Got my tmnt turtles in time cabinet and I’m so glad I waited and didn’t spend a 1000 on eBay for the first version. I love the coin slots, Wifi is great, The style cabinet looks bigger and great in person, The light up deck and marquee is great and the tmnt game with the original start up song puts a smile on my kids and my face.
It’s great that 1up did a X-Men release. What is nostalgic for many of us is the six player, two screen, HUGE rocking speaker system arcade unit. This release is like a VHS tape. Not only the movie not in HD, your missing much of the picture. If your going to re-release the classics, go all out with the bells and whistles. A big pass!
Awesome pickup, bro. Loving it! This is definitely top 5 greatest arcade games. If this releases on a countercade, I'm all over it. I like that they've put a few games on it. that's definitely a nice touch. It sounds great too. Looks like they did a great job with this.👍👍

That's why I hardly ever played robocop as a kid, as that was the biggest coin muncher of all times.😂i don't think I've ever played it as dazzler. Awesome. The X-Men game is one of ny favorites. And i really like the Captain America and the Avengers on too. Never played the fighting game. The graphics look good too. I have rge MK one, and while i do like it, the graphics aren't as crisp as i was hoping. Extremely pixelated
Avengers Galactic Storm has a Killer Instinct graphics-like feel and that makes me feel good that that was emulated correctly because it means the Killer Instinct cabinet will be flawless too.

Finally went down to my price point. It’s $499 at target and kohls. Just picked it up. Can’t wait to add some better speakers and listen to the Blackbird fly by.

Most impressive arcade cabinet with all of the bells and whistles on it. Love the molded coin doors as they did a wonderful job on making it stand out well. The stool, custom riser and light up deck protector all give the X-men cab the magic touch in the presentation of displaying the cab in it's full glory. Also nice review of the cab strengths and weaknesses as well as some trivia on each of the games.

X-cellent review. Does the yellow in the X-Men logo on the marquee look a little dirty when lit up on yours? Wonder if it's all of them or if maybe some MDF dust is on the inside of mine. Looks fine when turned off.

I love how they have Both the game list and the Molded Coin Doors... Best of Both World's where it makes sense! Marvel Vs. Capcom was my Flagship cab that I was always going to buy if or ever A1up would release it. God, I almost popped a blood vessel when it was announced! That's why I spared no expense on it.

Jason, Love the review! The sound levels are all over the place, though. I'm sure it's a style thing, but I did have to adjust my volume several times during the review to hear your commentary. Still, I'm glad you're enjoying the new machine. I'm glad Arcade1up is showing more cross-licensing on their cabs. This makes me hopeful for a possible future Arcade1up 4-Player cab with 12 games on it, including the TMNT titles, Simpsons, X-Men, Golden Axe II: The Revenge of Death Adder, etc. It's probably the only way I could justify buying a bigger cabinet like this. Heck, let's load it up with 20 to 30 games (mostly 4-Player titles) and call it a day :) vgv

I got mine a week ago but haven't put it together yet because I'm looking for a house and it'll be easier to transport in the box plus I would be worried about it getting banged up. Really appreciate the tip on how to get back to the main menu from Avengers in Galactic Storm, that would've made me think something was wrong but glad to see that its just a small quark to the cab. It sounds like you and I are the same in regards to our holy grail of cabinets (Turtles, XMen and Simpsons).
Hey Jason, I just watched your insightful video featuring X-Men. I have a quick question for you. I've always liked games, such as Double Dragon and Mortal Kombat, but haven't played many similar games. If you could only have one Arcade1up cabinet between all the X-Men, Marvel and Capcom games, which would you choose? I ask, because I'm not really familiar with either groups of games and only have the money to buy one right now. Or would you elect to go a different route and choose, say, a Street Fighter cabinet or Killer Instinct? I've learned to trust your opinion, so please let me know. Thanks again!

I think it’s got the best mix of fighting, shooters and beat’em ups and the cabinet itself is really good quality compared to the older machines.
I agree man I love this cabinet. I've also been waiting for it since arcade1up started. I was one of the lucky ones who got it from target for 599. And to my surprise it showed up with the complete bundle with the stool and light up deck protector also. But I'm with you I was disappointed in the light up marquee. It looks fairly dull when it's lit up. I wish the colors were more vibrant on that. And I love those coin doors! They need to release new coin door front plates for their older cabinets.

Yeah I can definitely see now why this is more expensive than the other cabinets. Those molded coin doors, the additional buttons, obviously the licensing but I can tell, having put together 8 of these arcade1up cabinets myself, that the overall quality of this thing is probably the best they've ever done from top to bottom.

