    could a seat be added to this for us older riders?

    You mention adding a battery to your S2. Can you talk more about that? Ie: cost, difficulty of installation, pros/cons of doing it vs just buying the S4. Also, helmets; if you had to choose only one helmet, would you choose a scooter helmet or bike helmet? Bike helmets seem safer/ better constructed, or a scooter helmet because it has more coverage? TIA!

    Can you ride this on dirt roads? Might be useful to know for camping.

      I tried it on gravel and did not work. I would worry about the dirt getting in the motor on dirt roads. Since the thing is so expensive I would just use on paved surfaces. You might look for one with big air filled tires. Try searching Off-road Electric Scooters. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the video! Nice job. Do you know anything about the Ninebot ES# sold at Costco?

    Thanks for the video! I just picked up an ES1 myself. Do your bars move front to back at all when the scooter is locked into the upright position and you're not standing on it? Mine's got a very small amount of play which I think is normal and related to the action that must be taken in order to fold the scooter. But, I am asking around to see if others see the same thing in case I need to go after tightening something up.

    THANK YOU! This is a great series! You speak to the ride comfort, but maybe a scale to compare comfort; where a large tire bike is 10, what would this scooter be? I can image your body would FEEL the vibrations and bumps more with the small tires. I am impressed that this scooter goes as fast as the bike and further. I look forward to your final pros/cons at the end.

      Thank you! The ride on the scooter is definitely more harsh than the Ancheer. The suspension on that bike is wonderful. After about an hour on the Ninebot I am ready for a good sit down break. I think it is a great way to get around in an urban setting where you can go eat somewhere or enjoy a nice scenic place. You would not want to take the Ninebot on gravel, sand or badly broken pavement. The gravel is a bit of a rough ride. I don't notice any vibrations on standard surfaces. I am really torn about which vehicle I like best. I enjoy eat one so much. The next series on the gas bike has been a blast and I can really go long distances, I was surprised how much I enjoyed riding. The Ninebot has great distance and I will definitely keep that one in the Prius camper.

      I have not really seen much charge drop when storing. I charged it fully and it sat for 3 weeks and when I went back it read 98%.

    So what is the consistent stop speed with the unlocked limiter? Does it help going up hills compared to stock, what about wheel spin and how actually is the range when you going at consistent speed rather than stop and go.

    • @timdillen
      @timdillen  Před 5 lety

      I don't know how to unlock the limiter, wish I did. Have not searched the internet for a way to do that yet. It will hit 20 mph and then back off to 19 mph stock. I have not been able to test the range as there are no flat places in my area and I like to run full throttle. The battery lasts longer than I do. I know that does not help much.

      @@timdillen I apprechiate the answer. Looking forward to new Segway Ninebot Max, looks promising.

    My girlfriend has a white squirrel that visits her backyard in Wisconsin. Maybe it's albino.

      That's neat! I have always wondered why they have not migrated out of my area. They have been here since before people started keeping records. People will lament how they ran over a white one but not when they do a gray one.

    I'll bdt 18 to 20 mph on those little wheels feels like you're flying. And falling off at 18 could still cause some major damage, since we can't run that fast. I can't run that fast !!!

    • @timdillen
      @timdillen  Před 5 lety +1

      Yes! The first time I rode it I thought 10 mph was absolutely terrifying. About the third time 15 was all I could take. After the 5th time I was maxing this baby out! Falling off at 18 would be painful. It's interesting how your body adjusts and you feel safe with the handle bars. Practicing stopping really helps.
