Is the Picture Quality improvements really worth $12k ? ( Its a hard sell at $2k let alone $12k ), To make matters even worse. Compare the JVC tone mapping vs the MadVR and the difference is much less.
could tell a big difference on the brighter scenes, but hard to see on the darker ones, at least from the video. I'm sure in person it's a bigger difference.
Can you make another demo with a good TV like the Samsung S95B Oled or LG G2/C2 Oled or Sony A95K Oled on Cinema mode after professional calibration? I get that with projectors it makes a big difference but all the TV demos I've seen with madVR Envy people use cheap TVs!
Any projection system? Does that include the Oculus Quest II? Will it look EXTRA MadVR when hooked up to a VR headset? Or will the double VR madness cancel each other out, resulting in a complete detachment from reality phenomenon manifestation? Cause that would be MAD cool still! (The last question isn't a real question. Just me being an idiot.)
People tha think Panasonic HDR Optimizer is even remotely close to what MADVR can do (Envy or HTPC), just have not really seeing them side by side. I had the UB9000 as I tried to move to the smaller setup of a Panasonic vs my HTPC but it was not even in the same universe of performance.
This is quite high on my wish list. I think I’d get a whole lot more benefits from a MadVr than with a Kalaeidascape who’s I’m gonna bump down on my wishlist now. Hehehe
Silly question? But who would run a system with no tone mapping on? Wouldn't it be better to show a UB9000 player with it's tone map features before showing a $10k separate HTPC system? Or am I missing something? Sorry if it silly. Just want to learn about this system from the community
People who fanboy Lumagen will tell you that Lumagen is about the same. It is not. LUMAGEN is not plug and play. Anyone can use MadVR Envy. Lumagen requires a professional to install and properly calibrate. The MadVR Envy HDR tone mapping has no equal. Also the MadVR auto aspect ratio switching and stretching is a feature Lumagen is not close.
Way too expensive for what you get. My image on my JVC NX7 is fantastic without anything else in the chain. I use JVC auto cal and have not looked back. The image I am getting without a madvr is fantastic.
I can turn R/G/B saturation up manually.. So... yeah. Dafuq is this lol? Everyone is talking about it being pricey. Makes me want to guess this is like $500 for "tone mapping".
For that price, I will be okay to loose some details. If you don’t know what’s there then you are not missing. 😂😂
i dig the same though,

Great video that really affects how much better the image looks with MadVR, but it is pricey.

Incredible, what difference exists when using an htpc with a 3080 nvidia,?
I like said ppl will be building there own at half the price
When madVR is used with a projector, can the madVR be triggered to power on and off automatically with the projector or AVR?

Wow what a difference.

No, I think you're right
Agree.....
So tone mapping off is HDR and on is SDR w/madvr? Can madvr work and keep 10 bit color depth?
seems like it ...
If you don’t have it you don’t miss it
How does it compare to a lumagen?

I just could imagine the price tag. Most likely the price of a used car. It's only a matter of time when ppl will built one for half the price.
it's 15k.
@@mojojojo_BB Dealers sell for about $12K. Still not for the average Joe🤣😅. But it is an amazing video processor.
If one already has a gaming PC then why not.
It is clear that MADvr improves the image but not enough for me to spend money on an HTPC or splurge on a used car (aka Envy).

Just use a Panasonic 4k player with HDR Optimiser and done ✅
Gotta be honest, this guy is such a boring presenter.
I can turn R/G/B saturation up manually..

Its not worth the price tag unfortunately, I get the is some improvements but the price they ask is not worth the improvements
Cheap cheap
