Been playing this nonstop ever since my grandfather died. After he died, my mom’s beatings gotten worse. I can heavily relate to the lyrics. I feel lonely inside, yet I try to find someone to blame it on. It is just so painful. Yet, this song still lets me remember the beginning. I will remember my grandfather until I die.

The color blue is usually associated with sadness. So many times I've seen people say this song is meant for those with blue eyes. The first time I really heard this song was in 2003. It was on an airplane, this song was playing when all the passengers were about to board. That was 20 years ago...I'm 30 years old now and I was 10 years old at the time when I heard this song with my mother. Since that day I associate this song with a lot of things, as soon as I hear it I always see myself on the plane with my mother....how quickly time flies. As a child I wanted to grow up quickly and now as an adult I want to be a child again. Rest in peace mom

This song is fitting to describe me. My parents still the same so no relationship. Never had anyone to turn to. I keep it all inside but im still here alive. Wish i could find a person to lean on but have yet to find one. And just turned 30. Used to guard Air Force One in DC. Part of me wishes I had not made it back home from Afghanistan so someone else could have. Can anyone relate? Because too many take me for granted

I am proud that you have the bravery to live because you truly know the pain and so, with this knowledge you truly can feel and give love and so you are no "evil" and you did not deserved this. This song reminds me of my dad who’s had a lot of struggles and still has many. He has blue eyes and everyone else in close family has brown ones. Including me. He’s the one who got me thru everything, he’s helped me when he has his own problems and mental struggles. He had a hard time growing up and yet somehow made it thru and be someone great. I can’t help but wonder what he sees, and how he gets thru life. he never seems happy, and yet he’s always there no matter what,
putting my family before himself. I hope one day I can understand him better and be someone he’s proud of.

Depression is a silent and effective assassin. Exposure is it's kryptonite, sadly like an abusive partner it holds its victims hostage through fear and shame. It even pits it's victims against those who could help by planting seeds of irrational resentment. If you are suffering please don't hold it in, tell somebody trustworthy what you are going through so you can get the help you so deserve. For the rest of us It's our job to stay vigilant and make sure we give our loved ones every opportunity to ask for help

Recently going through the loss of my wife who decided I am no longer worth her love, I didn't realize how much I've been bottling up my feelings, trying to remain "strong" until I just read your post. Hiding my feelings has not been easy, yet it's what's constantly encouraged to the point of ridiculousness. "Stay strong", and "You'll be OK" are the two most common comments I hear, constantly. Why do I have to stay strong? When am I going to be OK? I just lost the love of my life. I've never felt more weak and powerless in my entire life. I know I'll eventually recover, but why do I have to rush it, or try to ignore it? Why do I have to stay strong? Because I'm a man? I feel like I'm bottling up my feelings and staying "strong" so the people around me feel better. How is that helping me? All I'm doing is making their lives easier.
Fuck them. I'm sad and miserable and I need to be! If they don't like it I'll just avoid them so they won't have to shed a tear for me. I don't need anyone's pity. I just need to let my feelings out. If I have to do it alone then so be it.

In 2017 my chocolate lab got cancer. On Father's day, he took a turn for the worse so we headed to the vet. He died in the back seat on our way and this song was playing on Sirius XM Octane. That's my memory of this song.

Hits deep.... Grew up from one foster home to the next, while being physically and mentally abused, tortured. Being the oldest trying to protect my 3 other brothers and sisters. Many times taking the harm and punishment for my siblings. When our parents finally got us back they split up and I bounced between them until they gave up on me. 16 years old sleeping on the streets, stealing to be able to eat and survive... I've overdosed and died twice, struggle with anxiety, depression, and who knows what else. But yet I survived and am still here, I have 3 beautiful children that I want to be here for and make sure they don't suffer the same as I did.

I have suffered a lot in my life. People say how can you be so positive after all you have been through. I hear stories like yours and think. What I have been through is nothing. I once met a guy who at 15 woke up to his house being on fire. He tried to wake up his mom and brothers. His mom climbed out a window but went back in to get his brothers. She and his brothers all died. To make it worse he was arrested and accused of setting the fire because he wasn't burned. Spent years in prison. Then when he was released couldn't coup with life and PTSD. Ended up in an institution. When I met him, he was living on the street. Be strong man.

I've liked this song since i was little then i heard it on supernatural and it bought me straight back to my childhood. This song has so much meaning for me. It helped me through my abusive childhood, everyone at school thought i was weird cause they didn't understand this song and thought it sounded too much like '"Adult" music. I grew up getting beaten by my Mother, and my Father was violent too. We never had food, in and out of foster care, didn't see my father for 8 years, had drunk people coming in and out of house. I know my childhood isn't as bad as some other people in the world, but it was hard for me. This song honestly saved me. Music is so strong in helping emotionally.

Hoje ouvindo essa musica, bate uma nostalgia...pq hoje vivemos em um mundo chato, problemático, perigoso, cheio de dificuldades. Ser adulto não é fácil.
