Was that a carton beer can on the table, I am a NJ native, love me some Carton beer.
Now its clear... You're moving to bigger space to contain expanding gases from exploding PSUs!
Best of luck in the new studio, Steve!
Speak of the lorax, I needed a new mouse mat. I'll get one next week with my paycheck.
So much extra stuff?! Open a GN Online Pick-A-Part for what you don't want or need. I'm sure many viewers would find much of that hardware you don't need useful.
"This is a drink Andrew was consuming earlier." This is the sort of in-depth quality and methodical video making we've come to expect from GN. More please.
Won't be happy until I see how effective that substance is as a thermal paste. It looked pretty dense! Get on that testing!
I mean, if you can find out what the flavour is, then this guy will do the testing for it. czcams.com/users/shorts4iAUu5AEcoY?feature=share As done with Nutella.
I still remember when you guys first moved into this place and how excited you were for finally having so much more space. If i remember correctly there was even more space available than you guys had plans for at the time.
It's so cool to see how much you've expanded on such a short time and are already moving to the 3rd location!
I love that Mike's title is "cooler technician" like you've got a cool technician and an uncool technician too
Jesus. I had no clue how big this actually all was. Quite an operation you got going.
Lots behind the scenes!
He's not Jesus it's just the hair.
It's mr. Steve for you, not Jesus :P
Well that wasn't calling gods name in vain, since he answered.
@@Cypeq good gods always answer:)
"I don't think that's going to happen at the new place." This reminds me of something I heard back in the day along the lines of, "we'll never use a gigabyte of storage" or "why would anyone need more than a gigabyte of ram". 🤣
Death, taxes and shit accumulating to fill all available space... Three things that simply cannot be avoided.
As a Tech Geezer, I can remember a time when we could not imagine how we would ever fill a 5MB hard drive. That was in 1983. We built and used the first commercially installed LAN. Total Cost??? About $40,000. We had 13 computers on the network and had to write all of our own pipes as there were no NOSs yet. We were approaching the storage space of the Corporate Mainframe at 65MB. ; - ). Everyonoe in other divisions thought we were out of our minds. R&D... Ahead of the curve. Silicon Valley, CA..
@@d00dEEE yeah but at least taxes are a good thing outside of the US lol
@@gecsus Damn that's wild!
If you don't mind me asking, what was your favorite hardware generation? Just curious lol
@@dumpicus_maximus The next one. Always another piece to progress. ;-)
Actually, I really liked it when we dumped the old MFM disk controllers and went to IDE. It made building computers far easier.
When you see your favourite Tech Channel/Journalist Company grow:
"I raised that boy"
We love you, guys 👍
When you zoomed out my mind was blown. This whole time you gave an illusion that you had way more space than it seemed. Glad you guys are upgrading, you definitely needed the extra space!
That was wild lol.
Also seeing that their livestream zone isn’t far away from the main zone is intriguing! Not only does it expand our room scope, it even connects two previously separate room scopes!
Imagine Marie Kondo in the storeroom:
MK: "Does this case bring joy?"
Steve: "NO! IT NEVER DID! But it's useful for content."
Also Steve: "No, but it does spark fires."
Darn. I was really hoping you would show us the break room drawer full of condiment packs, straws, and napkins.
Ty for taking PC component (and other stuff) testing so seriously. Nice to know I can rely on you all these years. Stay .. umm, you 😆.
I remember your first location and the wooden background. Keep going up guys!
Ya I was kinda confused for a moment by the title. In my defense, I’m a bit eff’ed up from My Covid booster yesterday.
@@Akkbar21 Did you get the AMD or the Intel booster? I hear the RISC vaccine is just one shot in the ARM.
Still have the wooden background! It might get relocated here sometime for a b-roll set!
@@qwkimball clever
@@qwkimball they have nothing to say compared to CELL .
