The reason of this critisicm is that for bringing Veer Savarkar to light, conscious effort were made in recent time to suppress other leader like Gandhi and Nehru.
Why these people can develop respect of all of them? Pleople will accept it. But recent politics and films are doing division and damage to one leader to bring other in light.

I had tears in my eyes 2 times while watching the movie.
1. When #Savarkar shown walking through the #Andamanjail passage and in the background #VandeMataram #song was played.
2. When his wife and brother came to see him in jail. The dialogue goes as, "हमारा १ परिवार देश के लिये बलिदान होगा, पर देश के हजारो परिवार आझादी कि खुली सांस तो ले सकेंगे."
Not going to lie, these 2 scenes made me cry for minutes. What a movie. Veer Savarkar ji deserves this kind of worldwide portrayal.

There’s no doubt that he studied Savarkar in depth to portray a man with such rare intelligence. From being a young college student to a man in his ripe age of 80 … that’s a vast canvas for an actor. And Randip Hooda very subtly paints those different shades in front of you.
I would be surprised if he doesn’t win the National Award for this. 🇮🇳🙏

But the way BJP is promoting him as the only freedom fighter; leaving behind Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru, Chafekar bandhu,Chandrasheskhar Azad, Subjash chandra Bose ji, Ashphaq ullah Khan and other great great freedom fighters is disgusting not only to Sawarkar's legacy but also image of Bharat as 'Unity in Diversity'.

"As a beacon of courage, he will forever be a symbol of India's relentless fight for justice and liberty... Subhash Chandra Bose marvelous statue installed at Kartavya path, India Gate. The statue was sculpted by Mysuru-based renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj. Earlier King George V status was mocking Indians at the same place for over many decades.

Watch the movie n then read n research the parts that you feel may not be true. That is how you broaden your perspective, not by blindly believing in narratives. Understand the ideology from the correct source not the opposite side. You may agree with the ideology or disagree but without knowing the real ideology how can you disagree with it.