Dude, awesome video. I am glad to hear there are no line of sight issues with this cab. I passed on this one because of the price and because they are all fighting games. But I did order Simpsons which I think is the same shape cab. I was so bummed when it got delayed. Cap. and the avengers is one of my favorite arcade games.

Great review. Got mine on Halloween. I had an OG 4 player cab I got at an auction for $200 20 years ago. This is one of my time top 5 beat em ups and couldn’t pass it up. Galactic storm is a throw away game you play once to try and never play again. Spider man would have been perfect instead but that would have been licensing hell because Sega and Sony would both have to sign off on it.

Nice review as always. I have the original TNMT four player and if you hold the player 2, 3, or 4 buttons different things happen, like level skip, level complete. Out of curiosity, does that happen on this cab too?

Great cab and review, Jason! I am trying to justify why it is $200.00 more than NBA Jam. It comes with a stool, but so does nba jam. It is 4 player but so is jam. It has a light up deck protector. But so does jam. The coin doors are new and prob add like $50.00. So we are up to $550.00. Is the wood thicker? Do the stick and buttons feel like the best yet? Better speakers? Thanks so much, bro!

Surprisingly the Avengers in Galactic Storm game looks really good - very flashy and vibrant. Very fun too, not as crappy as I thought. 2 player tag vs the cpu in story mode is pretty cool. Love Cap and the Avengers, always been one of my faves and I'm with you on X-men being tops in beatemups.

ADDITIONAL: The artwork on the side of the cab is cobbled together from the works of multiple artists straight from the comics (which is why it looks kind of inconsistent).
Nice cabinet! Only thing I don't like are the fake coin doors. I don't know just for some reason I don't like that it's pretending to take coins like a prop.

Another reason why Galactic Storm tanked was because by the time it showed up, Capcom had released Marvel Super Heroes which was well received and despite the pre-rendered graphic style, Avengers in Galactic Storm was shoved into obscurity.

Thank god I bought this for Xbox360 and hooked it up to my klipsch speakers/subwoofer.. the tiny speakers on this $700 dollar "arcade" is such a downgrade compared to what I have. Enjoy that artwork on the cabinet though lol.
When your lives are up and hit continue, it allows you to select any character for the new credit. The online play works flawless from my experiences with it.

Some people have nostalgia for this game but personally i played captain america more and xmen was never as iconic as tmnt. That said i have the original tmnt and you may play it once or twice total and never touch it again. Even online play beat em ups get boring even though I love them.

The marquee area is why this is a no buy for me. If the marquee filled the top it would look great. Or they could have used less wood to make the marquee look less small. Something just isn’t right about it.
Yeah I agree there with the marquee. It would look awesome if it was flush with the top. I think the reason they did it like that is because it would block your vision of the screen a little when playing standing up. It would definitely look much nicer if it filled the top there. Not paying $700 for this only 3 games if you have an Xbox 360 or PS3 you should of been able to buy these games X-men Simpson’s teenage mutant ninja turtles the only one that wasn’t the same as the arcade was the turtles in time on consoles to why I bought the teenage mutant ninja turtles arcade 1 up cause it wasn’t so much money $700 you can now go buy the original arcade machines for that price with real sting joystick very loud sound speakers that arcade 1 ups just don’t have

Captain America & The Avengers Data East, i hope they put that on a future Marvel Vs Capcom 2 Cabinet or Countercade. i loved that beat em up on SNES.
That’s a really fun game. I kind of wish they made the characters bigger in that game but overall I’m a big fan.

Love the review! The sound levels are all over the place, though. I'm sure it's a style thing, but I did have to adjust my volume several times during the review to hear your commentary. Still, I'm glad you're enjoying the new machine. I'm glad Arcade1up is showing more cross-licensing on their cabs. This makes me hopeful for a possible future Arcade1up 4-Player cab with 12 games on it, including the TMNT titles, Simpsons, X-Men, Golden Axe II: The Revenge of Death Adder, etc. It's probably the only way I could justify buying a bigger cabinet like this. Heck, let's load it up with 20 to 30 games (mostly 4-Player titles) and call it a day :)

Awesome video man as always. I got mine a week ago but haven't put it together yet because I'm looking for a house and it'll be easier to transport in the box plus I would be worried about it getting banged up. Really appreciate the tip on how to get back to the main menu from Avengers in Galactic Storm, that would've made me think something was wrong but glad to see that its just a small quark to the cab.

