- You voted at 44% wanting to know how To make and start locs at home… and this is still, by far, my favorite way to do so. There’s obviously many different ways to go about this process. I’m sure if you’ve researched it you know what I mean… This is the most effective way I’ve found, and truly love the natural sectioning it creates for us. There’s a tool called a dead sponge, you’ll see it in the longer video I made for this🤣
Yes, this to the fact as I’m adhd as all get out and never been medicated . So I recorded and edited a video that is around 8 minutes long, with a ton of info in it!!! And it’s too long for this drop. So here’s a totally different one for you first.

Ah,the 90's... that revival of 60's energy and people starting their crazy dreads all kinds of ways. I like this technique *paired* with: a friend who can clearly see all areas of your head that you can't (to help make better sections) AND.... a crochet hook ;) If I had known about crochet 20 years ago, I would have started my dreads back then. The unpredictability, time, wonky hair and (oh god... wax and product) people were doing back then just did not appeal to me. But this is very nostalgic!
Bahaha! Yesss! And bar soap (instead of waxes or other product) salons were trying anything to make it a “clean style”🤣… thanks for the laugh
@@locdoctorfell like an Ivory bar, or my other fave.... dish soap. I am guilty of starting locs on one of my kids' friends many years ago with no real sectioning and some hair gel, just chaos (found out later too that she had lied about getting her mom's permission to start them). Ah, what we learn along the way. Still learning!
