      Thank you! It does take the better part of a week to do the project from start to finish. I am getting more efficient and try to do fewer takes which simplifies editing. I also have passed on making the videos cinematic. I believe people watch the videos I make for the content and information. I have upgraded my equipment and the new videos will look better as I figure out the best ways to use them.

      Thank you! The Segway would be great for you. The extended battery version is a bit heavy but the standard one is a good bit lighter. The heavier one can be handled but you need 2 hands. Long time no see!!! A while back, I got a sit on electric scooter much like your gas scooter for really cheap. Didnt run, and I didn't care. Was wanting the friction generator for a future project. I do presently ride a 49 cc scooter to work and it uses around $2.00 in gas a month. I almost hate to go back to a vehicle. :-) Good to see you back!

    Something as large as the electric folding bike, and the gas bike could easily go along on the Prius on a receiver hitch bike rack. A quick Amazon search showed models as low as $68USD. You can get super posh units costing $700, great for 2 heavy ebikes using ramps. ElectricBikeReview has some good CZcams videos.

    You could get a trailer hitch for the bike. I just bolted one on to my Prius using existing holes. I didn’t even have to jack it up. Although a cinder block covered with a rag to hold it in place while you ratchet it in is very helpful. Got mine from etrailer.com. They even got videos to show you how to do it.

    hey i have that blue bike. it's great because it folds so i can go out and if i get caught in the rain or something i can just get a ride and toss it in the trunk. only downside so far is that some idiot called 911 because they thought the battery was a bomb :/
    also the battery pouch on the front is not very durable. mine was all wobbly for a while and then it pretty much fell off, so if you're doing modifications I'd love to see what you can do for that
    oh and one more thing, that light on the front WILL break. mine stopped working the first time it got wet, and then completely broke off soon after.
    now that i think about it I've actually had a lot of (mostly minor) issues with this bike, though overall it's still a great bike, especially for the price (and the weight; most are way heavier)

    • @timdillen
      @timdillen  Před 5 lety

      I had seen that about the light - does not hold up. Everything looks like a bomb now! I have wedged the battery into all the cables to help reduce vibration wear but see that the straps are not the most beefy. Might need to find a better bag - that would be challenging. Thank for the info!

    I ride bicycle in dress. Do you think I could do that with the gas bike kit? Do you think it could be added to a 3 wheel bike?

    • @timdillen
      @timdillen  Před 5 lety +1

      The way the chain runs on the gas bike, it is a bit high. It comes with a chain guard but I did not put it on mine. The guard is not the best, I would worry about the dress. I don't think the kit would work for a trike without some modification. You you have someone who is handy they might could make it work.

    Hello! May I ask you a plumbing question? I just had my hot water heater replaced and had the guys place an aluminum drain pain under the ng unit facing the drain (it’s about 3 feet). If they hardline it in it will be a trip hazard and pain for future repair ppl (it’s in my mechanical room). The drain pan came with a predrilled evac hole and was supplied with white plastic hdw to glue in the hard piping. I think this design is stupid in this case. Can you suggest a way to adapt the smooth evac open ended plug to something that can be attached and unattached like a garden hose type threaded fitting (but one that would survive pressure of the heater “letting go”.). The white plastic supplied hdw is maybe twice the circumference of a garden hose so couplings to downsize it might be required. Did that make sense to you? I had crews finish the lower level recently with quite a few custom materials and products I am testing so don’t want any possibility of water infiltration damage

    • @timdillen
      @timdillen  Před 5 lety

      I have an idea for you. I would unscrew the fitting/pipe to the pan and take it down to your big box hardware store and find the plumbing expert and get an adapter to let you attach to a garden hose. Then you can screw it back on the pan with the adapter, screw on the garden hose, and easily move it out of the way when you have workers. You can use an old hose and cut off the length you need.

    Electric bike is the only way to go. With anything that is gas powered you are very limited as far as where you can operate it. Scooters and skateboards don't do very well on dirt roads or trails. Electric bikes are allowed on any Trail that regular bike's are permitted on.🚲

    • @orionevans10
      @orionevans10 Před 5 lety

      Joe U That is incorrect. Most places that allow bikes, people and equestrians (like many trails) do NOT allow ebikes. If you're out on BLM land or other places that allow OHV use, than it shouldn't be a problem. Each trail/city/county/state/etc is going to be different, and you should do some research before going. Just want people to know a lot of places that allow mountain bikes, do not like anything with a motor, electric or gas.

    • @timdillen
      @timdillen  Před 5 lety

      I am fortunate that in my area there are no prohibitions on electric bikes. There is no state law (NC) regarding them so they fall under the federal law. Must be no more than 750 watts and not go over 20 mph. As long as I stick with that then they are allowed where bikes are permitted. The Ancheer I bought is pretty stealth and very quite. No ones notices. The battery is hidden in the front nylon storage bag. Will have the video up Saturday morning. If there is a sign on a trail that allows pedal bikes and not electric bikes I would just peddle.

    • @orionevans10
      @orionevans10 Před 5 lety +1

      PSC Camper Conversions that's cool, and glad you researched. Just wanted to let some people who haven't checked that there can definitely be some limitations. I thought about getting an ebike, but decided to just go with a regular mountain bike. Less things to break, no worry about laws and regulations, more exercise, etc. Looking forward to this series as its something I've been thinking about more.
