How do these creatures live at such great depths under so much water pressure?
Tim's answer: "It's cuz they're fish."
Garrett The Carrot Well everybody knows that fish are stronger then metal...
Dude, the fact that Tim said that, it made me facepalm. Not just any ordinary kind of fish can live down there. If a fish that lives close to the surface of an environment managed to be teleported down there, it would cease to be in a second. Why, because those fish have miraculously managed to adapt and change to such elevation. He makes it sound as if the fish down there are comparable to the ones up above such crevice
Chaotic Carnage lmfao agreed for sure, but I do understand that a lot of fish adapt, but there are many small life forms and small types of fish along with other kinds of species that survive down that, like to me it makes no sense even for a Megaladon n Giant Squids n shit to live that there cause all that water surrounding them is Metric tons of weight, so it’s literally crushing your body, and those small species n life forms aren’t getting crush by that strong ass force of water, shit just mind boggles me. Cause even tho I understand they’ve adapted and are fish, I just don’t get how they are crushed by the weight n pressuresee
Chaotic Carnage his points still valid bro.... it’s because they’re fish
Take a near surface fish and bring it down there instantly and it would get crushed. And Other way around the fish would explode 🙌
All of these could be the cause of the colossal squid. Literally all of it. The disk eyes. The many bite Mark's. It's just telling over reactions and stuff.
The crew said they were teeth marks. Squids have beaks not teeth. Unless the device was shining light there is literally no way that enough light could have gotten down that far to make the disc glow like that if it was just an eyeball. It’s a good theory. Not a very backed up by evidence one but a good one
@@mikethemanager4016 ok but you do realize squid tentacles have teeth right?
LandSquid 161 yes however they aren’t big enough to create the large bite marks that the crew said they’re were. It could be possible but it’s unlikely
@@mikethemanager4016 actually, the size of their teeth is very Large, you know they are able to create lacerations on sperm whales, the toughest animal out there

Is that a joke or what
Even fish can die to water pressure that is why different fish live in different zones of the ocean. Clownfish cannot go down 7,000 meters without dying.
vCroozin Dude a fucking jelly fish in.deep deets is insane dude like at this point anything is possible and shit probably there are more smaller species that we haven’t seen yet in those depths.!Honestly I’m not even gonna be surprised if we found a giant sea horse or some shit down there

I want there to be one but........
sucks because non of them exists in that deep bottom since almost all the nutrients are in the surface, big creatures like that need to survive in surplus amounts of food and energy, since almost no life is in the bottom and no sunlight reaches it, such big creatures wouldn't survive.
I like how Tim is surprised by how "we just figured out boats in the 60's" when we apparently literally sent a person to the moon in the 60's.

MZY Star why can’t whales do that exactly??
Mitchell Loller Whales weigh 4.4 tons (not max, Average) . So there’s a possibility that whale weighed less than 4.4 tons, and boats like those weigh almost as much as them. Imagine going head on against a weight almost as heavy as you, you’re not gonna go far with it.

Perfect flawless footage of the tiny jelly fish. No photos or videos of the 90 foot long Megalodon 'thinking' lmao
Honestly this video just showed me Tim is completely devoid of common sense
From the comment about just having boats figured out in the 60s.. to the comment about how creatures survive at those depths because.. they're fish.. plus the fact that I'm pretty sure the narrator doesn't mean literal green men "aliens," he just means unidentified sea creatures that would just seem strange and alien to us on land.
PsyberKayos the video is dumb af tough
It’s all good we still love him
Calm tf down nerds
I just love that people instinctively associate the word "alien" with extraterrestrials... The literal definition of alien is based on being unknown/foreign to us, which is why illegal immigrants and unknown creatures are called aliens, why we feel alienated when alone...
Look, we’re talking about Tim here.
You do know that most extraterrestrial creatures are foreign to people, especially if they aren’t studying into it, right?
Right, but that's not how homeboy in the video phrased it. He literally referred to the orb thing as a remnant of a lost civilization and compared these findings to how we search the stars for intelligent lifeforms. These are just undiscovered sea creatures. Alien to us, yeah. But not alien in the way the narrator used the word.
@Mykeh Sooooooo, everything is an alien? Cause everything was unknown/foreign to us at one point?
Delta Squadron everything WAS an alien, not IS, we know a good chunk of things now, but there are still many things alien to us.
They guy in the video said Mariana Trench like 20 times, and Tim is like what did he say? MaRiNeRA Trnch.

Fish can adapt to survive in pressures that can crush metal and people still don't think evolution is real.

Adrian890722 Godzilla
@@Enraged_monkey Your ass.
also megalodon (as most sharks) is cold blooded so it would not survive in the cold waters of the Mariana trench. And to add it would be crushed to death under the pressure since they didn't evolve to handle it.
its possible that over the years of survival it adjusted in those deeps and mutated to live there basically, i mean 1.5 mio years are a lot of time for that
@@ili_711 most likely it would have to shrink in size, become cold blooded and learn to navigate in the dark. 1.5 million years is not enough time for that.
This was absolutly fascinating
It’s nearly impossible for a warm water surface dwelling shark to adapt to cold deep water plus there would not be enough food to sustain a shark of that size. They eat whales dolphins and others large creatures not small fish
If we ever saw aliens we would just think they're a new type of highly intelligent animal.
To think that the sea is huge, imagine the whole outer space, I wanna be alive when the future is around
When I heard his reaction at the end I lost 1000 IQ😂

Been watching Tim for about 3.5 years now and I love him more and more every day.....but flick me sideways is he thick 😂
Tim be spittin straight facts
That emoji with the green frog eyes popping out of its head always cracks me up everytime I look at chat
A megalodon could not have survived deep in the Mariana Trench, the pressure would have killed it, it would not be able to find enough food to sustain it, and it would be too cold. If a Megalodon did evolve to survive in the Mariana Trench, it would be so different that it wouldn't be called "Megalodon" anymore.
Not unless it came up from the depths during the evening to feed and went back down before dawn
@@KAIJUKING123 That still wouldn't explain how it is supposed to survive the massive pressures and incredibly low temperatures.

Subnautica gets a Real Life DLC...
Ah yes. A megalodon. You know. The biggest shark to ever exist is in the deepest part of the Mariana Trench. You know. Where very small organisms are. Of course one of the biggest sea animals can survive off small fish
Yeah, that whole theory is just hysterical. Everything we know about the megalodon points to it being active in warm, shallow, coastal waters, where it can feed on other large megafauna. Even with millions of years of adaptation, how on earth could one of the largest predators to ever live be able to survive in a dark, highly pressurized trench where the only food is just small fish and crabs.
Toms idea of how the world works is pure bliss
