That if God exists, if Jesus-Christ is truly God, and if the Catholic Church despite all its flaws is the Church Jesus wanted... that all that may be revealed to you. If you're really open to truth, to beauty, to goodness... God can make his way to your heart and your intelligence!

Wow đ I feel so ashamed for my acts. Didnât realize how just the basic priorities are a huge deal and true. I havenât had God in the center of my life to be honest with you. I would say I was but in reality only fooling myself. I went ahead and started deleting and doing away the nonsense. Please I do want God in the center in my life. HE has proven to me many times in the past with miracles only he can do. Why strayed away for so long??? I know but too embarrassed to say đ but I will start today. God forgave my sins. Your videos and other Ascension presentations have now helped me to add God-centered media to my life. I was doing a search for something not so Godly and found this series by "accident" but of course, I now realize I was guided by the Holy Spirit! Peace and blessings!
This blew me away last night, and this morning I gave the first fruits of my time with the rosary and a one-to-one with The Father for half an hour. Looking forward to this every day, and becoming more aware of the first fruits of "my stuff" and the media I consume. Check-mark on the media here. :)
Wow. Fr. Mike is amazing. Am learning so much from him. Recently, I went shopping and bought clothes, etc. Then I had to go back to return some items. The store was just closing so I have to return to the store again. Wasted time and money. Very interesting that I watched this today. Need to rethink how I'm spending time and money...

the Lord is so beautiful endlessly in everything he does and is. I always go on about the Lord's beauty within his love and grace and kindness in my prayers. Everything I do I put him in and it is about him. It's as if I am in love with the creator of love. I do not even want selfish things for myself anymore. It's as if I want to give him everything. The freakish thing about this, Father Mike, is that the writings of the saints, the catechism and the bible and the Magisterium, as well as Tradition, all of those transform my mind into a state of total brutality and hatred of God, myself, and my neighbor- the exact *opposite* fruit that the Church Triumphant in their lies says will lead to peace; they lead to malice for neighbor- yet I will NEVER go for things opposed to them, it is only the things opposed to them that lead to true love of God, self, and neighbor as it turns out.
I enjoy your clips so much. I wish you could be my spiritual director. I had lapsed and returned about six months ago and have so many questions. Unfortunately, our rural parish only has 2 priest that serve 5 churches!
Ask if there are other qualified spiritual directors in your area. My parish is down to 2 churches and 1 pastor (we have an assistant pastor until the end of June), but there are two qualified lay spiritual directors that people can go to. Fr. Mike did a video on finding a spiritual director.

#askfrmike Even before watching your video, Is God The Center Of Your Life, I knew that for myself the honest answer to that question would be no, not even close. I want Him to be, but I'm struggling to make it so. I feel like I don't try hard enough. How can I make myself put God first and clear out everything in my life right now that keeps me from that?
Trying to make ourselves do something if our heart is not in it is tough, so I would say that we first need to focus on Loving Him. Only Love can give the strength and courage to put someone first. Only love can give the stregth to put someone before ourselves and our self interests. So I would say let us ask the Lord for the grace of Love, the grace to Love him above all things! The grace to Love as we are called to do. âAsk and you shall receiveâ. It is all grace, we cannot do it on our own!
@@omarrobles8383 I totally agree! And I want to add a little bit: ask God to reveal to you who he truely is, how he loves, how good he is. Experiencing his overwhelming goodness through reading the bible and contemplating it, listening to people testifying what god did in their lives, etc. This makes it SO attractive and natural to give him the priority. What also helps is to remind ourselves over and over again that our true happiness lies in him, and we cannot be truely fulfilled and satisfied by things of the world, that in the end we are made for his kingdom and not for the things that are important for the world. It may sound radical, but we are only guests here it is not our real home, we are in a journey towards the one who loves us to the full!!!!! God bless you!! (It is a journey, me, I am on my way too, so I do understand your struggles :) )
Your not alone Iâm going thru the exact same thing. Have faith, donât give up. I donât and filter out the negative and ignorants. They have a lot to say but really they donât have any idea whatâs going on in you. Your the one going thru it and itâs tough know what you feel when your in remorse is a good sign I think because it shows u have a conscience .... once you lose your conscience in things itâs over. I pray for those who lost their conscience only God can heal them. So stay positive donât give up have faith in yourself. This is what I going to do. Your not alone