I used to work in a TV studio, where we had a sets in two of the corners of the main studio, one was always set up because of daily news, and the other, all the sets were on wheels where we can quickly swap out the sets. One looked like a kitchen inside a home, another for talk show, and one looks like a home library, etc. My thought is, having multiple workbenches on wheels, so you can leave things in progress on a bench, and just roll it out for an empty bench for a live broadcast.
Great thoughts!
i’ll miss the old office, but it’s certainly good for you guys, so i’m all for it!
Just trying to wrap my head around the idea of going through all the things I've learned from this channel throughout the course of the channel and my personal life as a "computer engineer (8 years)". I'm honored to have found this channel right when I needed it. Thanks tech Jesus :D and the whole team keep crushing
Not sure how much it would help you guys, but I've found "bus tubs" to be a game-changer for WIP projects and conserving bench space. They're big enough that I can put everything disassembled into a tub and move that to the side or on a shelf, and easily grab it when i need it again. Still allows me to have everything apart, staged for assembly, or in pieces for troubleshooting but out of the way of my main work area.
Great idea!
"stacks of Gigabyte power supplies we're not really sure what to do with them."
SUGGESTION: Have you thought about trebuchets? I hear they're really good at delivering defective products in the short to medium range. I whole heartedly suggest you use trebuchets to RMA those defective power supplies.
Hi, I'm a representative of the United States Postal Service. We are _very_ displeased that you're plagiarizing our favored mode of transportation.
I'll sleep better tonight knowing my recent GN store purchases mitigated some of the moving expenses. Moving always sucks. Looking forward to new and more diverse content. Appreciate you guys. Have a couple brews and relax... Moving this close to the holidays requires blowing off steam. In the time of COVID even. Gretzky bless you all.
The old office was so LEGENDARY! I will miss it a lot...
"It's in my top 500 greatest programs of all time"....I can't tell if Andrew is joking or serious about being able to remember 500 different programs but it's something I can completely believe given anyone working at GN right now.
Love the insight to the GN operation. Keep up the great work guys.
Listening to steve's pain in his voice talking about why they need to keep the shit tier cases
Shit boxx
yeey after so many people asked about arctic duo esports they are finally benchmarking it. Thank you GN!
This studio will forever be stuck in my head as the place I went to for comparing specs on my first build, hopefully the next one will be even better for you guys. Nice to see how the channel has grown over the years from being a niche to being the go to for in depth analysis on hardware, and setting a gold standard for review ethics.
Very interesting :) you should do these walk-arounds a lil bit more often) not once in 5 years) maybe once in 6 months could do. Really interesting to see people who work on all this content for the channel. Interesting and nice to see progress.
It's crazy to see how quickly GN has outgrown the "old" office in only 3 years, but I'm loving where everything is heading!
Also, 2:06 had me dying 😂
Such a goddamn handsome team. GN staff are like that rock band that actually stayed in school.
GN is going to have an amazing 2022 year, I can sense it! 🤞🏼
Never forget that ginormous tank of LN2 randomly venting in the middle of the shot 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
GN Studio 1.0 - The house
GN Studio 2.0 - The now our of space old studio
GN Studio 3.0 - The new studio... that will get crowded in a couple of years 😆
Your office collects screw balls instead of dust bunnies.. That is a new one to me!
Congratulations on the new studio! Been a proud subscriber and Patreon member since I found your RTX 3080 review, and it makes me happy to see how much you guys have grown! Cannot wait to see what else you have in store!
All I have to say about Patrick Stone in the shot at 11:54 is, "You Monster!"
Nice sendoff. Been watching for several years now, its exciting to see you moving forward and upward. Cant wait to see what the new studio brings you as far as quality of content and perhaps faster video turnaround (testing, filming, editing, etc) Thanks to you and and the team and thanks years of great videos, keep it up!
I still miss the old old office...when it was just a desk 😁 👍
I really appreciated the transparency provided. Thanks for showing us around!
I love how you guys keep legacy hardware for testing and comparisons down the road. Fabulous attention to detail is what keeps us coming back for more. Love it and best of luck with the new studio!
