    FYI if you're watching this stream after the live, I did have to trim some time later on when we were demonstrating how the Lumagen works while playing some content due to copyright. So the video might make some abrupt jumps.

    I bought a barely used Radiance Pro and paid Kris to build me a configuration with custom settings for all my gear. The results were not only incredible, but very easy to install. Kris really knows these devices inside and out. Highly recommend his services! 🤙🏻 😎

    I bought a Lumagen Radiance Pro from Kris and he set it up perfectly for my system which is a bit unusual (I use both a 16x9 and a 2.35 screen since I absolutely don’t want any black bars and am able to live with minimal stretching). My system already looks great, but I hope to have Kris calibrate my system next time he tours through Texas to get the best possible performance. Very happy with the service Kris provided and the great customer service from Lumagen.

      Kris is awesome. If I go Lumagen in 2024, he'll be my guy for sure.

      @@Techthusiasm when you mention the aspect zoom made picture a bit bigger, I am like what? You saved me from moving the projector since I was struggling to fill the screen as well by 3 inches or so
      Thank you!

      Yeah, I only found that aspect zoom feature some months ago. It was recommended to me by another friend. It’s a genius setting for some situations.

    Really very useful video. Not started looking at Lumagen until today. I'm guessing I should go for a 4 series as I want my Trinnov to do the audio and then take HDMI 1 out to the Lumagen, does this makes sense ?

    • @Techthusiasm
      @Techthusiasm  Před rokem

      Thanks! There are a couple of other Lumagen-related videos on the channel too, including my dedicated review. The 5 series adds that audio reclocking and cleaner signal path. If you're not looking to take advantage of that, then save the money and get a 4 series. I will probably opt for a 4 series, I think.

      Yeah, it was a really great one for sure. Too bad we were interrupted, but it worked out.

      @@Techthusiasm That interruption was the 1st time I’ve actually experienced that! Now I have an idea of how long I can play a video before getting hit! 🤷🏾‍♂️

    Hey Jeremy, why dont you get a smaller screen that your projector can fill the screen with?

    • @Techthusiasm
      @Techthusiasm  Před rokem +1

      I originally had a 16:9 screen at 135" and going scope I did not want to reduce my effective 16:9 size. So I kept roughly the same height and added width. I knew I couldn't fill this with my current setup based on my throw distance, but someday I will solve that problem another way by moving the projector or upgrading to a new model. I thought it would be silly to buy a smaller screen just for scope and then want to change that later. Just buy the screen once instead.

    With my Christie 4K35 RGB Mirage, the Lumagen works sensationally and gets the best at all (SDR/HDR) formats. Absolute Reference Picture!
    Thanks Jeremy and Kris.

    Great interview answered a lot of questions one thing I don't understand. You mentioned that the difference between the cheaper models and the more expensive models is purely down to the number of inputs and outputs. Surely wouldn't it make sense to do the video switching in the av processor that way you don't need more expensive lumagen?

    • @Techthusiasm
      @Techthusiasm  Před rokem +1

      Yes, you could switch outside of the Lumagen and not need as much I/O.

  • @rolandkoller5985
    @rolandkoller5985 Před rokem

    A small recommendation.
    You should definitely use the Control 4 driver in your system!

    • @Australia852
      @Australia852 Před rokem

      No way, You can use Roomie Remote to control your components wirelessly or use Global Cache unit at a much cheaper option. The last thing you want is to change a component and get charged for it. Pass!!

      If a video processor ends up in my system permanently, for sure it will be in the rack and on the control system.

    • @jadan2000
      @jadan2000 Před rokem

      how is the control4 driver? What can you do with it?
