I completely agree with your points! I suffer from several mental illnesses, and the example that my therapist uses is that if someone broke their leg, you wouldn't ignore it and tell them it's "not real" so why do it with mental illness! Well done for speaking out about it :)

Its crazy how tapping into the subconscious mind can change your life....do people cry during hypnotherapy? Or say things?

I also go to therapy and this video was so helpful. There are things that I haven't told my therapist about but I hope I will be brave enough to talk about them soon. I think it's amazing that you're racing awareness about mental health. Thank you so much for these tips xx

Well done for taking the step to going in the first place, it's a really brave thing to do. It's scary opening up about certain things you want to keep to yourself but you can do it, having the courage to go to a therapist means you also have the courage somewhere in you to talk about that stuff. Don't put pressure on yourself though, you'll know when you're ready xx

But just because it didnt work out for me doesnt mean you guys shouldn't try. Life is about experiencing new things . Try it and see it for yourself. Sending love ❤

Cute puppies! This video was great, I've been on the fence about making a video about my experiences with mental illness too, I don't know how you don't have more subscribers!

Aw thank you :) I think you have to decide whether or not you're ready to put the most personal parts of yourself/your life on the Internet and be ready for any response. It definitely feels good to possibly help others and spread knowledge about this kind of stuff, and you can decide how much you give away in the video :) but I'd say don't do it unless you're 100% sure xx

I'm going to go to my doctor next week to talk to him about getting therapy and medication. I feel like I can relate to a lot of the concerns you had.
I just feel tired of this. I don't even know what it is but I know it's not right.

    • @LilyHarper7

I know exactly how you feel, it's exhausting and frustrating when you can't understand or control your own thoughts or feelings. But well done for going to your doctor, it's the first step in taking control. I really hope it works out for you and things get better, and remember you're not alone x

I am an avid #MentalHealthAwareness advocate and performer, and I love this so much. I travel the country trying to bring that awareness on stages, in classrooms, hospitals, and on my CZcams channel, so I get excited when I see other advocates. 💙❤

Excellent video ❤️ very well spoken and thank you for shedding light on the stigma of mental health. So tired of hearing people say this isn’t real and to “just get over it.” You’re correct when you say people are not educated with mental health. They may be educated to a certain extent, but cannot relate. It’s easy to sit and judge and on the opposite end of the spectrum, write a prescription, without truly knowing exactly what someone is going through. Our minds can be our own worst enemy. I have not done hypnotherapy as of yet but I look forward to trying it. I figure if I can change hthe way i think, I can change my anxiety and phobias
    . Goodnight I î

So glad you liked the video. I can't recommend hypnotherapy enough, but getting any form of help is a great achievement :) good luck.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Lily. I'm so glad you are feeling better now, especially after only four sessions. I have had great results from hypnotherapy recordings and am researching one on one treatment options now. It sounds like your therapist focused more on hypnotherapy than CBT, would you say? Can you say more about how they incorporated CBT?
Also, as a US viewer, it was wild to hear you describe going to therapy as something easy a person could just get up and do. You can't imagine how valuable it is to have the NHS as an option, even if you opt for private care. Here in the US, we have millions of people going into debt, going bankrupt, and dying because they can't afford healthcare. To any viewers who have access to therapy and are on the fence about going, please take advantage of your access. So many do not have it.

It's unusual for people to have spontaneous amnesia and extreme time distortion like you described. You might be highly hypnotizable. I'm just like you. 10 minutes feels like 1 second to me. Also, you said you felt like crap, but that was after talk therapy, not hypnosis, right? People usually feel really good after hypnosis.
