Discover The 4 Emotions You Need To Make a Killer First Impression:

The humor breakdown I mentioned: • 4 Jokes That Will Make...
Louis CK is one of the most respected comedians in the world. And part of it is because he seems so effortlessly funny. There’s no big action like Jim Carrey or Robin Williams, no elaborately clever set ups, just simple truths that make audiences crack up
But it’s not that simple. Because while the truth makes for good art, it isn’t always funny. Louis CK has devised a way of delivering his stories and jokes in packages that are different from what most of us do. And because of that he’s able to create hilarious moments from everyday commentary. Today we’re going to explore 3 of Louis techniques that will make you make just about anything funnier
1:00 Louis CK times it where this Stephen Colbert clip shows
4:24 Louis CK repeats the punchline like in this Jimmy Fallon clip
7:27 Louis CK acts his jokes out like in The Tonight Show and more

how to kill a joke?Tell it to Jimmy Fallon.
Hate him
AHAHAHA. AHAHAHAHAHA.. AHAHHAHAHHAHAHA SLAPS DESK AHAHAHAHAHA. THAT''S SO TRUE HAHAHA SLAPS DESK X2
I really don't understand why Fallon is popular, I can't watch his show because I'm constantly cringing.
Fallon is such a pandering jackass.
The dude stutters too much and laughs annoyingly
It's nice that you compared him to himself in the beginning of his carreer, it shows that even that best of the bests have had issues on their craft and overcame them. Since you're always here in Brazil and knows how to speak portuguese, it would be nice if you did a video on Tatá Werneck, she is really funny and unnusual. It's a shame it would be hard to explain her humor and what she's saying to american viewers... Love Your Work man!!!!
If he was honest, he would include how Louis has become less funny, but he misunderstands instead and claims it's how Louis makes things funny. Like the physical stuff..... That's a way that Louis has gone downhill. At his peak, he didn't need physicality or sound effects because the material was so good and the delivery so expert.
Dan D, it's all subjective... but before you can just say he's "less funny" now, you'd have to compare everything he's writing/producing/directing/etc, know what's entirely his or influenced by him, and then go from there... but that's a lot of stuff so I don't think you can just say he's not funny altogether... perhaps an argument is that one thing takes from the other thing which you value more... the acclaim he gets for all sorts of stuff certainly makes it seem like he's doing pretty well in terms of funniness
Nah. Just talking about stand up.
Tata Werneck is so funny!
Tatá Weneck >>>> Fat Slut Nasty Amy Schumer
I love Louis CK. One thing I love about him is that he can introduce a vulgar or disgusting thought to his audience and then laugh at his audience for the way they reacted. I remember one joke like this he told, and right after their reaction, he said, "That's not me, that's just me laughing at your reaction to that thought." He really knows how to play with his audience.
I feel like that’s his weapon to get away with saying some deep, taboo thoughts that normally shouldn’t come past people’s lips.
Thing is, he has such masterful delivery, that you can’t help but appreciate and laugh at his frankness.
I love how he masturbates on people. Hilarious...
Can you do one of Bill Burr that would be awsome
YES
Dre Deda please
yes yes yes yes yes
yes please!
Dre Deda yes 👌
YES OMG PLEASE
He's so relatable, not PC at all. Genius. The quality of these breakdowns just keeps getting better!
He is like that guy you know at the pub
Exactly! plus he's not doing it from a place of being 'better' than anyone
what does PC mean?
proffesional comedian probs
Rafael Sanchez politically correct
Why did the chicken cross the road? ......................(pause)........(pausing continues).........(realizes noone is laughing).......(repeats joke) WHY DID THE CHICKEN CROSS THE ROAD!? .....(Steadily grows more and more insane) WHY!? WHY DID THE CHICKEN CROSS THE ROAD!!!??? GODDAMMIT WHY!!!??
I would laugh at that lol
*chuckles*
PowahSlap Entertainmint See? It actually worked.
That was actually hilarious
PowahSlap Entertainmint why did the chicken cross the road ? ( pauses....then leaves room)
Do one on Karl pilkington. He can makes anything naturally funny without any effort
I second this!
You can make anything funny with Ricky laughing in the background.
You can't really analyse him. His brain just works in an unusual way, so he sees things from unique perspectives.
M A it’s true. I once saw a clip of the show friends with Ricky laughing and it was actually funny
Pilkington is genuinely funny without meaning to be. He's one of the few people in a public forum who genuinely "thinks outside the box". His comments about living at Petra in Jordan are brilliant. (You live somewhere that overlooks something beautiful, not in it, like everyone thinks to do!)
