@@NaeroK87 yeah $650 for that Turtles In Time is tough even with the WiFi. They should have added a couple more games to it on top of the 2 turtles games.

Definitely the coolest countercade in my opinion, I also love this series so I'm a little bias. Another great review, also did you hear about the marvel head to head table. That looks so dope although I just bought the cabinet so I won't be picking it up, also don't have room for it. Looking forward to more reviews and tours of yours!!

I missed out on the Marvel Super Heroes cab and the punisher is one of my favorite beat em ups! I will definitely be looking to get this one for sure!

Thanks for the video. Though I would have liked to see how two full sized adults would fit around playing it. As the main reason I won't be buying this nor any of the other 1UP arcade cabinets, is the form factor. Not everyone lives in a studio apartment and DOES have space for multiple full sized cabinets.

I haven’t bought any Arcade1ups in awhile. That Marvel countercade looks really good for a bartop type thang. Your arcade room looks absolutely killer. Add pizza and beer and just never leave lol.

Has anyone tried mounting these on a wall with a small tv mount/bracket? Seems like the direction I want to go in for my garage gameroom. I’m only worried the backing of the system won’t hold up.

Great review! Definitely the countercade I'd want to purchase out of all of them and it certainly has the best game lineup. Not sure if you mentioned here, but I believe you said on UC's stream that it will save your high score as well?
P.S. I believe you also mentioned the Class of '81 cab on the UC stream and I personally feel I will actually get that cab before I get Big Blue because I really want to play Galaga '88 and some of the other games on there. It's a tough choice, but a lot of the BB games can be played on console and at least I know Galaga '88 is a little tougher to come by especially with that arcade perfect look and feel. Simpsons and X-men will definitely come first, though...

I recently bought this on amazon yesterday,i saw mk and nba jam and i saw this cade and it has more variety then what nba and mk had.Cannot wait to recieve the countercade.Plus it helps out with space in households.And its portable to go on trips as well and thats a huge plus.Miss playing x men vs street fighter in the arcades.I may spill some soda stains and sticky bubblegum in my bedroom carpet just to get that arcade vibe again lol.
The Marvel Super Heroes countercade is definitely my favorite of all those. I agree that it’s got great game variety - some all-time great fighting games and also one of my favorite beat’em ups in The Punisher. Great pickup!!

This is a pretty cool form factor... Nice that it has a practically full size joystick but I can't see getting them to play seriously or even practice with the tiny screen and viewing angle. Also the lack of online play is kind of interesting because it's a huge missed opportunity to increase the online userbase (and value) of all of their cabs from having people interested enough in these games/IPs to buy these.
Yeah I really wish these 2 player countercades had the online play especially at this price point. A larger screen would have been nice too. Overall though, it’s a pretty good product I think from A1UP.

I thought $229. was too much too until now when I just finished building a miniature 3d printed arcade machine with 1 player without the lights in the maruee yet and it came out to $220. Once I get the lights it will probably cost more. Although I have seen the countercades on sale for less than $200. I have no clue how they got the original arcade machines down to $300 and less. I wish I caved and bought one back then.
Yeah I definitely think these new 2 player countercades are worth a $200 price tag. I’m really liking the new screens they used and the light up marquee. I just wished they had WiFi on there. Overall they are awesome though. 👍
Wish they had MVC2 instead of Punisher or better yet Marvel vs Street Fighter.

I’ve been debating on getting this, considering that Punisher hasn’t really been accessible until recently. Also I recall that Marvel Super Hero’s homeports weren’t arcade perfect. Seeing this in action, I may get one soon.
This countercade is pretty awesome, I highly recommend it with the collection of games included on it. It’s by far my favorite countercade A1UP has done so far.

Looks real freaking cool, dunno why they added punisher game, guess is ok, but would have been a lot better to add a similar game like x-men children of the atom, that would have a dream line up.

Another great review Jason! One question: is there any chance of 2 people - even kids - being able to fit around this thing? B/C if not, I think they'd have been better off centering a single set of controls....
Thanks brother! It’s super tight with two adults. Both have to sit off to the side and the control deck is extremely crowded lol. I agree they should have centered a single set of controls and used that cost of the second set of controls on a WiFi antenna to make it online play.
Do you think two 10 year old kids could comfortably play it, or simply no go as a 2 player game period?

You're reviews are excellent! Curious what the PCB on this one looks like. Best games list of all the Marvel cabinets so far and it's a shame it's exclusive to a countercade. I do collect the countercades, but these have too large of a foot print for my desk with the 2 player control decks.

A Konami Legacy would be a cab I would definitely get. I was thinking earlier even if they did a Sunset Riders cab loaded with a bunch of beat’em ups would be cool.
I like these counter cades but the screens are too small and the players need to be spread out further
Yeah it’s definitely pretty tight getting two people playing against each other on there. Overall though I really like the countercades.
I have the 3/4 scale marvel limited edition like you, thinking about getting this for the pcb to put into the limited edition for the 2 extra games

I came close to grabbing one this weekend with the $179 price drop. I suppose since I have the MCV2 preordered though it would really just be for punisher.
I think that Marvel countercade is the best one they’ve done so far. The Punisher is an all-time classic and the other games are great even though those will be on the MVC2 cab. $179 is a good price for it I think.
Another quick question, I am planning on selling my streetfighter 2 table, what cab do you suggest if all I have is StarWars if I sell it?
I would go with the new Street Fighter Big Blue cab. It’s definitely my favorite of everything A1UP has done so far. 12 great games that all have online play. It would look great next to your Star Wars.
Can it be swapped with Sanwa buttons and stick? And have you tried hook it up with any fighting stick and see if that works with the usb? Nevertheless, thank you for reviewing this!
Thanks for checking out the video T T! There’s Sanwa plug and play sticks & buttons available for the Arcade1ups, I’m pretty sure they would fit into these smaller countercsdes also. I haven’t tried experimenting with a fighting stick, that would be pretty cool if it worked. 👍
Are countercades even worth it? Or is it better to get the full size machines
The full size ones are much better but if you don’t have the space or if you just want something for your bar counter or desk, these are really cool.

Marvel vs Capcom was the better version imo on Sega Saturn. It had a controversial extra Japan only character Norinamu. I just ordered one from Best Buy for $149.99. I can’t wait to play it. I do own the Japanese versions of Sega Saturn games.
That Sega Saturn version is great. That system pumped out so many good games. $149.99 is an amazing deal for this countercade. Great pickup 👍

Great review. But I cannot get behind the price point. Maybe for 100 bucks, not 300. The screen is too small and the joystick and buttons are bad quality. I've seen some great mods, but again for 300 not worth it to me. I paid 300 for the first gen street fighter that burned out in 8 months. Then I had no choice but to mod it. But hey, it what it means to you and no one else.
