- Canine or other teeth can sometimes be retained and not erupt. This problem is known as an impacted tooth and can be solved with various techniques, including orthodontic traction.
00:00 Introduction:
This 3d video from Clínica Médico Dental Pardiñas (j.mp/cPardinas) shows what an impacted canine is and how it can be tractioned with orthodontics.
00:07 Why aren't my permanent teeth coming out?
Sometimes, a canine or other teeth can be impacted within the bone without erupting, caused by various factors such as lack of space, trauma, agenesis, etc.
00:14 Orthodontic traction of impacted canines:
One of the treatments can be the extrusion of the canine by means of orthodontic traction.
To do this, an access to the tooth is created through the gum and bone, and a button is attached to the tooth. Little by little the tooth is tractioned until it is placed in its correct position.
01:05 Canine included positions:
The impacted canine can be in different positions, and depending on it, the access will be through the anterior area or through the palate.

1 of my teeth never grow backed and another fell out and another one is loose I worried that my teeth isn't gonna grow back
I lost a tooth 3 tears ago which for some reason HURT SO MUCH and idk if it was ready but it hurt and it has not grown or poked out in 3 years and idk what i should do or should i worry
I had this experience. I have been wearing braces for 3 years now. I was making space and pushing my teeth on the left side so the right canine would fit. The process of making space for it took 1.5 years. After that I had canine teeth exposure surgery that was really painful and I even got bruises under my eyes. They open your mouth from left to the right canine and the surgery lasts 1 hour. To get to the point where the chain was even showing it took about 5-6 months for teeth to start coming out. I had surgery in July and first time I saw tiny pice of mu tooth was January. Now in April we had placed a bracket on the tooth and just now in May we can se almost the whole tooth. Unfortunately you are not finished yet when the tooth comes out cause you need to move your teeth back to the right and that takes at least one more year of wearing braces. The process is long and the waiting part is the worst cause there are a lot of chances of the tooth coming rotated or not even coming out. I think that the results at the end are worth it!!! Please if you have any questions I can speak from my experience cause I know there are not a lot of videos or pages about it. It’s painful, frustrating and long process but it’s definitely worth waiting and fighting!
I got braces while I still had baby teeth and it pulled my bottom teeth together and now I have a tooth that won't grow in because there isn't enough space. how long did your process take alltogether?
What the procedure called?
oh my gosh, that sounds painful. i also realized that im kinda in a same situation like you. my right upper canine also didn't come out. the dentist told me that it was because of lack of space so she gave me expanders. i stopped wearing them after abt 6 months. she also told me that if it didn't come out, it would need surgery lol. now im scared...
Same my upper both incisors did not come out (permanent teeth) the whole teeth also move a lot so do I need to do a surgery plz tell me
@@enalisaphawa2634 unfortunately you have to aks your dentist that but first you have to take pictures so he can see how they are placed inside vertically or horizontally
Finally, I have finally found a solution to my problems and depressions 😭😭😭😭
I have this problem in one of my upper front teeth. My baby teeth fell off over 12 years ago but my permanent teeth isn't out yet. I have had to stomach several bullying through my High school and I'm halfway through my university education.
I'm 23 years by the way, I hope and pray I'm still within the age grade for this to be corrected 😭
Lol im 23 with the same condition.. scared as hell .. dont know how long this surgery will take
Same condition 😫 iam 17
Same but I’m 15, and it means I can’t get braces (I have a gap in my front teeth)
I'm too!
What age group is able to correct it?
That’s what happened to me. But I never got to complete the process from when I started in the early 1990s. My mother got impatient with the process of bringing the tooth down, and made me stop treatment halfway through. The bracket is still on my tooth after thirty years, and I have a gaping hole where the tooth should be.
Wait. YOU can’t get that taken care of now?
do you get put under when they drill through your bone?
the same thing happened to me except my dad stop sending me to appointments because of covid and now he won't take me to appointments again cause he's so impatient with my progress and he said that it cost him a lot and now im stuck with a gap hole and a gold chain bracket thingy
Is this for a lower molar posterior
in my lower jaw there is only one tooth which is really tiny and my other teeth in the lower jaw are spaced out and crooked.
