Holy shit! Can't believe this was 10 years ago. The nostalgia is REAL. How is it possible that I still dream of Brett and Dan after all this time!?? The only high school crushes that have never gone away. They're probably married to the luckiest ladies alive by now, haha. I honestly hate what this genre of music has become, but this band (the original lineup) and this album continue to blow my mind after all these years due to the originality it encompassed. They were the gateway to my passion for metal, even though I considered them a guilty pleasure. Thanks, ASL. I wish they would reunite for just one tour. Would buy tickets in a heartbeat. Does anyone know of any of the original band members current projects? I can't seem to find many that are still active.
Elevate: I Am, Joe's side project with Kris and Matt from the final ASL line-up (Well, Matt has since left E:IAM) & John from the Self-Titled Album Era, is reuniting after a 2-year hiatus. Also, Dan has a side project with Kris & Matt from the final line-up called Deadhorse, but they've only released a demo. Elevate: I Am released an album.

I personally fell in love with a girl who made me listen that Shooting Star song, so I heard that a lot. It was pretty bad, at the time. Now it's pure nostalgia.

Some bands disappeared, while others quickly changed into something more "mature", and renegate that past. Digging up these old hits made me feel that in around a couple decades this will have been almost completely vanished from music history, maybe with only a small note.
