Polaris General windshield wiper for under 50 bucks!!

I have been wanting to do this for awhile, but couldn't find a good video. I found a few but not with a complete run down. This wiper would really work with any side by side with some modifications. It works great.

I went and bought the harness, wiper motor, arm, and the plastic cover from junkyard today. Now just have to wait for new machine to come into the dealership ordered a 2021 xp with ride command and the same windshield. Thanks for the great video

How did you attach pulse plug and how did you attach deutsch plug to wiper motor wires? I’ve got all the stuff just trying to figure that out

I’m trying to do this same setup. I have the same harness. My bus bar plug has 3 wires. Black blue and red. Which wires connect to the black and red from the harness? Also my wiper motor has red white & black wires my deutsch plug has black red what connects to what? Please and thank you. Great video.

Did you say you drilled a 3/4 inch hole for the motor shaft? Did you use the grommet too?

having the inside of the wiper ride on the plastic part, youre going to miss a lot of the upper part of the windshield. Youd be best off getting a longer wiper arm and using a smaller blade. Looks great.

@@jhmotorsports7692 is the plastic area flush with the glass? Im assuming it isnt (i dont own a general, ive got a ranger and dont have polaris glass). If its not flush, once youre tryinging to clear rain/snow/dirt/mud youll see a small area where the wiper isnt clearing. If it is flush, ignore my comment. lol.

If I understood you correctly you used a 14 inch wiper blade ? I’m asking this because even if I extend the wiper arm it would only be about 11 1/4 inch long arm that is because the blade is about 10inch long that came on it . Thanks

Ok thanks that’s probably what this one was but it’s in rough shape. And you just extended the wiper arm 1-1/4 inch longer

Hey dude i was going through this old vid because after a U.P trip last weekend with all the rain MI got i realized i need a wiper. There's tons of kits on amazon but they're all 90 degree sweeps. Is that a 180 degree swip? A 90 would do a quarter of the driver side lol TIA

@@jhmotorsports7692thanks, I'll have to look into it more and see if there's limiters on them before i order. Polaris is out there mind charging 600 😂. Your wiper does a full 180 because it was on the back of an explorer which has to wipe the whole back window. Makes sense

What part did you get to plug into the Polaris bus bar, also the switch that you bought separately, is it the same size for the standard cutout?

Bought the bud bar plugs off Amazon and the switch fits in the standard dash slots.

Does the blazer wiring kit come with a plug to wire to the motor or did you have to buy that separate ?

Save the headache and just buy one thats made to go right in and work properly. Sometimes saving a buck isn't worth the headache.
