Ceramic coatings are not going to stop the scratching. You will have to use a plastic film to protect it. Next there is a video talking about a seal problem on the saddlebags.
Make sure the bag does a double click when you close them, push closed one click lean on it again for the double click. I have had two Indians hard bags and learned that the hard way. Love that color waiting on my silver quartz smoke DH premium.
Nice Video, Thanks. I see what you mean about the tank sitting up kinda high, definitely up above the seat level by quite a bit. Hope you figure out the saddle bag leak. Beautiful Bike. Enjoy😎😎
The paint problem is not because of you - it is inferior paint/finish on Polaris part - for a 35k+ bike - unacceptable! The fairing paint on my Challenger is still perfect, yet the tank and saddlebags paint has micro scratches even when using quality detailing products such as Bug Slide and premium micro fiber wipes. My 2020 HD Ultra still looks brand new with 7k miles while my 2020 Challenger has only 2500 miles and looks like it was not taken care of…. Which it is, of course. I would suggest talking to your dealer and have them send off for a new tank and have it wrapped before it is even put on. Good video - nice looking bike!
If you don't latch it with the "2" clicks the bag will leak water never slam the lids, only push on the lids. you have to close them soft but make sure you hear the "2" clicks. Only push the lids down. And ad far as heat go's It's still very much there. You will feel it most at low speeds the stage 2 doesn't really take it away. I have 1700 miles on it and came with stage 2 And the engine heat is excessive on the right side.
Ok easy fix for you , go to auto parts store and get M3 buffing compound ok. Using it with a waxing pad working it gently and wipe off. Don’t be afraid of it the clear coat is thicker then u think , and applying it by hand there is no way u will screw up ur paint. Also gently close ur bag u til you hear two clicks, if you just slam it it will not seal ok. If I get a chance I’ll take a pic of the 3M bottle and send it to you.
Try placing your knee on the seat, then swing the lower leg below that knee over the bike while your knee stays in contact with the seat. I use this technique for getting on my Rocket 3 and you're much less likely to knock your bike with your foot. In my experience, it's easier on your hips as well 🇦🇺
@@fenrizwulf6682 in my experience, it's best for the pillion to put one foot on the peg and stand over the bike then sit down, hanging onto the rider's shoulder while the rider is already mounted. Like getting on a horse.
very nice bike. the only thing that was bugging me is that big black trim piece under the seat on both sides. either ditch it or have it red. keep riding. 😎
That's correct. Opening them all the way make a lot of air turbulence and doesn't reduce the heat much unless you're moving slowly. Opening them only partially gets rid of the heat and gives you a nice draft on the highway.
I think this is an awesome bike in every regard. My only issue is I think the saddlebags are really small relatively speaking. I am currently riding a victory cross country and the bags are so big I can fit in the kitchen sink😉
I think the bags are just a touch bigger than H-D bags, but I know they're massive compared to the bags on the Vintage, so I'm quite happy with them, other than the leak in the left one.
About the only thing that Harley has on Indian (aside from the looks and sounds) is they put a great paint job on their bikes-Indian you better not leave it outside if you can prevent it because it was cause issues with that paint job they put on it. My Triumph paint job still looks the same today as it did back in 2015
Get some marine compound, and it will take the scratches out. Then finish it up with a marine fine compound then wax it! Get with the dealership, water should not be able to seep in.
Nice bike, best of luck with her. I am considering a Pursuit but struggling with limited or dark horse. If I may, how did you decide on the limited? Thanks
Want to buy a Future Gem ? Diamond in the rough ! Than buy a Victory Sport Cruiser , only built two years , mines a stage 4 102.7 I think he said , the motor guy , he was on the Victory original design team , all machine work , almost 10 lbs removed from the crank , spins to 6450 rpm now , over sized intake valves , 2003 complete transmission , the motor guy , also built all the proto type Victory Pipes , lots of rings & tig welds , he had them on lifts , complete new 2003s & 4s , before they hit the showrooms , So Cool , VICTORY BABY !
My man!! you slammed the shit out of your lid!!! hahahah it should not be leaking obviously but yes like the others said when you push it them down it will click and then it should click a second time!!
Why do people pay $30k for a motorcycle, then pay another $5k just to be able to ride it comfortably?.....this is why you buy touring bikes used, let somebody else pay to make it comfortable for you.
That sucks about how easy the tank scratched, fat or not shouldn't matter, not your fault. I've heard for how nice these bikes are, the clear-coat is soft and cheap and does scratch easy .... downfalls to every bike out there and I guess that's one of Indian's problems. I know I''d be irate if it were me with less than a thousand miles and it looked like that already!
Yeah, I'm pretty disgusted with how easily the paint scratches on this bike. That's my biggest complaint about this bike. I did make a warranty claim about the paint and have yet to get any response from Indian.
@@fenrizwulf6682I'm guilty of having a belly myself, but have never scratched ANY of my bikes (and I've had many over the years) like that. I am anal and careful with my stuff, but that's clearly cheap paint on Indian's part for that bs! Wasn't aware of the water issue in the bag either since I 1st commented before finishing the video it pissed me off so bad, lol.
@@fenrizwulf6682 Forgot to ask how much the stage 1 deal costs? I'm considering one of these bikes, just not sure if it's worth going into debt again or not since mine is paid for.
@Brian Zaborowski I'm not sure on the cost on just the stage 1, I have the stage 2 and it was about $4k. I'm sure the stage 1 is a lot less since there's a lot less labor.
@Brian Zaborowski I fixed the water leak myself. Indian did respond to the warranty claim on that, but it took a while and I didn't have the patience to wait and then have the bike sit at the dealer forever while they messed around with it.
I'm 6' even and weigh 220 lbs. I'm a little heavier than I should be and I have a bit of a belly. My gut doesn't rub the tank, though; my riding vest and jacket do.

