Mine personal hair growth journey of success, I myself adhered to this routine:
Take morning sunshine every day for essential vitamin D. Consume veggies of various colors. Applying paraben and fragrance free shampoo and gently massaging twice a week with hair oil by litttleextra cooconion. Important to remember that hair growth is influenced by general health as well as circulation and nutrition.

In my youth and even into my 30s, I had such thick hair. Salon workers would curse at having to dry it because it would take so long. I knew my mother started losing her hair as she got older but thought it the result of harsh coloring and perms she would give herself. Started noticing my thinning hair a few years ago during a beach trip when I got a scalp burn from the sun - never happened before in my life. Now my part line is even more prominent, and I’ve noticed a large amount of hair loss during brushing and after showers…seems to be speeding up as I enter menopause. I’ve never been a vain person, but I admit this hurts.

I’ve suffered from androgenic alopecia since I was in my 30s , and I’ve learned to manage it somehow. I stopped using Rogaine a long time ago because it irritated my scalp, and it was just too pricey for me. Now, I just spray Rosemary water before bed just a day before washing my hair, and in the morning, I apply a combo of warm jojoba, grapeseed, and pumpkin seed oils infused in Rosemary leaves. I leave it on my scalp for about 20-30 minutes and wash my hair with herbatint normalizing shampoo, which I have found doesn’t make my hair fall out any further unlike other shampoos that have used. Also, nutrition has really helped, avoiding processed foods and drinking teas like tumeric/ginger. Fasting and hair massage is also supposed to help with the DHT. Once a week, I also apply a hair mask with avocado, onion, egg, and warm oils like pumpkin seed, olive, jojoba, grapeseed and some rosemary. I leave it for 30 min. them wash off. I follow by spraying my scalp with Rosemary water and leave it on my scalp until wash day. Also, dry shampoo has been helpful because it gives the illusion that your scalp has more hair than it does and doesn’t show that thinning spot. This is now my daily routine and it is very much worth it. I also heard PRP injections may help, but I haven’t tried that myself.

I am in my 30s and female. I have been losing my hair since my mid 20s. Fortunately it is a slow process. I have been diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia, however my hair loss is at the crown of my head. I have had the PRP treatment and it did not work for me. A doctor recommended a medication, I opted not to take it -- side effects. It seems so many treatments and medications are simply thrown at the problem to fix it, without really knowing the cause. I wish more research would be done for hair loss in women.

I had telogen effluvium last year brought on by a prescription change and it was one of the worst things that has ever happened to me. It went on for 14 months and was so crushing and defeating that I finally shaved it off and went around with a bald head instead of having disgusting dead hair all over me all the time. That was shockingly fun and freeing. It did finally stop falling and all grew back the way it was before. But I have nothing but sympathy and understanding for women who have hair thinning. It is a horrid thing to go through.

I know exactly what you mean about hair being all over your clothes, in your car, at work, etc. That's what wore me down to the point that I shaved mine. I couldn't stand to see the hair everywhere. And it's fine to ask, my prescription was a stimulant for ADHD but it was too strong for my system and blew all the hair to bits. I stopped taking the medicine as soon as I realized, but it still went on for a year. I know this doesn't help for me to say this right now, but if it's telogen effluvium, IT WILL STOP. Fast forward to perimenopause, very heavy irregular periods. Was told I had cystic ovaries I was put on BCP then @47 menopause and now a lot of hair shedding and thinning especially in the front and sides. Also had general anesthesia for 6 diff surgeries in the past few years, now have a lot of baby hairs. I take finasteride 1mg/day, biotin and use topical minoxidil also on HRT for bad hot flashes. My hair loss started with hypothyroidism and continues post-menopause. Nioxin and the new Paul Mitchell anti-thinning products do NOT work. Minoxidil works, woohoo! The Kirkland brand from Costco is the most affordable minoxidil. I still use the Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner but not the scalp treatment. The Nioxin shampoo and conditioner do help plump the hair but use a supplemental conditioner because Nioxin dries the hair.

Just turned 55. My hair was always my crowning glory and I never thought twice about FPB, mainly because my parents both had full heads of hair. I thought I had inherited the 'good hair gene' but over the last year, definite thinning. I'm having to comb over to disguise it and it is really bumming me out. I thought maybe it was the stress of the pandemic, but its following the female pattern at the front. I've got an appointment with my GP for a referral to a dermatologist next week. I just dont want to be made to feel shallow for my concerns. I have wrinkles and sagging skin which I can handle, but the hair loss is depressing. Ive read that Minoxidil can make the hair loss worse at first, is that true? I don't know if I could handle that, lol!

Pre-cancer ....I felt a few tiny very hard things on my scalp and tried unsuccessfully to flake them off with my finger nail. They felt like tiny bits of sand. When I went to the next visit with my physician I asked her what they were and she said, it's nothing, it's dandruff. I continued trying to flake them off without success. I went to a dermatologist and she did a biopsy which came back pre-cancer. Next visit with her she tried to remove them with nitrogen but that didn't work. I also told the doctor that I was losing LOTS of hair all over my head! The dermatologist retired so I made an appointment with a surgeon who did in-depth surgery and removed a large growth area, stitched it up and did another biopsy which still came back as pre-cancer. The surgery has left a significant area of indentation on my head and the surgeon told me he didn't get it all because it's allover my head. He sent me to a different dermatologist who also cut, scraped, cauterized and did something else to that area and set up another appointment three months later. Meanwhile, my hair loss over my entire head is so severe that it can't even hold a bobby pin! I do have a hypothyroid condition which I make medication for. I get it checked every three months and it's fine. I have a severe family estrangement situation which has had me anxious and stressed out for two years. Could this be why I'm having such severe hair loss? Sorry for the long post I'm just so upset! Thank you for your educational professional video's, Dr. Dray you're the best!!!