Hi sir.... My age is 32...My molar teeth was removed.... Can this method be used to bring the molar teeth back
Just had this treatment 6 months ago and both canine came down already hihi
this been happening too me I was scared ofc lol I went to the dentist Normal they checked my teeth but the bottom ones has be growing for the last year and they said I might have to get filling after watching this video I still wanted my teeth back I mean my teeth won’t grow also other teeth won’t grow but they didn’t talk about those.
Hi! I have this problem, 4 years ago( I was 16yo) I extracted my milk canine because it had been moving for a while but not all the way. Mine did grow, but not fully, I’d say about 3/4. What is the treatment for this case? Thank you!
It depends on the case, but maybe an orthodontic treatment.
🙌Muy bueno! en español lo pueden traducir ?😀

oh no my other tooth isnt growing and its exactly like this what should i do?
I had this same problem and 4 days before my appointment to see if I need surgery I saw a tiny piece of my front tooth I’m almost 13 and I lost my front tooth at 9
Does this hurt
Hi I'm 11 years old I pulled out my 2 teeth where the vid showed but idk what to do bc it hasn't grown back
I am 19 years old and have a similar problem. My lateral incisors did not grow. Can I still get this kind of help at this age?
Yes you can
I am so scared I took both my upper canines out two years ago and they have not grown back in despite being there. I am terrified.
My front two teeth are less grown than the other teeth what to do
Hi , plz tell me some treatment 🙏🙏at 2018 my two baby tooth just broke and it took 3 years to get another tooth and also my tooth isn't fully grown it is half grown and it is not growing anymore and at age 11 I broke my baby tooth again and it is taking two much time please tell me some treatment 🥺🙏🙏🙏🙏
Does upper canine grow lately??
My canine teeth aren't coming through I'm afraid I'll have to do this and it looks painful
I have a tooth that I pulled out when it was on its last thread of gum but that was 3-4 mouth ago any idea how long it will take for it to grow in this is my last adult tooth
Was it a temporary tooth? It that case it may take a couple of months, if it’s not impacted. If it’s impacted it may require orthodontic traction
Me: already 2yrs my two teeths haven't grown yet...
Hi my my daughter extracted her milk tooth 4months ago and the permanent one didn't come out until now, do I need to bring her to the dentist or just patiently wait for her permanent tooth
You can take her to a checkup at the dentist, to make sure it’s coming out properly
What are the chances of my front impacted tooth to come down using the gold chain? im 24 years old and have not worn braces yet. i heard that the older you get the less likely the tooth would come down as they are fused.
Yes, it would depend on position and if the root is fused to the bone or not
@@Dentalk im 15 and i havent had a tooth for 5 months should i be concerned? and i really hate how i look with braces and hate surgeries so i really dont hope thats a solution
@@mealo I’m in the same boat , I really don’t want to go to the operation but I don’t have any other choice :( did you end up finding another solution ?
@@BabyShark-yg6to i have had braces for about a month and my tooth is literally almost down already so i guess i was just kind of lucky but yea i feel you on the surgery part
Does this have to be done using braces?
Usually yes
I am 18 years old my teeth was regrow naturally ?
I have 2 adult teeth stuck at the top row and it's leaving big gaps in my teeth. I don't have the money to get the surgery and braces. I've had this smile for so long, it's one of the most things i am insecure about. 😮💨😔
Learn to love yourself no matter what! I've had the same problem and now my teeth are growing naturally after I've widen space for them by wearing retainers , I was insecure too but u should know that you are pretty either way! Try to consume money or convince your parents to sell things they don't need in order to fix them, this is related to your health! I'm sure they're going to understand
My tooth fell out over 2 years ago but the permanent one isnt growing out what should i do?
You should go to the dentist to check what’s going on, do an xray yo see how are your teeth inside
How much time it takes?
