    Chickpea breadcrumbs are a single ingredient gluten-free and grain-free breadcrumb alternative. You can use them in place of breadcrumbs in any recipe to add flavor, protein, and fiber while keeping the same crunchy breadcrumb texture.
    As you might suspect, chickpea crumbs do have a slight chickpea flavor, but the flavor is not overpowering. If you add these breadcrumbs to a recipe with stronger flavors, you can’t taste them at all. The texture is very similar to a panko breadcrumb. It has the course little pieces of the crumbs and the ‘crispy’ texture due to its flaky nature.

    I made these chickpea breadcrumbs!!!
    It was soooo simple and it was something that I needed so much and I could not believe that it can be possible to make healthy alternative for breadcrumbs!!!
    I made them and the second day I baked fish balls which I put in that chickpea breadcrumbs in order to make them moist inside and crunchy outside.
    It was so tasty!!! Also I could eat these breadcrumbs on their own with a spoon))
    They have nice taste as they are like tiny crackers :)))
    Very useful in different recipes!!!

    This is brilliant! I’m thinking I could put the soaked chickpeas in my dehydrator at a lower temp, to preserve more nutrients, and then grind them. Thanks for sharing this!

    Thanks a lot for this video. I am allergic to yeast and have been struggling to replace breadcrumbs with other alternatives, so this chickpea crumbs idea will definitely widen my options.

      No. Because they are soaked. You will get hummus if you pulse them more and more

      Chickpeas are quite high in carbs, so I doubt it. The nutritional info is in the recipe box (on my blog: nutritionrefined.com/chickpea-breadcrumbs/) if you're interested.

      I have never tried it in a smoothie (I only tried cooked chickpeas, which work quite well). For a protein boost, I usually use hemp seeds.

    Have been looking for an healthy alternative for breadcrumb from a long time... this is abs fab...
    I don't have an oven.. plz suggest an alternative way to dry out the chickpea...can I boil or steam the chickpea.. and then process it for better digestion..