The more Ricky Gervais tried to rip on him the more Karl was right!
Nice summary! I found it reminiscent of something Louis has talked about, which is the idea of "staying in the bit": commit to the joke you're telling. This is pretty intuitive when the joke is killing, but he says that it works also when the joke is not being enjoyed by the audience. According to him, it allows the audience to *dispense their disgust/disappointment/whatever on the character of the bit, rather than the comedian* him/herself.
"Repeating a punchline in more absurd terms" is called heightening.
Can you break down why Jimmy Fallon laughs at everything?
He has, it's something like "why Jimmy Fallon seems fake"
because Jimmy Fallon gets high during work
Hasn't this been done?
This channel already did that video, and it's called "Why Jimmy Fallon Seems Fake"
Yeah Ive seen the video since i posted that comment. This was the first video i saw on this channel because I was looking up louis ck
This was insightful thanks
You should do a charisma breakdown on jim from the office
Um. BRILLIANT.
This would be interesting
Els Rulmyn ok then why is Pam in your profile picture
I personally think Jim is one of the least likeable characters of any television show I've ever seen... So yes, it would be interesting to hear someone defend the logic behind his "charisma"...
My two favorite two things Louis does in his act, and has done for years are:
1)starting a show with one of those jokes that are super awkward and outrageous, ans then bringing it back. he talked about it on o&a, that when he became famous, he didnt like that the audience was already set to over laugh at his stuff, so he kind of rebooted them with a really out-there joke.
2) not something he only does but...after he's gone on a tangent from a starting subject and veered off from it quite a bit, going "so that's how...[first premise] is"
i just love how he can make you laugh at really controversial stuff and still make you think about it
I catch myself watching your videos for the way you analyze and break stuff down more often than for the very lesson itself, which really shows that you keep improving. Love the videos mate!
CK : legend
Saif Alaswad legend of sexual harrasment
asking is not harrasment.
The first sentence: "Louis CK is one of the most respected comedians in the world."
lol
Benyed lol he didn’t do anything wrong
It doesn't matter whether he did anything wrong or not, he's definitely lost all of his respect.
Zero respect lost I'm a comedian and nobody I know thinks he's any less brilliant
Steve Collins still nothing to do with respect. His skill as a comedian hasn’t changed, but his reputation has. Depends if you are talking about people who respect just the skill or everything about the person as a person.
......and he STILL is!
We luv u, Louie....come back soon. I know myself and all my friends will be in Philly at ur 1st show back.
Great points. I did a joke regarding your points to my brothers, and it is true that breathing space for the audience to laugh, acting it out, and reiterate jokes further make the laughs greater.
Top 10 videos made before disasters
The opening line of this video hasn’t aged well.
Love Louis CK one of the funniest stand up comedians! huge influence on my form of comedy
5:10 *Jimmy, dude, lock it up man, jesus.*
It's amazing how you break all this stuff down. Walking around, seeing people go about their day must be exhausting, being able to pick out all the little nuances.
I honestly have watched so much louis ck that I tell funny stories in the way that he does and I definitely get more laughs.
I don't watch these videos to improve myself, I just like how they make me appreciate people like Louis CK more.
Man i love these videos..............always keep waiting for videos!
I love louis ck and I love your channel this video was like having a coca cola after walking the sahara desert,
I love this channel man. Thanks for making this. This is great stuff!
I binged watch your entire channel in the past 2 days. Really good content!
that intro didnt age well
10/10
Riley Court Bennett Shut up
Do you guys just look for every video saying good things about him just to say the same thing?
Anthony I look at Louis ck stuff because I love it, but I thought the exact same thing. You can’t just ignore the fact that his reputation took a big hit, hence not exactly the same level of respect as he had a year ago.
Hahahahahahah
0:06
Louis CK is one of the most respected comedian in the world
😂😂 it’s 2021 and this statement has never been more funnier.
very educational and practical. you analyze Louis Ck's technique very well and precisely. those are truly his killer moves. thanks for doing this
Loved the video man, I felt like you nailed Louis CK comedy pretty well. I agree with you all the way.
Could you do an item on Ricky Gervais?
Doesn't sound like something he'd give his full enthusiastic consent to... :/
The guy has sharp wit. His insults are awesome
Like all great artists and performers, he constantly works, and when he's not on stage, he's writing and practicing material for the next time. He's not afraid to throw material away. He writes so much it doesn't matter if he gets rid of the junk that doesn't hit the mark, then we the audience only get the good stuff. But I'm sure he struggles getting it right first.
