Being that Challenger and Pursuit are spiritual successors to my beloved Victory Cross Country, moving on to one of these Indians is what I see in my future of road bikes... The problem now is, my 9 year old, 73k mile Victory rides so well and has so much life left, it'll be a very long time before I'm considering a new road bike. 😉

@@thierryfaquet7405 The way I see it is I bought my Victory to ride...It was never meant to be a "financial investment", money spent on it was for the enjoyment of my time and I reap my rewards every time I get on the bike. If I sell it, that defeats the purpose I bought it for... Plus my Victory has long been paid-off, I can't see a reason to spend a huge amount of $$ on a new bike when I get so much from what I have..

Hi MotoBob! Thanks for all your videos! You’re one of my favorite moto channels. Quick question in case you can help me out: I’ll be going to London for a business trip (first international trip since the pandemic!) and was looking for a recommendation for where to shop for general motorcycle gear (jackets, boots, gloves). My go-to shop has been Infinity Motorcycles (which I discovered because it was close to my hotel in Holborn). I ride a Street Triple so road gear, basically. Thanks in advance!

Hello Motobob - Let me first say! I have ordered a Pursuit. Delivery schedule mid July. The first thing missing on the bike is reverse. I believe any bike over 600 lbs should have reverse. The other thing is weight. The bike could weigh much less. Replace all of the chrome metal parts with aluminum. Replace the fairing, bags and trunk with carbon fiber. Items I would pay extra for them. The Goldwing and K1660 both have reverse. Maybe Klockwerks or someone will read this and see a after market idea.

I have a BMW M6 convertible. One money pit is enough for me. So no on the 1600. The Goldwing seat is too high for me to get my feet down and the electronics don't fit my OCD. Also when I go to my Indian dealer they service my bike and get me back on the road. We have to schedule out our Can Am Spyder 8 weeks in advance to get service. Then it takes them 3 days. Can am dealer is Honda dealer also. So for me the Indian is a better choice. So my new Indian has been delayed to the end of August. If I don't receive it by the end of August I will have to pull my order and reorder a 2023. Buying a 1 year old bike for full price does not make a lot of sense. Just me!

I received my Indian Pursuit Icon a few months back. I also have a HD Ultra Limited in comparison, everyone likes the looks of the Indian over the HD. Positives with the Indian 1. Suspension, massive improvement over the HD. 2. Leg room, being 6’4” tall, the Pursuit fits me better but I could see how it may be a bit large for shorter riders. 3. Great handling, extremely stable at speed. 4. Seat comfort, the stick seat is more comfortable. 5. Tech is much better than HD, from infotainment to TPS sensors. Things that are worse 1. Build quality, side bags leak during a wash. 2. The lag in turning the radio up and down is irritating. 3. Servicing the Indian is much more difficult, the oil plug for example is in a weird location and be very careful not to over torque the soft aluminum oil pan. 4. The engine sound is better on the HD, much more of a deep rumble. 5. This may be just mine, but shifting from third to second, the clutch sticks and you need to jiggle it about until the engine warms up. Overall, the HD gets a bit more ride time but not by much, they are both really good bikes.

    Bonjour

You might be right about weight. Although this bike is not much different in weight to a full
Tour Goldwing. What I loved about my test ride of the pursuit was the absolute lack of vibration. This bike is water cooled and almost too smooth for my taste. It’s the absolute opposite of a HD ride experience. Power band comes on in a very similar fashion as the GL 1800. Although the weight of the GL is much lower with the gas tank placed lower. I sold my bmw 1600k bike two years ago. I just could never get comfortable. Not on long trips anyway. K bike is incredibly too heavy with a tall seat height . The R1200rt is an amazing ride. I will give you that. It might just be the perfect compromise of sporty ride and comfort .
