  • This one goes out to Mike Jones and his lovely wife Lee on the Gold Coast in Australia. My wife talks about how the ride is on the back of the Indian Pursuit. I tried to get her to say at least one negative thing, but she didn't have one.

    There are a couple companies making mounts that move the tour pack back 2" to give the passenger some extra room. We have one on the Harley and the wife really likes it.

      I have seen those, and I've considered getting one, because she has plenty of room, but she pushes me forward on the seat and I feel a bit cramped with her on the back. If and when I get one, I'll make a video, but it'll probably be next season if I do get one.

    Good video! I find it easy to take the trunk on and off

    Finally! I've been waiting for a comprehensive pillion's pov for the Pursuit and you guys have come up trumps with this one! It's probably the final tick in the plus column for me. The only items on the minus side are price and availability here in Australia. It'll probably be pushing $50g AU by the time it's available here, if ever.

    Love the look of the Pursuit. Reliability always been an issue for me on these big V-twins, but Indian seems to have got it right with this bike. For me its now a hard choice between the Goldwing and the Pursuit.

      All I can tell you is that you should ride both and pick the one that's best suited to you.

    I installed an aftermarket set of tour pack quick release mounting system to my 2019 Roadmaster. It moved the tour pack back to inches and gave my wife ample room to move around. It is identical to factory and looks excellent.

    For the passenger trying to get on from the left side of the bike its probably easier to step on ped/floor board with left leg and step straight across with the right. With or without the rider. Vice versa for the other side.

    Love the color of your bike. I have the white/black Dark Horse Icon on order since April. It’s been a long wait, hopefully it will arrive soon.

    One would think that if you're dropping $35K+ on a new bike that it would be perfect! Mine has been shipped and hopefully I pick it up this week. I look forward to verifying your findings Fenriz. Also, my test drive will be the ride home too!

      I recently purchased a Challenger, I mumble that same sentimate to myself all the time. The truth is that you will not find any bike that is perfect. I blame the grumpy old man syndrome personally. That and my expectations are rarely realistic. haha

    May i humbly advise your wife to put her left foot on the left peg , then stand over the bike then sit. Way easier than her current method. This would also work while the rider is mounted on the bike. 🇦🇺. This is how i get my pillions to mount, after I've got the bike upright

      I've tried. I've shown her videos. She won't do it. It feels awkward to her, I guess.

    I would be interested in how the ride is for your wife over bumps and potholes in the road. My Harley is horrible to where my wife will not ride anymore. Here in Michigan we have more bumps and potholes than smooth pavement. So how it rides over that is very important.

    • @fenrizwulf6682
      @fenrizwulf6682  Před rokem

      She doesn't seem to mind it over bumps, there aren't many potholes here, so they're easy to avoid. The suspension on the Indian heavyweight bikes is quite a bit better than stock H-D suspension. She hasn't ridden on the back of a Harley, so she has no way to compare the two. I ride a variety of bikes at work, and suspension upgrades are a pretty common thing on Harleys at my job.
      Changing the rear preload for added weight of a passenger makes a big difference too.

      @@fenrizwulf6682 I have gone on demo rides of Indians (including the Scott) an am very jealous of how much better they ride than my 2005 Road King Classic even after putting a Legend Air shock system on the rear. On my demo rides with the Indians I would aim for the bumps and potholes then wonder if I actually hit them.

    Want a Pursuit! I have a Challenger with everything short of the Tour Pack. Even the hard lowers with the lights. I have too much invested so I’ll just have a DIY Pursuit. Is your seat different than a Challenger?

    • @fenrizwulf6682
      @fenrizwulf6682  Před rokem

      The seat is different. I have the Premium package, so mine has the diamond stitched headed seat, but the base model has a different seat than a Challenger too