It depends on the case, but a few months usually
what happens if we dont do anything to teeth that hasnt grown out and leave it there? any side effects?
If they are not affecting any structures they can be left
If they are touching the roots of lower incisors then?
What will be the side effects?
Both my upper canines didn't grow back i am now 20 years ...there is no teeth underneath my gum also....what kind of treatment can be suitable for me??
A study of your case should be made in order to make a diagnosis and possible treatment. Without seeing you we cannot say.
I have my canine not showing
Its expensive i want to do it
My little niece had both of her upper middle teeth removed months ago, one of them fully erupted while the other has no sign of wanting to come down. She's 8 years old. Is this common? I'm worried, should she be taken to the dentist? If she was my child I would've done so like yesterday lol but I have no say.
Hello, yes should be taken to the dentist to check the situation of that temporary tooth and the permanent.
@@Dentalk Hi, it's been 3 months since you replied to me. My sister still don't want to take
my niece to the dentist. She says the child is too scared to go to the dentist. Something i've noticed is that my niece developed too much gum over her upper teeth (I think it's called gummy smile?) could this be related to the permanent tooth not coming down?
@@Dentalk how long does it hurt for
How many months it would take??????
My condition is similar to this
It depends on the case, 4-5 months
@@Dentalk Thank you....
My orthodontist made me this but on mobile braces, i had this operation in April and now is January, my tooth is still inside, how long does this take??😭
Is it coming down? If it didn’t move it may be ankylosed
my dentist said canine didnt grow in my teeth because there's no root. so he suggest to put removable denture. is it possible that people might have no root for their permanent canine? thanks
i have diastema and also loss canine (i have no permanent root for the canenine to grow my doctor said)
Does they put you to sleep when they do that cuz my permanent tooth wont come out and im scared as fuvk
No, just local anesthesia
@@Dentalk what does that mean?
@@inamobeschar1258 I'm pretty sure it's just something that helps with the pain
no pain but you’ll just be awake
I have the same situation. My permanent teeth won't come out for a few years. My dentist said they need to do the small surgery as the video shows. Due to trauma I still dont dare to go back to my dentist.
My four canines are impacted. Both upper canines have came. But the right lower canine are not coming after about 7 surgery. What will i do. My dentist is telling me that my brackets is not sticking. Why? I m losing my hope and patience. And a canine gap is also in my teeth. Due to which in future other teeth can drift if i leave this process in half. Its so painful to have 7 surgery for only one teeth,😵
Maybe it is ankylosed to the bone and that’s why it’s not moving. In that case one solution is to remove it and once the ortho treatment is finished replace the gap with an implant
If a front tooth never fell out, but years older round 39 it had to be taken out by the dentist, its there another one inside the gums like this one
Gosh none of my canines are growing it’s been already 9 months since I have broke my canines am scared af
one of my cannies have not grown and it still hasent even shown signs. I lost my canine at november 2021 and sitll has not grown wtf do i do
How long does it take upper canine tooth to grow? It has been weeks and there's still a gap. I'm scared
It can take months
@@Dentalk I took out my upper canine in november 2021 and there is no signs of growth what do i do?
@@arcturus4520 did it grow?
I took my canine out at nine now I’m eleven I only see a tiny tooth there that’s it barely and tooth there
My premolar teeth is pulled out due to cavity how to grow that teeth ? My age is 18 i am so depressed
What happens if the tooth is horizontally impacted like mine? 😫
Depending on the position it can be tractioned
@@Dentalk my impacted canine is really close to the roots of my 2 front tooth is it better to have an implant or have it corrected
@@hexonedits9252 i have the same situation 😭
@@joxafoxa2552 glad to know im not alone

STOPP I NEED BRACES BUT THIS IS SCARING ME COZ MY TEETH WINT GROW BACKKK 😭
Me too 😢
I think this only happens to the kids because teeth falls and grows in the child age
That’s why you need braces in this case because invisaline won’t save you for this case
The whole thing don't make me go to doctor anymore
ortodoncista los brackets
What the fuck i have 8 teeth to pull down I'm soo dead.