I didn't experience any hair loss until my mom got sick with breast cancer, then I've noticed a bald spot in the area behind my ear. But then it grew back but after my mom passed away I've noticed it's falling out more and more, just gobs of hair in the shower and this is why I hate washing it (but I have to, but not as often). I've tried everything and nothing seems to work. Sometimes it would seem to slow down but at this moment I would comb it and just gobs of shedding, I'm actually surprised that it's not worse than it is. It seems like it grows and falls out at the same time🤨

He put me on meds and my hair started to fall out, also it was a low dose and did only slightly improve the heart palpitations, fluctuating BP, and energy level. He referred me to an endichronologist and she set me on a periodic rise in the thyroid medication. I told her about the hair loss and she recommended Biotin so I started that. SIx weeks later I have lost about half my hair and it did start out shedding in the middle part area, but now is all over temples, crown, and back where it WAS thick. Ten years ago I had thick hair. Now I am faced with going to a dermatologist...how to get these three health professionsls to coordinate diagnosis and treatment of my hair loss concerns me and yes, I will take my thyroid lab results. So frustrating in that it seems treatment of one thing is exacerbating other issues...I am just so thankful I did not have this early in life. Been taking it for 6 weeks and am seeing hair everywhere it was missing. My scalp line is returning. What do you think? Is this due to styling or FMP? Thanks so much for answering my question, if you can. Oh, I should add that it started in the corners and spread back and down. I don't know if that makes sense or not? Corners of the sides of head, spread back and down. I'm guilty of bleaching and dying and heat styling a lot. I due occasionally get pimples, which I read an article about acne capillary. What've done recently is that I've started taking saw palmetto capsules, while it's only been a month I can say I've noticed a couple of thick hairs while showering and at first I was confused since I've never had hair thicker than a newborns' but after staring at it and seeing the color (I'm the only blonde at my place) I was sure it was mine. While my hair is still far from being okay seeing these changes is actually making me have a little bit of hope after most of my life crying over something I could no control nor understood why it was happening to me.

If your hair is in the early stages of thinning, those hair fibers that you apply to the scalp in thinning areas work great. They have all different brands, some work better than others, you should start trying them out and see if you can find a color or brand that works for you.

Happy Friday Andrea. Recently (past year) saw a dermatologist about my exclusive shedding, gave the same advice that you did. My hair shaft is coming in thinner. I was shown some of my hair shaft that is still heathy (thick) and how thin the new hair is now coming in. I took her advice and stopped dying my hair, avoid heat as much as possible. To prevent any more lost I have started Rogaine. It has slowed down the shedding a lot. Can't wait to hear about Rogaine. Question does prescription drugs or stress cause hair lost ? Thanks again 💕🌸💕

Hey Dr, I wanted to ask my hair has been falling out for a year and a half now my scalp is very itchy. I’ve had blood work and my doctor said I have low iron and Vitamin D but I’ve been taking pills for that and nothing’s changed. I’ve also used an antibiotic shampoo and nothings changed. My doctor also thought it might be psoriasis but when my doctor looked at my scalp she said it was help just a little dry skin. I’m 24 and really struggling with this, I’ve taken Omega 3, Iron, Vitamin C, Biotin And Vitamin D tablets plus my thyroid is also healthy. Used all different kinds of shampoos yet nothing is working. I’m even scared I might have cancer :( Please any ideas? Thank you

I started losing hair in the year 2012. I thought it was just normal. But I notice my hair keeps falling/shedding and as you can see in my picture, that is my full hair but now, I think it’s just 1/3 of my full hair. I had so many blood test to see my thyroid if it’s normal but twice it came back normal. I’m in my 40s and I’m eating a lot of veggies and started using romaine and even bought a Theradome, a helmet that enhances hair regrowth, bought hair supplements, changed my shampoo and talk to my doctor but he just said that it is normal. These days, I just work, go home and never got to lay down my hair because it doesn’t look nice. I’m losing confidence and it seems I’m the only one experiencing this in my family. I’m worried.

Started losing mine, so I started taking 10,000 MG of biotin. Wow.. My hair and fingernails really grew. I also tried hair and nails but that didn't work. I'm an older lady but never thought about losing my hair because my mom was 93 when she passed away and had a full head of hair. I don't know if this works for everyone but it sure works for me. Ohhh. I stopped taking it for a while and hair started thinning again so I guess you have to keep taking it, but it's just one a day. And, during the time I was noticing my hair being thinner, I changed my shampoo, also. I don't use shampoo with sulphates anymore. This was kinda strange at first because it's like using a conditioner. They don't lather. Good luck all. Ty for your videos. 🌷

I'm one of the women with no hormonal imbalance (I did all the blood tests, vitamins, thyroid, hirtuism etc). What can I do other than using Rogain? Your video is informative but you don't really give any solution to the problem of hair loss without any obvious cause. I find it frustrating and I got even angry at my dermatologist for not giving me an answer on why and what I can do, other than quick fix non sustainable solutions. I cancelled my second appointment as I found it a waste of time for him to just tell me how he feels sorry about me and how unfortunate I am.

No heat, no hair dyes, no perms, no tight hairstyles, try to eliminate stress.