From this and your other videos, I'm starting to notice a pattern among comedians. Your Robin Williams' breakdown shows how he committed to his jokes (Acting them out) while the Conan O'Brien video on how to be witty reveals the doubling down technique (Adding on to his jokes). Personally, through experimenting with both of these ideas I can say they're really effective. Nice breakdown, +charisma on command ;)
I'm happy i found this channel. I've been bingeing!
yeahahahaha HAHAHA yeah
-Jimmy Fallon
To me, he evolves comedy perfectly. I'm not the type to go for perfect PC cleanliness, but I think he is amazing at reference the culture without trying to offend or bash.
Well Done!
Your analysis and execution on the Topic was very thoughtful and thorough. It's easy to forget that everything in "showbusiness" is a well rehearsed production,,, especially in the case of Louis CK, his ability to seem so candid and natural is just a true testament to his brilliance.
like I said though,,, your presentation of the subject Matter warrants further exploration in to your channel..
thanks again for your hard work!
Thank You for these videos guys! You have been giving tremendous value since high school!
My favourite comedian! :) Good analysis, I just saw his new standup on Netflix and his bit about why it is 2017 was great and a good example of him repeating and digging deeper into the joke. At first I was like, yeah I know, at the end I actually let out a sensible chuckle. That's a good grade from me! :)
George Carlin next plz XD
Edward Dean 👍👍👍👍👍
Yes, please!
I'd love it if you did a video on tips for cold calling. I find I am confident and great at sales in person but I am really struggling to transfer that over to the phone.
Love your channel, it's helped me so much already. Keep up the good work. Thank you!
I've been watching tons of your videos since yesterday, relating to them, rather than learning from them. All of the things you mention are things I do consciously already, on purpose, to achieve an end goal. My mindset and mood never really changes, and I adapt my behavior to my situation in a way that allows me to come out with my intended result every time.
...Am I a sociopath?
Great video :)
WTF, someone teach Jimmy Fallon how to laugh like a human.
"KHHKYKYA HYAGH HYAUH HYAUGH"
I love this dude ❤❤ best comedian ever
Great video!
I´ve always been the kind of person that is sometimes very funny kind of by accident (sometimes also though like i didn't even meant to be funny) if it's the kind of crowd that appreciates my type of humour like you just kinda roll into it without planning it you know. However whenever I consciously make the dicision to crack a joke 90% of the time it tends to fall flat. I'm always the type of funny-by-accident guy in an absurdistic, socially akward way amongst the people that would describe me as funny I believe. Now that I'm thinking about some examples for myself that I remember about all of the points that you make applied to those situations when I rolled into being funny. Thinking about it like that now I think that whenever I very consciously want to make a joke that I hope everyone will laugh at I focuss on the actual substance of the joke and adjusting that to what I experience people find funny nowadays. After watching this I've realised that I probably just should trust more on my own type of humour and what I find funny and my own style and concentrate more on making the deliverance of my jokes as effective as possible.
Thanks! I always thought I would never be able to do stand-up because I would just go down so badly but now I feel like I could give it a shot if I wanted to! ^_^
Dude, thank you for this video. Excellent breakdown of punchlines in general
~ Glad you're digging it!
I would love to see one on Chris Pratt
Drawing with Mattias, never thought I'd see you here,
Well I definitely need to learn charisma
Drawing with Mattias yeah, your a really good artist, but a lot of people in the comments mistake your criticism as narcissism because of your deliverance
You think so? To me you came across as very authentic and i liked that.
Mattias Pilhede I love your videos ;DD and I think he did already ;00?
Man this y'all are genius, you and CK. Ive been doing the rule of three's thing without knowing, which just shows how universal the idea is
Your use of the English language was smooth, you painted a vivid picture. Finding the correct combination of words can make or break any story. Plus timing. Well done.
A Stephen Colbert breakdown would be great!
STEPHEN COLBERT BREAKDOWN!!!!
Mohammed Abdulmohsen he's simple he just really good at keeping a straight face while saying ridiculous stuff
Also make you've got a paid audience that will break out in laughter whenever you utter a syllable
Colbert isn't funny.
I love Colbert, but I do wonder if he's only funny because of his writers. He's not usually that funny in interviews. Now Jon Stewart, that man is legend.
Colbert is perfectly balanced between offbeat humor and absurd humor. A lot of people don't appreciate that style and just want joke-punchline.
Awesome video man. Thanks for the awesome tips!!
I've been binging your videos for the past three days now. I think my subscribtion to you channel is long overdue. Subscribed. Keep the great content coming, man!
Charlie you definitely should make review about charisma of Harvey Specter from serial "Suits". He is very charismatic.
