Our generation was the greatest, Kids today don't realize how good we really had it with arcades.
Bro Chuck E Cheeses is such a joke now but when I went their in nineties it was lit af Sega sit down arcade machines, virtual reality golf, REAL robot animals that sang the Chuck E Cheeses theme song man those were the days.
Just took my son to the arcade for the first time, I have a descent spot by my place which is cool, reminded me of all the days I spent at the arcade it was so great, they had a new turtles 4player arcade, it was cool but it wasn't like the original

We were picking at the corners to make sure we got it all and didn't see or feel anything more to peel but I just checked again with the company and you are right! 😱 Both sides have a film. Well boy do I feel shell shocked.
@@BridgetCarey dont feel bad.....I threw out the first two that came with the Mortal Kombat and Final Fight I bought because I thought it was just to protect it during shipping....luckily I knew what to do with the Turtles one
Damn yes that really bothered me. What a newbie.
Ha was about to say the same thing. I built mine and noticed that it was a bit cloudy looking. There are no obvious places to start peeling the film away so you have to use whatever fingernails you have (or don't have) and work at it for a while.

Picked one up from Walmart for “my son” for Christmas. So I got away with it by telling the wife it’s a gift for our son, but sadly that means it has to wait until Christmas before we play it

FireTiger941 I dunno man, I’ve watched a few assembly videos now and a friend offered to come help on Christmas Eve night. We were going to assemble it that night so my son wakes up to it on besides the tree and presents.

The timing of this video is perfect. I’ve been on a nostalgia kick lately and looked up how much a cabinet of the original TMNT arcade game would cost. After deciding I wasn’t willing to shell out a down payment on a car, this option is appealing. Your review just “sold” it for me.
This video brought happy tears to my eyes. I automatically became 9 or 10 years old again at the arcade when I saw this video. You are such a cool woman and I love anchovies on my pizza/ am shocked to see someone else will eat it also. Thumbs up on this video. You rock girl!

Leonardo all the way. We always went to Kennywood outside of Pittsburgh PA. I always remember running to the arcade when we passed it to play this. I would beg my parents for quarters to play all the time. Just moved into a new home, and this is a piece that is awesome to have!

I'm a huge TMNT fan and this is a must have. So many memories playing this at the arcades.
Oh my toes, my toes! This arcade TMNT turtles in time and WWF wrestlefest were my favorites growing up.
My Childhood memories of this Arcade is when I and my family go to this Pizza Restaurant called Pizza Palace and inside the restaurant is the arcade of TMNT and i was excited and since TMNT loves to eat pizza, what better place in a pizza restaurant right? those were the good ol days. :)

The plexi glass looks cloudy. It might have a protective film. You might want to check. Great video. I hope they make X men 6 person version, The Avengers, and Moonwalker.

I remember playing this years ago and enjoyed playing it. I tried the Arcade 1Up at my local Wal-Mart and my first impression was although it was fun to play, the graphics look too pixelated! This is a deal breaker for me. Love the game, hate the graphics. So at $400 this is a pass for me, and I will continue to enjoy it on my NES or PS2. I personally want Arcade 1Up to release the Capcom arcade game Alien vs. Predator! Love pork sausage and mushrooms on my pizza. I like your "Go Ninja" dance, Bridget!
is it me or did the lyrics to the turtle intro sound like they were sung by different people to the original one?
They don't have the rights to the original vocal track, so they had to re-record it.

It was apparently sung by those who did the Nickelodeon theme song, which I noticed too.

My second (or third?) grade teacher’s boyfriend helped develop this game. She came to school with a bunch of flyers and swag for each student. I still have it all. ☺️

I would always play this arcade game after my Saturday morning youth bowling league. I would always use Leonardo because blue is my color. This brings back so many memories.

I remember playing this at a department store lobby in my hometown. We had very little money and our allowances were 1 quarter a week, but this was how I loved to spend it.

It's great that Arcade1Up is making these accessible for everyone, but people will never get to appreciate how bright and vivid the colours looked on a CRT, at any angle, no matter how good you think what you're looking at on that LCD monitor is :(

The first time I played tmnt arcade was on a mall near my home. The cabinet was the only one there adapted to a bigger crowd, it had seats for every player and the line was bigger than any other machine there. Always played as Raph. Even today he is my first choice every time I play a TMNT game, on the middle of my gameplay I choose the other ones. XD
So many great memories with tmnt arcade games.
They should just bring this game back for a PS4 release or at least Nintendo Switch 😁🤷🏻♂️
The HD remix version was released on Xbox. Really great update of Turtles in Time.

James D I’m sooo mad I never got a chance to play the remix version,by the time I moved and got my house to get Internet they took it off the market. Do you know how pissed 😡 I was? I’ve even made a call to Microsoft myself and asked when are they gonna bring it back,the lady on the phone explained to me that the license expired that’s why they took it off the market. She told to make another account in a different country because they still sold it in Japan,and UK. I tried it it was a no go. Did some research and found out about emulator. I figured this before I leave this earth I’m gonna have tmnt arcade. Lol this is what men have to go through to get best things we enjoy in life.

I am so glad that Arcade 1UP is making these available. All the fun of the arcade without the germs/stickiness on the controls from other kids, damaged controls from some kid playing too rough or raging out over losing, some jerk carving his initials into the cabinet surface, or the squeaky voiced teen assistant manager telling you “I’m sorry, but you’ll have to leave.” because you ran out of money.

I am 40. A kid during prime arcade era. Never got into arcades. Was more into Nes and Snes. Though i regularly played street fighter, mortal kombat amd nba jam at the local store "pamida" (now different store and where carts are stored) while mom shopped.
But this main tmnt arcade game was way better on nes. Beat it many times. I was considers "the wizard" around town. If anyone gets that reference.

Ok so I know that these machines are smaller, but we are all bigger at the same time. That’s sucks.🤣 When this came out I was abt 10 years old and like 90 pounds; now I’m 36 and about 200 pounds. But I know playing this will make me feel like I’m 10 again.👍🏽

There is protective film on both sides of the deck protector. You clearly only removed one, that's why it's not clear.

Pretty sure most arcade machines of that era have a thin piece of plastic over the panel artwork so that wouldn't happen.

These 1UP machines are a fun concept but putting one together looks like an IKEA nightmare
They're actually really easy to put it together. If I can do it, anyone can. Unlike some furniture, the instructions actually tell you everything you need to know. I've seriously had bookcases harder to assemble.

The 1989 TMNT arcade game was my favourite for some time after it was released - the character selection background music would be good for a ringtone as well.
I think it makes more sense to have one of those in common areas of college dormitories, or fraternity houses. Or like they say, an office. For playing video games at home, that's what home consoles are for.
