This is by far the best performance I have seen from this intense and versatile actor. Hooda has literally put all he’s got into playing Veer Savarkar. His sincere efforts mesmerise you. There’s no doubt that he studied Savarkar in depth to portray a man with such rare intelligence. From being a young college student to a man in his ripe age of 80 … that’s a vast canvas for an actor. And Randip Hooda very subtly paints those different shades in front of you. I would be surprised if he doesn’t win the National Award for this. 🇮🇳🙏
I had tears in my eyes 2 times while watching the movie.
1. When #Savarkar shown walking through the #Andamanjail passage and in the background #VandeMataram #song was played.
2. When his wife and brother came to see him in jail. The dialogue goes as, "हमारा १ परिवार देश के लिये बलिदान होगा, पर देश के हजारो परिवार आझादी कि खुली सांस तो ले सकेंगे."
Not going to lie, these 2 scenes made me cry for minutes. What a movie. Veer Savarkar ji deserves this kind of worldwide portrayal.

I had as a young man had contributed Rs 1000/ a very big sum for me at that time for making this film as the Great Sudhir Phadke a big name as singer had appealed for help. to make the Film. Knowing Savarkar's Great Role and personally very lucky to hear his lecture at Dadar, during Vasant Vyakhan mala, l gave my small donation.
I got two tickets on priority basis to see the picture at Dadar's Plaza Talkues.
One parsi gentleman was sitting next to me, he was following marathi picture well,
but was unaware of Savarkar as a personality since it was always hidden by Congress Party as a matter of strategy to show congress and congressmen as only freedom fighters who brought the Independence to India.
Every time the Parsi Gentleman was getting astonished to see Savarkar in various forms and Action and asking me was it true I told him whatever is shown is absolutely History.. When it was shown that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose had come to see Savarkar, he got excited. He asked me if it was True. I said Absolutely True.
After the picture he said that the Congress Party has hidden a great personality and his role in freedom movement., not only that they managed to tarnish his image by making him accused in Mahatma Gandhi Murder Case.He was also astonished to know about the extreem sacrifices of Savarkar Brothers.
Now idiotic Pappus and Taklayas are doing the same after so many years to do their politics as they know Savarkar name has a Golden Ring and on that they can make money, These idiots and rascals

Sh.Randeep Hooda has done an urgent and remarkable work and performed his national duty well by bringing Savarkar's character on the celluloid canvas and made our present generation known this super national martyr known thoroughly. The entire nation is indebted to Sh Hooda for this endeavour..It is our tribute to that unsung and unknown warrior who suffered emmensly,silently for years without any reward for the glorification of our dear motherland.
Best film I have ever seen in my life is this movie. As a critic, I can't even criticize one single thing. I have been waiting for this movie since a year. I cried like a baby when Veer Savarkar ji was being tortured. To those who didn't like this movie, Bandar kya jaane adrak ka swaad.

I have watched the film, well made. Only other I watched on Savarkar some 20y back but that was not dramatised. Hooda did that now and well made. I felt humour quitient of VS also could have been explored. All in all this movie is for all filmi lovers regardless of what they think of VS and from wing they have bias for.

Hey ranveer.. keeping the sawarkar topic aside for while ..as you mentioned the curiosity of your doing podcast.. i want to share a small thing .that I was in ninth std currently completed 12th I saw your vdo it said today's teen something I don't don't remember clearly but I was so inspired by your content you put in that vdo.. later I just letter I just found out that you are something different from all other creators some of the following their passions like singing dancing and all but that's not mine what I felt more familiar about about your dreams the dreams you have the same as mine you have .the same my dad always said said that he had friends who were elder than him so he used to listen the conversations everyday and he just got many knowledge many experience through it and the person he is now I am also inspired by my dad so much he said that just by listening little conversation you don't even have to ask them about their life you just have to do a conversation you will just get every answer to your questions and while listening to your podcast literally I am a teenager and I don't see people at my age listening to this podcast they scroll the reels and I'm so proud that have chose you as my idol I am so thankful to God that because the seed of a dream the dream to sit in front of you and have a long conversation about life dreams teenage n all.. Veer Savarkar was not getting pension from the British, what he getting was Detention Allowances after being released from Kalla Panni in 1924. It was 60 pound a month and it was right of every kala paani prisoners to get this allowances according to British law for their livelihood.

पुरी फिल्म झूठ पर बेस है. ऐसी फिल्म फेल होना हि अच्छा है. गधे को घोडा बनाने की कोशिश करी जा रही थी.
माफिविर को उचा दिखाने के लिए, गांधीजी को नीचा दाखाना जरूरी नही था.
Infact जिन सुभाषचंद्र बोस का नाम लेकर सावरकर को डिफेन्ड किया जा रहा था, उनके पोते ने भी रनदिप हुड्डा को चाटा लगाया.
फिल्म मे कहा गया है " गांधी नही होते तो भारत 35 हाल पहले आझाद हो जाता.
तो फिर 1912 मे भारत आझाद क्यो नही हुआ, सावरकर तो उस वक्त भारत मे थे, गांधीजी तो भारत मे थे भी नही, वो दक्षिण आफ्रिका मे थे.
जिनका कोई इतिहास नही होता, वो दुसरो का इतिहास मिटाते है.