I think there was a video where Louis even admits that he makes his jokes more funny by making it sound like he just came up with the idea, like he's improving from the previous bit. In reality, everything he does is very polished and calculated. He knows it'll be more funny if it sounds like we just thought of it. I think a lot of comedians do that to some extent - and probably why some of them can become actors, they're doing very similar things
I love his stories and jokes! he's genius!
The pervert joke had me crying 😂😂
Anyone else notice all the Louis C.K. videos recommended??
how do you analyze so well?
JK
I am wondering about that myself.
Thank you for these insights!!! Great elaboration!
I'm amazed how useful this video actually was. Excellent.
~ Glad you're finding it useful Trevor!
I bet Amy Schmer is taking notes 😳😂🐽🐷
Khan i hope she does
I like Amy Schumer
She delivers pretty well, but the material is shitty.
VascoDaGamaOtRupcha the literal opposite dude
huh, so what r u saying, u like her jokes?
"Louis CK is one of the most respected comedians in the world." Aged absolutely terribly.
IKR LOL
Louis is also quite clearly a genius with great outlooks and observations
I really appreciate this deep dive of Louis C.K. humor.
1:06 Oh he leaves a beat for people alright....
I really liked stand ups of *Wendy Liebman* (one of the comedians Amy Shumer stole jokes from). They were so good and got so many laughs. Her style was unique and refreshing. However when she made a comeback in America's (?) Got Talent. A lot of her jokes fell flat. There wasn't much response.
I would love it if you did an *analysis* comparing her new standups with the old ones. and why the new ones don't work well even when she uses jokes that have worked before.
Just didn't have the timing anymore
Oh my god, Early Louis CK! WHAT.
Wow!! This is really sharp, informative, and full of incredibly keen and useful observations!! Great insightful analysis of stand-up comedy techniques, the sort of tips a professional mentor would give--impressive, and super helpful!! Thank you!!
very good analysis!
~ Glad you like it!
Hey man I just wanna let you know I appreciate everything you do. Your channel is solid and very informative. I spend a lot of time studying psychology and human evolution through people like Jordan Peterson and Rhonda Patrick and James Marshall. For you to be named in that list is a huge honor in anyone's standards so keep doing what you're doing. And I'll keep learning
I love Louis, god damn. I would love to see more videos of comedians. Doing a full episode about George Carlin would be really cool since you mentioned him briefly here.
I found this very helpful. Thank you
“Louis CK is one of the most respected comedians in the world”
That certainly aged well...
First Tony Robbins, then Louie. Poor Charlie can't catch a break with the folks he endorses...
This makes me even missing him more
6:20 joke was halirious !!!!
great points!!!!! love the video !
I truly appreciate the comedian aspects and the break down of his humor. I'm an aspiring comedian and from now on you'll be on my notification. Ps I will let others comedians /entertainers know about your page. Thanks a million because I never noticed it until today
Can you do a video about the rise and fall from power using characters from TV and film like Walter White from Breaking Bad, Scarface, Avon Barksdale from The Wire etc. Like why different people want it, how thet got it. Do's and don'ts and why they fall.
He gets laugh by jizzing on his belly
Thank you for making this video! ☺
Hahahahaha it's fun watching this again
This has aged well
Do shrek, he is soo relatable
This is GREAT!! Thank you!
~ Glad you're digging it!
God man, you're like the friend i need to hang out with all the time! Great vids and rich content and a well oriented povs on a lot of subjects !
Papa bless
Do one with Bill Burr.
Strange how I get recommended this video now.
Yousexythang same here
It literally took me 30 minutes to watch this video, kept on watching Louis CK clips in between. 😅
Love your channel. It's something I watch cery regularly. By the way could you please do a video of Professor and how he just demonstrates authority and how to get people to respect you that much...
6:28
Ok... now we have an idea.
Do RSD Tyler.
Upvoted
Lol rsd is a giant fraud company
Go do it and be mesmerized
liked and subscribed .. great breakdown man! keep up the good work :)
~ Glad you liked the breakdown man! Welcome to the channel :-)
Normally breaking down someone's art kinda spoils it, but this really highlights how talented and well honed Louis is. Enjoyable.
A video on Don Draper, what works and what is just fictitious for the sake of the show
Uuh I know the answer!
He makes everything funny by being a genius! That's about it haha
You'd think a genius would be smart enough not to ask women at the workplace whether he can masturbate in front of them
Arnold Chukwu so what you're saying is that a Genius has to be flawless
We need more comedy analysis like this
hey charisma on comand, i really like your break down videos. from all channel you are one of the best self improvement channel with breakdowns from the top charismatic peoples.
if you're able can you make the break down of gabriel igglesias story telling skills and how people have the feeling of "being funny"
