- This is a review of the Lumagen Radiance Pro 5348. In this video, we look at the benefits of the Radiance Pro 5348 from Lumagen, both as a standalone unit and as compared directly to the Radiance Pro 4442 in the arenas for audio and video. The sole technical difference between the 4-series and 5-series is the audio circuitry which drastically reduces jitter. How does this translate to performance deltas (if any) between the two series? Watch to find out.
This video does not address the “how to” topics, as I have already released several instructional CZcams videos (linked below) on Lumagen Products over the last 9 years.
Full Disclosure: I AM A LUMAGEN DEALER ( www.BlairHPS.com ). As such, I will be selling the Radiance Pro 4442 used in this CZcams video at a deeply discounted rate, and I will configure the unit for Dynamic Tone Mapping, NLS (if needed), and any other desired settings. Email me at: matt@brolicmedia.com for more information.

Been waiting for this one. Thanks brother. Keep up the amazing work. I love my 5348 🔥🔥
Much appreciated, brother. You chose your video processor well!
This is excellent! Thank you for explaining things so well. Love it!!!
You are very, very welcome! Thank you for the very kinds words!!!
Great explainations!
Are we going to just pretend like my man doesn't have the deepest smoothest voice?!!?! I mean the content is always on point but I would listen to him read the ABC's. Anybody watching this video already knows that Lumagen is endgame. Would love for you to review an Envy Extreme from MadVr.
HAhahaha.....my voice changed when I was 10 years old, and I haven't looked back since! lol. Man, I'd love to review an Envy too, but I don't believe they are doing review samples. If they start, I'd request one immediately!
Love your content bro. Been here since your klipsch days. Does your Triads n Seatons with insulation give u that imax sound or better?
Mannnnnn, I miss those klipsch speakers sometimes just because of the memories I have tied to them. Thanks for hanging with me so long...especially over the last few years wherein fatherhood slowed down my content production drastically. Picking it back up now, though! To answer your question: these Triad Platinums and Seaton F18's give me the best audio experience I've ever had in my life, anywhere--commercial or private! Thanks again for sticking with me and my channel!
Glad this one got up, thanks Matt!! BTW, I'm definitely subscribed to your channel, but it didn't pop up for me. Weird...
Thanks for sharing, Matt!
Would be awesome to see a comparison of this with the MadVR model.
A question, and maybe I missed it (or misunderstood) in the video:
- You spent time discussing the audio benefits. Is this something new with Lumagen? Is part of the 5 series spent directly processing the audio?? I'm trying to understand why I would want my video processor assisting my immersive audio processor in this process.
Thanks again, buddy!
Hey Joey, that's a great question! Yes, the 5348 is a BRAND NEW Radiance Pro model from Lumagen. They've designed the audio-circuitry from the ground-up to eliminate a ton of jitter....the result is an audible difference in the presentation. Some differences are very noticeable some are moderately noticeable. This is the unit to get for those who want the absolute best. A benefit of the new circuitry is that video performance is slightly improved as well. Several people have messaged me privately guessing which one was the 5348 based on the top/bottom comparison at the end, and everyone has guessed correctly so far. So, TLDR: It improves the signals received from the source (i.e. better than going directly from source to AV processor) and gets yours AV processor that improved signal thanks to better circuitry.
I upgraded to the 5348 from the 4242 and there is an improvement to audio and video. It’s not major, but it’s there.
Do you have JVC theater optimizer on or off when using Lumagen? If it is on which mode is selected, high /medium?
The Optimizer is compleeeetely off!!! The Lumagen takes care of everything. ☺️
Hi bro 3548 lumagen is the work with Epson 5050 Ub projecter & how much is cost
Seeing that everything you have is top shelf what do you think of the MadVR Envy Extreme? And I have to say your production value is top notch and worth making a bucket of popcorn by itself!
Hey there, the Envy does great things as well, but I personally believe it's the best video processor in the industry.
@@BrolicBeast I haven’t seen one in action but I be curious if the double the price of a Lumagen shows up in the picture. I know you have the new Lumagen or had it. Lol
Hey man
I have the Lumagen and the Sony 5000. Do you see any benefit adding an hdfury in the chain do Dolby signal that’s transferred to an HDR signal? Thinking mainly for streaming content
Absolutely no benefit to adding the HD Fury for that purpose! The Lumagen's DTM is world class, man. As is the CMS.
@@BrolicBeast Thanks
I think the top one is the 5348!
Ahh one of those "if you have to ask how much it costs, you can't afford it." things.
Nope, not at all! I mean, it's def not cheap...but it's one of things that requires an intense savings plan. For me at least.
@@BrolicBeast I can not find a price nor a sale, this is "go to the dealer and they will let you know after you buy" kind of thing.