Hey Jason, I just watched your insightful video featuring X-Men. I have a quick question for you. I've always liked games, such as Double Dragon and Mortal Kombat, but haven't played many similar games. If you could only have one Arcade1up cabinet between all the X-Men, Marvel and Capcom games, which would you choose? I ask, because I'm not really familiar with either groups of games and only have the money to buy one right now. Thanks Magnum Rob I really appreciate you checking out the review. If I had to choose one cabinet, I’d go with the new Capcom Legacy Street Fighter ll Yoga Flame cabinet. I think it’s got the best mix of fighting, shooters and beat’em ups and the cabinet itself is really good quality compared to the older machines.
I agree man I love this cabinet. I've also been waiting for it since arcade1up started. I was one of the lucky ones who got it from target for 599. And to my surprise it showed up with the complete bundle with the stool and light up deck protector also. But I'm with you I was disappointed in the light up marquee. It looks fairly dull when it's lit up. I wish the colors were more vibrant on that. And I love those coin doors! They need to release new coin door front plates for their older cabinets.

Yeah I can definitely see now why this is more expensive than the other cabinets. Those molded coin doors, the additional buttons, obviously the licensing but I can tell, having put together 8 of these arcade1up cabinets myself, that the overall quality of this thing is probably the best they've ever done from top to bottom.

Dude, awesome video. I am glad to hear there are no line of sight issues with this cab. I passed on this one because of the price and because they are all fighting games. But I did order Simpsons which I think is the same shape cab. I was so bummed when it got delayed. Cap. and the avengers is one of my favorite arcade games.

Great review. Got mine on Halloween. I had an OG 4 player cab I got at an auction for $200 20 years ago. This is one of my time top 5 beat em ups and couldn’t pass it up. Galactic storm is a throw away game you play once to try and never play again. Spider man would have been perfect instead but that would have been licensing hell because Sega and Sony would both have to sign off on it.

Nice looking cab! Any word on whether the audio issues have been sorted out? Seems like all the cabs with a headphone jack since Big Blue have had the same problem.
The audio on this one seems to be good! No issues with low, mid and high volume on the X-men cab. And I haven’t noticed any crackling at all either.

Nice review as always. I have the original TNMT four player and if you hold the player 2, 3, or 4 buttons different things happen, like level skip, level complete. Out of curiosity, does that happen on this cab too?

Great cab and review, Jason! I am trying to justify why it is $200.00 more than NBA Jam. It comes with a stool, but so does nba jam. It is 4 player but so is jam. It has a light up deck protector. But so does jam. The coin doors are new and prob add like $50.00. So we are up to $550.00. Is the wood thicker? Do the stick and buttons feel like the best yet? Better speakers? Thanks so much, bro!

Surprisingly the Avengers in Galactic Storm game looks really good - very flashy and vibrant. Very fun too, not as crappy as I thought. 2 player tag vs the cpu in story mode is pretty cool. Love Cap and the Avengers, always been one of my faves and I'm with you on X-men being tops in beatemups.

Everything seems really close to the original arcade rom. The voice acting/settings are all the same.

Galactic Storm kind of ruined this cabinet to me. I don't like that controls (4buttons) don't compliment the primary game.
I hear you there. Not the greatest game for this cabinet. I really wish they put some more Konami beat’em ups on here like Sunset Riders.
Another reason why Galactic Storm tanked was because by the time it showed up, Capcom had released Marvel Super Heroes which was well received and despite the pre-rendered graphic style, Avengers in Galactic Storm was shoved into obscurity.

Thank god I bought this for Xbox360 and hooked it up to my klipsch speakers/subwoofer.. the tiny speakers on this $700 dollar "arcade" is such a downgrade compared to what I have. Enjoy that artwork on the cabinet though lol.

Please show us online play. I’m concerned about character switching. I hope you are not forced to play as one character for the whole game.
When your lives are up and hit continue, it allows you to select any character for the new credit. The online play works flawless from my experiences with it.

This is a one game cab
Some people have nostalgia for this game but personally i played captain america more and xmen was never as iconic as tmnt. That said i have the original tmnt and you may play it once or twice total and never touch it again. Even online play beat em ups get boring even though I love them.

The marquee area is why this is a no buy for me. If the marquee filled the top it would look great. Or they could have used less wood to make the marquee look less small. Something just isn’t right about it.
Yeah I agree there with the marquee. It would look awesome if it was flush with the top. I think the reason they did it like that is because it would block your vision of the screen a little when playing standing up. It would definitely look much nicer if it filled the top there. Not paying $700 for this only 3 games if you have an Xbox 360 or PS3 you should of been able to buy these games X-men Simpson’s teenage mutant ninja turtles the only one that wasn’t the same as the arcade was the turtles in time on consoles to why I bought the teenage mutant ninja turtles arcade 1 up cause it wasn’t so much money $700 you can now go buy the original arcade machines for that price with real sting joystick very loud sound speakers that arcade 1 ups just don’t have
