I don’t have a CZcams channel bro I’ve been thinking about making one but not yet, heavy is good on my truck I can use the weight, with this 6.0 and electric pedal I lose my ass end in every corner hahahaha
Im building mine right now and looking at wheel and tire sizes. what is the wheel size in front including backspacing? and the tire size. By the way the wheels look great with the black top dont think chrome would have looked as good on this car
charles broyles I agree about the chrome! I have the wheel specs in the comments here it below from someone else asking it just won’t let me copy and paste them again from my phone :/
I'm also installing bigger disk brakes that require a 17in minimum rim....any idea if I can install a 19in without doing a mini tub.....nice look on the nova love the green and rims
Thanks! I see lots of people running 18's without issue.. I would imagine you could to 19 but maybe not go as low... I don't think mini tubs are really needed until you go wider in rear.
@@BillyFargon Thank you very much for replying I'm learning from all your videos I appreciate it 1st time doing this engine.... One last question if that's OK if I run through stock automatic transmission that comes with the engine do i have to cut the tunnel.. thanks
I don’t mind helping out. Mine is a 4l80e and it’s big but it required to tunnel mods when using the Holley swap stuff. I’m sure other swap stuff will work too but this was confirmed with Holley from the beginning. If you have a 4l60 you should have even more room to work with. So basically I think the only mods to tunnel are required when you run a manual trans in these cars
That looks awesome brother hey did the center cap come included or did you have to purchase separately..I want these wheels for 1973 c10 step side I want 15x12 rear and the thinnest ones I can get in the front
Abcdedghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz thanks! They did not come with center caps. You can find all the different sizes if you search “us wheels 68” on summit. They show the cap but not included. You can get the cap that they show but they are a total pain to you and sketchy the way they mount. I ended up getting bullet centers with bullet style lug buts that achieved the same look and a lot cheaper :)
Abcdedghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz it’s not letting me copy links from the summit app. Just go to summit racing.com and search the wheel model and it will have lots of different sizes. Super easy
I almost wanted to buy these same wheels from summit. Was worried about the backing space. Decided to hold off. Not sure how they would fit my car is lowered 5 inches in rear and about 4 in front.
AllThingsHelpful _ I’m not sure what my overall dimensions are for lowering since my car had sagging suspension before but in the front from floor to top of wheel well opening is 23-1/2.. is yours close?
Thank you :) wheel sizes are in the description and several times in the comments. You can take those numbers and google a tire size calculator and it will give you the overall dimensions of tires and then you can measure your car and see if they would work. I have no idea if they would fit your car :/
I’ll reserve judgement on the wheels until I can see the whole car on the ground with the new hood on. I like the black though, I think it works well with the green. What size tires are you running?
Fair enough :) I'm curious to see them on the ground too and be able to stand back and look. Although I have been looking at them for a couple days now and I am liking them more and more!
I know this is from a while ago After seeing these on your car I had to get a set for mine! Nice work on both your projects and your vlog! I saw the tire sizes and it looks like your running a smaller sidewall on the rears? 40 in the rear vs.45 in the front? Or did I miss something?
My 69 is probably about 2 inches lower than yours. I want to run a 18 inch rim out back. You said your rims are 9” wide with a 5” backspace. I’m thinking a 5.5 backspace to make sure it clears the quarter. Does that sound right after doing yours
1. I love that they are made in the us.
2. I love the wild look
I may be getting these for my sn95 5.0 mustang
Thank you :) I still love the only complaint is the weight.. they are heavy!
@@BillyFargon yeah and because of that I may go with the all black American racing VN501’s
I’ve been looking at those too! Get them and let me know how you like them
@@BillyFargon will do!
I love those wheels I was thinking of the same wheel for my 50 Chevy pickup, I just finished my 6.0 swap it’s a freaken beast!!!!!!
J P they would look sick on a 50! Be warned they are heavy! You have a link to s build thread? I would love to checkout your truck!

freakin awesomeee!!!! smoothies
I ain’t mad. Badass! Goes well with this car and I don’t see them on all the cars so YES,! Kickass!
Thank you! These wheels are very much part of the car now and would be hard to change them up. Only complaint is the weight. They are heavy!

Keep it real go steel 😀👌
i'm thinking of getting the us wheel smoothie 510s about same size for my black 86 monte ss.
I have been really happy with these. Only downside is the weight.

You have good taste, but I would recommend purchasing a set of “Good Year tires as white walls to match “
What!?!! White walls would be hideous!
Looks nice. I rather have black center caps. But thats just me. Love the car.
I would be curious to see black centers! Thank you!
I might be missing something...but if you got 17’s all around then what’s the reason they were 18.5” when you measured them?
Brayden Name I was measuring to the wrong spot. You can’t measure from out to out of lip it’s the barrel dim you want

Billy , what size wheel and tires are on the front what backspace?
Fronts are 17x8 (4-1/2") back space with 225/45/17, Rears are 17x9 (5") back space with 245/40/17. (24.7 t)
Rims are US Wheels, model 68
I like it
Henry Fuentes thanks Henry :)

What are your backspace measurements?
I think all info is in the video description
Those look cool! You should check out real steel cars. He has a cool Nova too! Love the old school stuff
DAD BOD thanks! Is that another CZcams channel? I will have to go look!
Some bad ass wheels Looking to order some for my 2011 Crown Vic who did you go through I called US wheels and they said I have to go through a vendor
I got mine through Summit Racing, and they arrived pretty fast :)
What size tire did you go with
Should be in comments and video description.
Also what tires are those?
Fronts are 17x8 (4-1/2") back space with 225/45/17, Rears are 17x9 (5") back space with 245/40/17.

I think I could squeeze out another 1/2” of back space. It wouldn’t be getting really close though!
Tire sizes please?
I don’t remember off the top of my head but I know it’s in the comments a few times :)
you have 7 and 8" wide rims
El 56 they are 17x8 fronts and 17x9 rears
They are not measured from the outside of the lip
El 56 I’m not basing the sizes off my measurement though. It’s how I bought them. Those particular sizes.
Those center caps are spendy
I think I paid like $100 for all 4. Realistically I think they should be cheaper :/
@@BillyFargon $65 on summit right now! Each!
I’m pretty sure these are the ones I got:

E D I know.. this build is shot :(
"Dig'm"
When do you want to get rid of that picker? Let's toss it in the back of my truck and ditch it!
I want to now! But I better wait till engine runs just in case :/
