    I bought this as my first ever snowmobile last year and enjoyed it. Only got 863 miles on it with the short winter but definitely had some fun and it has more than enough pep for a casual trail rider like myself. Top speed was about 87-88 MPH and averaged around 13.5 mpg. Just sold it and gonna try the Renegade Sport for next year before I potentially move up to something a bit more powerful for 2022-23 riding season.

    June 2020 I bought myself my first ever ATV, a Polaris sportsman 570. Having said that I've also always wanted to own a skidoo. After many many nights watching countless reviews and videos, I like I did with my ATV purchase, watched you guys and pulled the trigger on my purchase and was very happy about it. Now after seeing this video I've made up my mind to get the MXZ 600 Sport. I was leaning towards the Polaris but going to get this one as my first. Thanks for the great videos as usual guys! Cheers from Newfoundland!

    Nice review guys was waiting on this from you since “dad” had a first look at it a while ago haha. I’m debating this or a mxz 600etec as a first new machine in a long while. You can’t beat this price though and they seem to resale very well here in Alberta as you can’t find them anywhere they went like hot cakes from the dealer. Might snow check one to insure I get one for 2021/22 riding season and I’ll get the promotional warranty and finance rate on it to boot

    Spring ordered a Renegade 600 EFI. Not new to the sport (been riding for all of my 38 years). Got tired of the weight of my 1200, like the $4000 discount versus a 600r (in Canada), and I’ll be riding with my 12 year old son following along on a 377 fanner. No need for more speed and the lightweight will be great. Plus in 3 or 4 years if he’s still in to sledding he can get the 600EFI and I’ll upgrade (and the 377 will get passed to his sisters).
    Agree with the comments from others - in Canada, given the 600EFI is around $500 cheaper than all the blast/venom models it’s a total no brainer. Kids grow fast and jump to full size in a year or 2.
    Nice review guys - appreciate reviewing all the models top to bottom.

    I haven't snowmobiled since the late 80s. I grew up in a full Arctic Cat family and we had great sleds for all riding levels. The old El Tigre 6000 would beat a lot of much higher dollar units...but that was lifetimes ago.
    I recently got the itch again and was really looking at the Blast / Venom, but that msrp for a 400 really sticks. If I can get a 600 for the price of a 400, it's a no-brainer as long as it isn't archaic in tech vs the comp. Looks like that isn't the case and it appears a no-brainer for the brp.
    Only thing I need to research is how much power I could add to the AC for what cost. I'm 6'2" but would still prefer the small sled (light)...my back is shot so getting a 400lb machine unstuck vs a 500lb machine is a big deal.
    Thanks for the review and helping push the needle towards what would be my first break product in all my powersports toys.

    I think a lot of people miss ski-doo s possible direction for this. In Minnesota you legally can't solo drive a sled on the trails until you are 12 and pass the safety course. By then, they are getting bigger and will quickly grow out of the smaller sleds. Full size is in my opinion the better route. My kids all started on low hp Full size sleds. Actually earlier than they were supposed to. And they are still.alive, one got into racing eventually too.

The 600 feels like it has something left even if cruising at 90-100, you can still hit the gas and jump a berm. I have a small amount of seat time on 900 ace, 600 etec and an 850, this thing is a pretty good performer. I honestly thing it will kill off the base model ski doo e tec sleds. No point in spending $4000 more for the few extra HP and a nicer colour (at that point its a better buy to go straight for an X package)

  • @Nutralyzed

    these are pretty slow on the lake not gonna lie. but I agree with where they have targeted this sled to be sold because its definitely working. having rode 95% lakes one of these is pointless for me but if I rode trails strictly this would be the no brainer sled to buy. they handle well, and have good clutch engagement. they do seem to like fuel if you're constantly riding hard and the seat isn't that comfortable for long rides. spent a good amount of time riding my Buddys 600 efi and the only thing I would change is the seat for an x seat and add the option of lateral footplates. it didn't feel natural having nothing to wedge my foot against if I'm cornering hard but I guess that is the same for all of the g4 skidoos.

    Not to take away anything from the 600 Sport, or your review but why would you use an AC Blast and a Polaris EVO as the comparison sleds? Both of those other sleds are "mid" sized and the 600 Sport is a full-sized chassis. The 600 Sport is an entry-level sled to be sure, but wouldn't the Polaris Indy SP and the (discontinued) AC ZR 3000 be more comparable sleds?

      @ih302 Před 3 lety

      Yep, I call this in a previous video and was told "officially" that the ski-doo sport line was not a direct competitor with the 400s or the EVO because the ski-doos were not marketed as "youth" models but now they are comparing them directly....

    • @snowtrax
      @snowtrax  Před 3 lety

      We compare them to each other because we have all three on-hand and all the youth in our crew (about dozen of them) and all the female riders in our crew have been riding these 3 sleds all winter. Each sled fits each rider differently and each rider has his/her own opinion. We didn't think qualifying this was necessary nor did we think it would cause so much controversy. I think your missing the point of the Venom, Evo and Blast. They are more aimed at the crowd who is moving off a 120 or 200 sled, need a model with a bigger frame and a bit more power. Not enough power to keep up with running across a lake with other 600's. I want my child to be safe and slowly learn snowmobiling correctly as they move up in CC's. When I feel and see they are safe drivers, responsible AND capable of handling a faster more equipped sled, then a 600 EFI I would consider. Well 1998 rmk 600 big block non ves puts out 105hp ves motors were 115hp man this is sad 85hp ....LOL

    • @SportsInMotionMF
      @SportsInMotionMF Před 3 lety

      Yeah but in 1998 that RMK had to meet no emissions regulations and chugged fuel to start cold. The repeatability of EFI over altitude and weather / temp is real and makes carbs a PITA to maintain. Reliability is better with smaller ports and you can always buy bigger motors that make more power and wear out in 4000 miles

      I agree totally only 85 hp for the same price as last year's 600 carb which had 105 hp I have been running the 600 carb engines since 2002 and the power was just about right no way I can go down to 85 hp so it forces us 600 carb owners to spend 4k more to go up to a 600r etec. If they could of made it around 100 hp with the efi system that would of been a sweet sled.

      maybe you should have bought the expedition sport like i did! no complaints and only 500 dollars more than the sport which includes a real windshield, 2 up seat with back rest, a hitch . an articulating rear suspension and a 154x16x1.5 track!! 85mph no joke..over the top impressed with this sled!! rides amazing!!