Man I've been hooked to this channel for a while and I'm honestly excited for what's to come after you move. Fun times ahead and congrats on the upsize.
I remember you guys wanted to use the kitchen/lounge space for interviews during your moving vlogs. You guys outgrew the space in no time
Wow! Great memory. Yes, we did. We never ended up doing that -- although travel restrictions ate two years of that time, to be fair!
Great to see GN grow with time. I love the work you do and the return you get from the audience. May it last for many more years...
Congratulations GN team! You guys have done great things and I’m glad to have been along for the ride. Thanks for showing a behind the scenes look. It helps guide us little guys who are just starting out.
Happy for you all at GN a well deserved upgrade for all the hardwork you guys put in . I just want to say thanks for all the amazing reviews and benchmarks over the years with many more to come.
It's really cool to see behind the scenes. It seems just a while ago when you guys moved to this studio.
What an amazing job GN has done, great to see you guys grow. Can't wait for fan testing especially. :)
I am incredibly amazed at just how much content you were able to produce with the sheer overload of stuff you have. Kudos to you all!
Congrats on growing large enough to have to expand a second time. I have been informed and entertained by your videos for a while and look forward to what you can do in the new space.
Totally stoked for seeing the new space up and running and all the future reviews and testing you will be able to accomplish. Best of luck to the whole crew of GN!
The GN channel has grown so much over the years since I've watched. Moving from the house on first official expansion. You have grown larger seeking new space beyond. It's great to see how things have blossomed so much requiring another move. Such a good thing to see the GN brand grow and expand into new areas.
Congratulations on your success and new studio. May the force be with you 🖖.
Steve, you guys have all done a really great job with what space you had. Hats off to you on that. Looking forward to seeing your move and how things look in the new place.
I really appreciate the whole GN team more after seeing how much you do, given the space constraints.
Congrats on all the success! Well deserved. There isn't another channel out there as in-depth and informative as yours.
Here's to many more years of success. You guys seriously deserve it after all the awesome work you put in.
Exciting times, glad you're team is moving to a better location, and I can't wait to see some of the new things the new space will bring to us.
Thx for the end tour!
Feels almost like yesterday when you moved in here and it looked huge, crazy how fast you outgrew it.
Been a fan for a while, glad to see that you guys can expand and grow. The larger space is going to be a great upgrade, it must be exciting to see your hard work pay off! I bid you good luck in your next frontier as a media outlet in the tech sector!
I love watching these types of videos. It is so funny to see you guys doing this video as I still remember the ones you did moving out of the house into this current space. Congrats on your continuous growth and evolution.
Super to see your hard work paying off. Onwards and upwards GN.
Congratulations man, hoping all the best for the GN.
You guys are total studs. I love it! Thanks!
It makes me happy to see GN's growth through good honest hard work. I'm excited to see them take it to the next level with the new space.
Thanks for all the content guys, here's to much more.
So excited for your company guys hope the move is smooth! Congratulations on everything and hopefully it wont get cluttered so fast.
Thx for publishing part of GN history and sharing it with all of us!
I think this video really highlights the work and time you guys spend on giving us the excellent review videos. Really shows that it's not like you have one system, do the testing and the presents the results. I like this type of content as a complement to the "normal" review videos.
I love Patrick. Always looks like he's blazed out of his mind.
Anytime I'm doing an upgrade your videos are essential viewing and even when not just to see the state of the industry in really good detail, so glad to see you doing so well and heres to your future success!
Amazing to you see you continue to grow and excel! Good luck with the new office!
Amazing stuff, great to see how the team and channel has grown, new space is going to be great!
So excited for these guys. Truly a special channel. Thank you for working so hard and doing the testing you do. And bravo for taking on big brands, calling them out on their bullshit. Alpha moves boys.
