    After the weatherproof connection is put together is the wire long enough to go to the buss bar ? I don’t have the tip out window .

      @BaznastyDave  Před 2 měsíci

      The plug has about 6 inch leads on either side of the plug. Just extend the wires to wherever you want it to get power. I grounded mine on the roll cage bolt in the cab and have the constant and switched hot going to the front to get power.

    The rubber washer that u put on the i side of the windshield (closest to wiper motor) did u cut that in half or just put the whole thing in the inside? Normally on and escape that acts as a grommet so its both inside and out side the windshield.

      @BaznastyDave  Před 11 dny

      @@heiner921 just like the video shows. The outside of the windshield does not have any washers, just the nut.

    When the wiper is stopped and then makes the 180 sweep how wide is that from one side of the winow to the other. Trying to figure out if this will work for my rzr turbo r or not.

    • @BaznastyDave
      @BaznastyDave  Před 3 měsíci +1

      From the center of the wiper shaft to the end of the wiper blade it is 19.5". So, it has a 39" sweep. If you wanted more or less sweep then you can just get a shorter or longer wiper blade.

    Did you have to hook up a relay I’m new to the wiring of these things and I’m using a pulse bar plug but it won’t shut off

    • @BaznastyDave
      @BaznastyDave  Před 5 měsíci +1

      The pulse bar is effectively a large 40amp relay. The pulse bar plug will have 3 wires. A ground, a constant hot, and a switched hot. The red wiper motor wire will go from the motor, through your on/off wiper switch, and into the switched hot on the pulse bar. The black motor wire will go to any ground/negative. The white motor wire will go to the switched hot on the pulse bar. Anytime the key to the SXS is off, there is no power to any wires. Anytime the key is on, the motors white wire will have power and the red wire will only have power when you flip the on/off switch.

    Looks great! Thanks. How do you like the windshield? Did it install well and would you buy it again?

    • @BaznastyDave
      @BaznastyDave  Před 7 měsíci

      I had a flip up SATV which was fine but it scratched easily and the struts were kind of weak. I made a poll on a FB General group about how many people had a glass windshield vs how many have them and they cracked. The results of the poll were about 93% voted they had a glass windshield and loved it, no issues. So I bought it. Best thing ever and no scratches! It has more viewable area than the SATV. I did put some stick on soft door molding on the frame where it seals due to some gaps but now it seals well and I wouldn't have anything other than a glass windshield.

    Great video. What is the wiper arm and blade you used?

    Is there reason most people are using escape wiper or can you use pretty much any rear wiper.My neck of the woods lot of suv's no escapes.

    • @BaznastyDave
      @BaznastyDave  Před 7 měsíci

      The Escape wiper is cheap to buy, only 3 wires to wire up, and has a 180* sweep. A lot of wipers don't sweep a full 180 degrees of movement.

    How did you wire up the switch? I bought the same switch and want to make sure I wire it up right. Got a ranger with this wiper washer then I bought a washer tank too. Working on installing mine now

    • @BaznastyDave
      @BaznastyDave  Před 9 měsíci

      Hey bud, if you look at the 5th picture on Amazon of that switch it shows how to wire it. "light 1" and "light 2" are the wiper motor and sprayer motor trigger wires/hot wires.

    • @ss454gm
      @ss454gm Před 9 měsíci

      Yea that’s what was throwing me off was where it said light 1 and light 2 wires. You didn’t do a key on hot and then a continuous hot wire

    • @ss454gm
      @ss454gm Před 9 měsíci

      I’m going to run my wires to my power box under hood on my ranger and to switch

    • @BaznastyDave
      @BaznastyDave  Před 9 měsíci

      I put a relay in that activates the power to the switch when the key is on. So no power goes to any switch unless the key is on.

    Did the old motor originally have the welded tab? Or is that something you had added when you first installed the wiper motor that is now bad?
    TY!

    • @BaznastyDave
      @BaznastyDave  Před 8 měsíci +1

      No, I welded the tab on the old case. The old motor got wet and shorted out so I ordered a new motor and swapped the old case to the new motor. I welded the tab and nut on so I could just use 1 bolt through the front of the windshield. You don't need to weld the tab on. You could probably use the cases rubber grommet hole somehow to keep the motor stable by using a big washer and bolt/nut. I put the tab on so the bolt hole aligned with the factory dimple in the windshield. The windshield came with a little dimple in the plastic where it's supposed to be drilled out. Without adding the tab to the motor case, the mount on the motor didn't align with the dimple spot on the windshield.
