Blade, I have 275 60 15's on the back of my Chevelle, when I was welding the quarters on I widened the wheel wells for them back then because I had to put outer wheel wells in too, and I also used the factory wheel back space when I ordered the wheels because I love the front end to sit up a little higher than the back, it makes her look tight!
ss396rat Blade, I originally wanted to get a set of those Firestone Wide ovals but Jesus Christ those fuckers are $200 a piece and change, fuck that, I didn't see paying all that money when I'm just going to burn them up eventually!
Beauty looks a little more beastly with those on her👍🏻👍🏻 I've had 275's on my 68 for ever and you will be fine but they will rub a little at the very top inner wheel well above where you rolled the pinch weld if you go around corners hard it's the little side to side movement in the rear end its self
nice car, cool that it has a 12 bolt in it. they are few and far between. playing with offset makes a world of difference, my 67 elcamino has 295 on it. plan on trying a 10 in rally on it to make the sidewall a little straighter.
Damn that 72 is sweet ! And lookie lookie a 12 Bolt ! Nice! And yes sir i looked it up yes you are correct 1 inch difference, you should be fine like i said you might get a better time , be interesting to see for sure !
Yes 5 1/2 inch is the magic number. I had a true 74 SS Nova and I ran a 9 inch rear wheel with no rubbing at all. How did I do that ? I cheated , I actually ran a wheel from JEGS that had 6 inch back spacing. I also used a 7/16 inch spacer with longer studs to get the job done. the front wheels were 8 inch wheels .
Rid or smooth out that inner fender weld before you roll, would be nice to install shock relocating kit and get use to going into driveways or dips straight forward not side swiping or you'll wear out them tires
Love the steelies. Great sleeper look!
Thank you. Good information. Beautiful Nova.

ss396rat how did you like the BFG radials? I'm thinking of getting Cooper Cobras or the ones you have .

Very nice bro😍
Think I could fit 15x10 in the back on my 70 nova?
I did test it ..and abit tight on outside ..I think my 10. 5 rear diff housing need cut 1.5 inches on both side then it will fit under
what about 295 50 15.??
Looks nice. What's the specs on your front rims?
Will 275 60 it fit if your car is lowered 2”
Shortend rearend or stock length
Rid or smooth out that inner fender weld before you roll, would be nice to install shock relocating kit and get use to going into driveways or dips straight forward not side swiping or you'll wear out them tires
My 69 is about 2 inches lower in the rear. Do you think your setup would still work with the lowered height
nice
So ive looked and cant find no one who sells a 15x8 5.5 in backspacing rim where did you get those rims from or was there wheel spacers involved?
Summit racing
What size rim and tire did you have on the back of the 72 before? 235 60 15?
yes
What type shocks are you running on the drag Nova?
Lakewood drag shocks
Think I could fit 15x10 in the back? And with those 275?
I think you'll be too wide with the 10" rim
i wonder if it would fit a 68 chevelle
Did you have to do any mods to make it fit, and does it run. I've got a 72 nova and I'm thinking of putting 275s on it
no mods just get 5 and a quarter backspace
@@ss396rat I also have a 72, I got some smoothie rims for it, with 4.7 almost 5in back space…would a 275 still work? I got 15x8 rear end rims.
Hey man, what wheel/tire combo are you running on the front? Mine rub and it's annoying as hell so I'm trying to find a better combo for the front.
And what shocks are you running on back?
@@thomasshamp6031 competition engineer
Thanks! What about the front tires/wheels?
@@thomasshamp6031 165 80 15 15x5
What size tire on the front?
165 80 15
Just curious. What is the rim size and tire size for the front.?
Mark A 235 60 15 15x7
Any back spacing? Or is that only in the rear. Really appreciate it. I am about to order some rims for my 72.
Mark A not sure they are stock wheels
can it fit a 295
Dr Munchies not sure
ok thanks anyway