So proud of what all of you have accomplished. GN is a unique group that produces some amazing content!
pretty awesome seeing how things run behind the cameras. it really does look like you outgrew this place, so im stoked to see how things flow at the new shop
Congrats. This is a good channel, you guys deserve the success.
It felt like you guys just moved, and now you've outgrown the place and moving again! Amazing growth, wish you guys the best
Glad you gave the old office a good video sendoff. Congrats on the new digs, know yall can't wait to be moved in and operational.
isnt it crazy how as an enthusiast it's usually like: "more tech, more better" but when looking at this I feel like this really wouldn't be something that would be a lot of fun and rather becomes a lot of work to just build and maintain all these computers etc. oppose to just building one with great current hardware and then just enjoying to use it.
Watching this has made me really excited for you guys for the new space. Congrats again and I look forward to content from the new space. RIP GN Office
Love to see your business goes well. We moved 2 years ago, 3x the space than before, now we need more. Because of shortage we expand stock multiple times and now it's crowded
Congratulations Steve, you and your team deserve it!
It's really amazing how far you've come with your channel and the production values. I remember a video you did 5-6 years ago showing off the new set you were using for GN videos. "I bought two chairs and I'm really excited about that!" And now you're really a professional studio doing serious content that pretty much nobody else is willing or able to do. Especially with all the old reliable tech reviewers selling out to soulless corporate money.
Hope for a good move for the team. Also would love to see more biking videos, Wendell, and more of your standard content. Looking forward to the new testing equipment being used as well.
More space is always nice! Hope the move isn’t too painful! Love the content!
I've been a sub since 2013. Thank you for your guys hard work and dedication 🙏 I always enjoy every video and I'm glad you're finally moving into a bigger place. I thought this place was too small from the get go. 🐐
Can't wait to see the new setup in full. Like the honesty in your approach to testing. Agree you have to hold onto things for redundancy reasons
Great work GN, you guys gave made this far. Gonna miss the old studio.
feels like just yesterday you moved in there :D time flies, great progress and evolution since the first move, great people working for GN too now
Moving into a bigger space is always a mixed blessing. I moved my office into my son's bedroom when he moved out. I was sure it would be enough space. Danmed books and an expanding computer hobby...
Anywho, Steve and your compatriots, I've learned a lot from you and your currently outgrown space and I wanted to say thank you. I'm looking forward to learning a great deal more.
Good luck in the new studio. Fond memories of the old.
That goodbye in the title scared me half to death, glad you guys are moving to a bigger office, congrats
Keep it up guys! Can't wait to see the quality of content that comes out of the new space
Man working here would be an absolute dream! I’m not gonna lie I was a bit overwhelmed when I discovered how deep some of these videos went. Yet somehow I was enthralled. Slowly but surely Steve has become my favorite techtuber by a mile. S tier humor and sarcasm, I really can’t get enough of. Besides that I am super thankful that someone who knows and cares so much sticks up to industry giants and companies and is a TRUE consumer advocate. Really can’t put into words how much I enjoy your channel. I don’t comment a ton, but I certainly do learn a ton. Thanks Steve and the GN crew ❤️
Kinda sad to see it go but definitely needed. Excited to see the future!
Love the music and different nature of this video
Oh the memories… Excited for what’s next guys!!
Wow lot of behind the scene stuff that is easy to take for granted, like making sure that test benches are re-calibrated when they need to be updated. Going to be cool to see how much more efficient the new space will be.
Very proud and very happy that your company has been very very successful. I've been a follower since 100K sub. KEEP IT UP!
It's been a ride, only getting better as it goes along. You've worked your fingers to the bone and it's paid off 👍
you guys deserve it cant wait to see the new Nexus gratz
Been here since your nvidia 960 review awhile back. Very cool seeing your channel morph over time.
Time goes so freakin fast. It was like yesterday when I watch you tour the current ( old ) office holy shit.
I love this kind of content. I'm smiling right now.
Bitter Sweet. Dope that the new place is finally here, but damn if I won't miss that backdrop.
