dumping points into science and using Vicar Max bonus. Then ran the primordial hammer, sort of a hybrid if this and your paladin build. It's actually busted and has the perks of being able to meet all skill checks whilst still leading the charge in battle instead of sitting back
I just got the game for the fist time and am getting ready to start a playthrough. Would you recommend any different starting stat selections for your hybrid build?
@@alexvanderpool88 I can't recall the stats off top of my head but it's basically just a mix of The Captain and a lot of science do that science weapons do a lot of damage.
Another thing is speech skills affect combat so you will be fine with your own damage as well
You can still be a combat powerhouse with this build. With your Science skill that high, the Science weapons will annihilate everything. The mind control ray was my go to weapon with my science character, and the damage on the hammer is nuts.
I would only add electric based damage to one companion and plasma to the other so that no matter what enemy type you run into one of them is buffed towards it. You could carry corrosive yourself.
This looks like a great build. I'd like to take a more Machiavellian approach where I am more in it for myself and what is in my best interests but effectively using people with leadership skills to get what I want. My character would not have great combat skills, use others to fight much like this character.
This is super close to what i have been doing in supernova. I'm level 11 and just took down a queen mantid. You really need to watch your companions and where they are standing as well as maximizing the enemy vulnerabilities by cycling through your time dialation + companion abilities. That's the major difference. The companion skills MATTER in supernova with a build like this.
The good old days no weird explanation of a old ass glitchy game like elder scrolls I hope there is more of these
if your going science, id recommend going science weapon route the shrink ray debuffs enemies making it easier for your companions can finish them off quickly with higher science and 50% science effectiveness from perks on both effects makes it even more devastating
This game reminds me a lot of futurama
Unitronix wet wolf was directly influenced by firefly and futurama
I thought the same thing when I first got the game. Every playthrough I have named my character Phillip J Fry or Phillip J Fry Jr. (his nephew).
For combat I found maxing out handguns to be a really good strat and it felt really good using them(on difficulty above normal ,cant remember the name :P) . Also the atack animation and speed are really satisfying with the non-auto handguns . Mysterious stranger build-legit fuckin good.
Amazing
My build right now is a sniper build and using the dead eye, I can trigger TTD and kill 4-5 bad guys with head shots before my TTD runs out. My companions usually just clean up whatever is left.
Kind of accidentally made this build on my main playthrough lol. The attributes are the same, but I re-speced my points to follow this build after I saw the video and realized I didn't have to min-max as much.
I started with high speech and lockpicking and hacking and I put all my extra points in science and used a weird splash dmg energy rifle and it kinda made everything disappear
Gonna make this guy for my first run but gonna have heavy weapons instead of range.
12:45 I think you meant to say "All for one" I couldn't find a "deadly demonstrations"