These suggestions are a good place to start, but the Pharisees excelled in these things, and Christ said that unless our righteousness exceeds theirs we would not enter The Kingdom of God. I am currently reading a great little book by Johannes Baptist Metz called Poverty of Spirit. It is traumatizing me a bit, because to truly put God at the center of your life requires a painful self-emptying. And to truly put God at the center of your life, requires that in a very profound sense you abandon and forget the notion of "your life".
I think of God more in terms of the way Orthodox Christian theologian David Bentley Hart in his book, The Experience of God: Being, Consciousness, Bliss," describes Him. Many times though I have trouble reconciling that more nuanced and sophisticated vision of God with the God of the Bible, especially the God of the OT. The big disconnect for me isn't the harshness of the OT God, but his seemingly all too human pettiness. The explanation of Lucifer becoming Satan has never been satisfying to me. I'm surprised that it isn't a topic that is covered more. It has become necessary for me to approach the Bible in a less fundamentalist literal way, and in a more subtle and refined way. That said, I have "tasted and seen that God is good." I have personally briefly experienced God in a mystical way, and come to know that HE IS goodness, truth, and beauty Itself. He Himself is the fount of everything desirable. When such brief experiences pass and I am again pressed with the desires and passions of the carnal life, which have become woven into me, through my lifelong habitual practice of them, He asks me, "Will you leave too?" and in echoes of Peter, the inward reply of my heart is, "Where else is there to go?" Abandon God for the dreary boredom of this world, or the hope of annihilation? The carnal man does not want to die, and whatever malevolent entities that find their home in it don't want it to die either. Any panic, distress, or self-pity that comes as a result of self-emptying is just the carnal nature objecting, pleading, and resisting. This part of yourself will hate the True God, any genuinely regenerate part of yourself will hate the twisted representation of Him.
To Christ Himself at the present moment: money is useless: paving stones is the traditional view of how the Saints and God Himself see gold bars; so He would regard it as pointless. Why? Simple: no exchange rate between this life and the next. But how then would we use our finances to make Him the center of our lives? Well; barring immoral products being purchased, payment of our bills is just about first and foremost.

But he hated all these godsent Mexican movements in Arizona in his name in our4 church. They describe him as a cook who was just about a homeless person living in the street. I am sorry,but there are lots of Heroin Addicts who are homeless living in the streets too cause they prefer to. Our church is as my dad told me right before he died. He was 86 years old. He had a pacemaker. Her climbed a step ladder,and I yelled at him for it, to fix something . He pointed his finger at me and said,"Our church is on the road to perdition from the top to the bottom. I cant even say I believe in the sacrament of colnfession with how evil. JHust remember your grAndfather,Father Mooney, and you will be with me in Heaven. Dont6 jump to help them. Yhey chose their paths."
Question, if anyone can't complete you, what makes you think that God can? Because we are told that the idea of your partner completing you is false. Why must you put God the center of everything? I'm resistant to this idea. I was raised in a catholic family but putting God above all is not part of my daily life. Why is it that to be a good Christian you must love him above anyone? I love my family more that anyone else. They are my flesh and blood and this includes my partner and my furry children of 4 legs. (Pets). They are far more important. In my eyes is not fair. Why he must be more important than my parents that gave me life? What about my partner in life who is there with me everyday and help me become the better version of myself. This thing has never ever made it through in my head. Also I don't like going to Church because of all the eyes judging me. Why must I go to Church in order to be a good person? If I don't is a sin. Mass has never ever been insteresting. I never understood what they say at church. Think of it as going to a Foreign language class and you only speak English. If Church were like this videos I would have paid more attention to it. But till this day I haven't gone to Church since I was 15 years old after my mom made me do my confirmation.
Ascension Presents are you of Irish heritage? I reckon you are.........anyway what about the old testament where God DEMANDS not only 'first fruits' but people's first born son as a sacrifice to him! Hi! I would recommend listening to Scott Hahn's series on "The Prophets". He goes though in amazing detail the move from the Mosaic Covenant and the Torah for Israel to the Davidic Covenant and the Torah of adam. Going from Sinai to Zion; restoring the 12 tribes to the gentiles. Going from uniting one nation to God to "all the nations", which must be the progression from the old to the new. The new must always be greater than the old. I have the CD set from the Augustine Institute. Should be easy to find. God Bless!
EMM MOO I'm not sure but I think God required first born sons to be consecrated to him, not sacrificed. Consecration is like a dedication to God which is a good thing. It illustrates how we as Christians should consecrate our lives. It's only Abraham that he asked to sacrifice his son, first to test his heart and also as an illustration of what God will later do ie sacrifice his only begotten son for the salvation of man.