The bag is definitely all the way closed and latched all the way. I have started a video on it, so there's more to come on the leaky bag.
Love from DeKalb Mississippi USA 🇺🇸
THANKS FOR INFO!, GOOD IDEA
Nice Video, Thanks. I see what you mean about the tank sitting up kinda high, definitely up above the seat level by quite a bit. Hope you figure out the saddle bag leak. Beautiful Bike. Enjoy😎😎
Thanks. The saddle bag leak is mostly fixed, I made a detailed video of that as well and it's up on my channel.

I always pack a light bike cover when we travel. It rains alot where we go on vacations.
Sounds like you're the Rain Maker 😂. Maybe hire out your services for drought affected areas! 😂🇦🇺

I'll try that. The boot scuffs on the bags are my wife's doing; she's very short.

I agree, that black section of the cover would look much better painted.
Apparently, if you turn those leg fairing vents towards the engine, it cools your legs better

What a beautiful bike….
Thanks!
I'm trying to decide on a windshield for my 2023 Pursuit. Which one is shown on the bike in your video? Thanks...
It's the Indian 11" flared windshield.

For the leak, are you pushing down until you hear the second click? Just one click is not fully closed.
It's fully closed and latched.
wow really true what they say about the paint clear coat not cutting it"
The paint is beautiful, really looks great, but the clear coat is soft and scratches very easily.
What's the official name for the colour of your ride? It's not the same red as the Dark Horse Pursuit, is it? 🇦🇺
Crimson metallic over maroon metallic. The dark horse is a different red, I think it's ruby metallic over black.
Harley paints are pristine. Beautiful bike though.
Do you feel that the stage 2 upgrade was worth it? Was the bike underpowered to you?
The bike had more than enough power stock. The stage 2 was not needed at all. But it was worth it.
Hows the Navigation and the radio screen ,, software etc,,,,Tx
The screen looks great, and it's pretty easy to use. The the navigation works pretty well, but could definitely be better.
Nice motorcycle lift! What brand is it?
It's the Handy SAM 1200

I chose the limited because I prefer chrome over satin black. But with some of the colors on the Darkhorse, it is a tough choice.
@@fenrizwulf6682 Does make for a tough choice. Appreciate the feedback and ride safe.
Is that Stryker red color?

The clear is pretty soft. It scratches very easily
Tank guard will fix that scratching.
I think I'll have it buffed out and get protective film put on before I park it for the winter.
