    still using a glass bed + glue stick , with an capacitivy probe. works like a treat, bed adhesion is good. only let down is that i have to wait until the bed is cooled way down before removing prints. on the other hands, i dont have to worry about scratching, denting it or cleaing it. its so rugged. i can leave it for weeks, dust it of and print. it works 100% of the time.

      Thank you for the feedback. I on the other hand prefer to just print on a clean bed and not have to worry about adhesion. So far it has been working great for me and I am using PEI or Cmagnet back and forth, depending on what I am printing (or what I am testing).

      @@muteFPV it's definitely an good optio n when you print a lot.

    Great comparison video, thank you! I’m using triangle labs pei coated sheet and creality magnetic base same as in your video. In my experience pei is much better in terms of adhesion than creality bed when printing with petg, but with flex creality bed works better for me with less bed heating. My hotbed’s settings for petg is 70 and for flex is 50°C. If I set 70 for flex and printing with pei bed it sticks same as petg, at 50 it doesn’t stick much. Pretty weird.

      Thank you very much! Now that you mentioned high temps, is 70 the max for the magnetic sheet? I have seen mixed opinions about how high it can go without affecting its magnetic properties.

      @@muteFPV hmm I’m not sure, as I used to heat it up to 80-90 and there were no problem with magnetism. I mostly use 70 because its slightly below petg’s softening point and provides good adhesion.

      Nice, thanks for the feedback! Are you using creality's magnetic sheet, or the one that came with the TriangleLabs pei sheet? (although I would expect it to be the same thing)

      @@muteFPV no problem! :) If you asking about magnetic base - I’m using the stock one which my ender was equipped with by creality, but yeah, I guess they all the same

    On the PEI surface is the logo on the spring steel or on the actual PEI?

    • @muteFPV
      @muteFPV  Před 2 lety

      I think it is on the spring steel, I have seen it sold separately and I remember that the PEI had no logo