Trying to make ourselves do something if our heart is not in it is tough, so I would say that we first need to focus on Loving Him. Only Love can give the strength and courage to put someone first. Only love can give the stregth to put someone before ourselves and our self interests. So I would say let us ask the Lord for the grace of Love, the grace to Love him above all things! The grace to Love as we are called to do. âAsk and you shall receiveâ. It is all grace, we cannot do it on our own!
@@omarrobles8383 I totally agree! And I want to add a little bit: ask God to reveal to you who he truely is, how he loves, how good he is. Experiencing his overwhelming goodness through reading the bible and contemplating it, listening to people testifying what god did in their lives, etc. This makes it SO attractive and natural to give him the priority. What also helps is to remind ourselves over and over again that our true happiness lies in him, and we cannot be truely fulfilled and satisfied by things of the world, that in the end we are made for his kingdom and not for the things that are important for the world. It may sound radical, but we are only guests here it is not our real home, we are in a journey towards the one who loves us to the full!!!!! God bless you!! Your not alone Iâm going thru the exact same thing. Have faith, donât give up. I donât and filter out the negative and ignorants. They have a lot to say but really they donât have any idea whatâs going on in you. Your the one going thru it and itâs tough know what you feel when your in remorse is a good sign I think because it shows u have a conscience .... once you lose your conscience in things itâs over. I pray for those who lost their conscience only God can heal them. So stay positive donât give up have faith in yourself. This is what I going to do. Your not alone

These suggestions are a good place to start, but the Pharisees excelled in these things, and Christ said that unless our righteousness exceeds theirs we would not enter The Kingdom of God. I am currently reading a great little book by Johannes Baptist Metz called Poverty of Spirit. It is traumatizing me a bit, because to truly put God at the center of your life requires a painful self-emptying. And to truly put God at the center of your life, requires that in a very profound sense you abandon and forget the notion of "your life".
I think of God more in terms of the way Orthodox Christian theologian David Bentley Hart in his book, The Experience of God: Being, Consciousness, Bliss," describes Him. Many times though I have trouble reconciling that more nuanced and sophisticated vision of God with the God of the Bible, especially the God of the OT. The big disconnect for me isn't the harshness of the OT God, but his seemingly all too human pettiness. The explanation of Lucifer becoming Satan has never been satisfying to me. I'm surprised that it isn't a topic that is covered more. It has become necessary for me to approach the Bible in a less fundamentalist literal way, and in a more subtle and refined way.
That said, I have "tasted and seen that God is good." I have personally briefly experienced God in a mystical way, and come to know that HE IS goodness, truth, and beauty Itself. He Himself is the fount of everything desirable. When such brief experiences pass and I am again pressed with the desires and passions of the carnal life, which have become woven into me, through my lifelong habitual practice of them, He asks me, "Will you leave too?" and in echoes of Peter, the inward reply of my heart is, "Where else is there to go?" Abandon God for the dreary boredom of this world, or the hope of annihilation?
The carnal man does not want to die, and whatever malevolent entities that find their home in it don't want it to die either. Any panic, distress, or self-pity that comes as a result of self-emptying is just the carnal nature objecting, pleading, and resisting. This part of yourself will hate the True God, any genuinely regenerate part of yourself will hate the twisted representation of Him.

Question, if anyone can't complete you, what makes you think that God can? Because we are told that the idea of your partner completing you is false. Why must you put God the center of everything? I'm resistant to this idea. I was raised in a catholic family but putting God above all is not part of my daily life. Why is it that to be a good Christian you must love him above anyone? I love my family more that anyone else. They are my flesh and blood and this includes my partner and my furry children of 4 legs. (Pets). They are far more important. In my eyes is not fair. Why he must be more important than my parents that gave me life? What about my partner in life who is there with me everyday and help me become the better version of myself. This thing has never ever made it through in my head. Also I don't like going to Church because of all the eyes judging me. Why must I go to Church in order to be a good person? If I don't is a sin. Mass has never ever been insteresting. I never understood what they say at church. Think of it as going to a Foreign language class and you only speak English. If Church were like this videos I would have paid more attention to it. But till this day I haven't gone to Church since I was 15 years old after my mom made me do my confirmation.

Hi! I would recommend listening to Scott Hahn's series on "The Prophets". He goes though in amazing detail the move from the Mosaic Covenant and the Torah for Israel to the Davidic Covenant and the Torah of adam. Going from Sinai to Zion; restoring the 12 tribes to the gentiles. Going from uniting one nation to God to "all the nations", which must be the progression from the old to the new. The new must always be greater than the old. I have the CD set from the Augustine Institute. Should be easy to find. God Bless!
EMM MOO I'm not sure but I think God required first born sons to be consecrated to him, not sacrificed. Consecration is like a dedication to God which is a good thing. It illustrates how we as Christians should consecrate our lives. It's only Abraham that he asked to sacrifice his son, first to test his heart and also as an illustration of what God will later do ie sacrifice his only begotten son for the salvation of man.
