how are you doing now? i'm 17 right now and have watched stand up my entire life but just developed enough confidence to really see myself doing it. I'm doing my first open mic before I graduate this year and have been taking notes on my phone about things i observe. I just don't know what to fully expect from an open mic crowd and the best way to react

go to open mics and see whats up, go to as many open mics as you can. if you really like comedy, then you live there now. you can do it!
