I just ordered one in the red color, looking forward to getting it! The main reason I wanted one, The older cute girl only had a 12,000 BTU burner while this one has an 18000 BTU burner plus an extra 4000 BTUs with the center burner. The old one didn't work great with a griddle plate because it took too long to reheat for example when making smashburgers. I'm assuming this one should be much faster with almost double the BTU.
Thinking of replacing my current grill with this as i would love to have the portability. Think this would work well with a family of 4 who likes to grill 2 to 3 times a week?
Having owned the previous model I would say yes, it's perfect!. The main reason I bought the newer model is because it's capable of much higher heat and much lower temps because of that third burner. The higher temps will be nice when using a griddle plate, The lower temps will be nice for low and slow cooking.
